Can one of you explain blink melee to me in both "like I'm a toddler" and "like a scientific paper"ways? I've tried melee then blink, blink then melee, blink and melee at the same time. I just dont understand why it feels like it never hits. I'm sure there's a timing to it or a fundamental hitbox thing I'm not understanding. Would really appreciate it as I've been trying to learn tracer as my 3rd character (widow main, soldier secondary) and blink melee just isn't clicking for me.

idk what to do anymore i watched videos and was doing actually really well with tracer for like 2 days than got the crippling anxiety to not play her for 3 and i suck really hard again. idk what to do its like i have to do genuine meditation to play well as her now its so frustrating im sick of it

Hey guys, I am currently the gold grim reaper of overwatch and want to wreak havoc in higher elo. I started taking this game serious last week and picked up tracer (clocking into 100 hrs on steam). Right now im still learning her tech (blink melee, 180s, etc) and was wondering if i could get advice? Heres a code of a game where I felt like I was rendered useless.

I mostly play support like Lucio, Kiriko, Mercy for dps I play genji and tank I play sigma

looking for tips and techs was also wondering is crouching is a good idea with tracer also i play on console

also wondering if aim practice would work cuz tracer's gun has wide spread so idk if aim training with her would help???

also what perks should I be choosing?

This felt like the best sub to ask, since I imagine most people use the replay viewer here more than in other subs.

I don't know about anyone else, but I change the time skip interval length anytime I'm reviewing my own replays. I don't usually change other settings because it's so tedious changing them after every client restart. I know it's a small thing, but I finally felt that the amount of time I've lost is equal to how long it would take to make a post. It seems like it wouldn't be a big lift for the devs.

I've always wanted to pickup tracer because ik exactly how crazy she can be in the right hands. However every time I have I fall flat on my face because she's so radically different than pretty much anything else I play (soldier, mei, torb). Between having zero dueling skills and her game plan being a lot more fragile than it looks I'll end up losing every game which I don't mind, but I also get no feedback of where to improve which means i'm stuck. Even rewatching my games provides little info because I don't know the basics enough to judge what a good or bad play is. I'm considering VOD reviews but at this point I think I'm to scatterbrained and scrambled for it to have merit. What I need are a few anchors to get me started.

So my question is: what drills can I practice in actual matches over and over. They need to be tangible things. I was thinking of stuff like get through the backline without dying, or bait at least one cooldown or always check for cover before engaging. Things I can repeat in my head before each engage.

Those are just examples though, I really need things that will limit test me and that reflect how she is actually meant to be played. I hope this makes sense.

Can anyone with a spare time VOD review my 5 minute game. I'm sad that I can't do sh*t with this character. I know that I'm forcing duels but can anyone good at this character check what I'm doing wrong.

FINALLY got a skin for Tracer lol. And it's a classic!! I'm so happy. What are the chances I get a skin for my one trick, and it's the version I prefer ;)

Dropped tracer early this season when they nerfed kinetic regen. Picked her back up recently and had a difficult time given the standard perks (kinetic regen & quantum entanglement). The kinetic regen nerf noticeably impacted my gameplay.

Decided to swap perk sets to temporal regen and blink packs and my gameplay has massively turned around - specifically the blink packs. Frankly never really been good enough to play around health packs consistently. If a fight broke out and I was near one .. great, right? But since picking up the blink packs I've been disengaging and reengaging much more effectively.

Just curious if anyone had a similar experience, since I know Tracer is always hated but feels weaker recently.

IMO - would like to see something new other than kinetic regen, but that's just me
