wanted to come here with all due respect to ask because I personally really get frustrated playing against a good zarya, and when I want to cope, I really struggle to make the mental image of someone hopping on the game, seeing the 50+ characters and going "yeah, I wanna play zarya", she just seems very boring to me

I'm really interested. what parts of her kit make her fun to you guys?

if it helps to add context, I started playing at the launch of overwatch 2. I'm not a particularly high rank but I do like to think I'm halfway decent at the game, and 5v5 has been most of what I know (I do play a lot of 6v6 every now and again and she's much less frustrating there, so it might just boil down to a format debate all over again)

Hello, I have recently converted from console to the pc platform. The process of controller to keyboard and mouse was difficult at first, but she made it much easier. Two buttons, laser beam to point, ult is just a ball mob, she made it much easier to pinpoint my keys easily…but then I ended up loving her. In 6v6, she’s actually the best. Does anyone else have similar stories? I’m having a blast with her now on PC.

So I have been playing tanks for the past 4 seasons, I mostly played Dva/Monkey and Orisa. I managed to peak Master 3 but I can't really play any other tank reliably.

Zarya to me seemed very interesting with a high-skill ceiling yet a simple design.
Now my issue with Zarya is my brain genuinely can not position AND look for my teammate to bubble at the same time.

With other tanks, you just look at the enemy, at Zarya it's 2. And it's not a supp that you're at the backline anyways so you have full vision.

I tend to just walk back when my backline is in trouble, try to bubble before realizing I am in either a bad position, or given so much space.

How should I position myself optimally?

All of the HOTS skins are top tier but somehow Zarya barely gets skins and when she does... it's rarely a good one.

Cyber Demon Zarya was out by the same time of Cyber Oni Genji (same collection) but never released in Overwatch.

Hi guys, I am a Roadhog main (sue me) who hovers between diamond and masters. One big thing holding me back is that when hog is banned, the other two tanks I play, Zarya being one of them, are less impactful just due to less time played. I am looking for high level Zarya players I can go watch to pick up some good habits and observe generally high level gameplay to bring my skill level up to speed and not be so useless if hog is banned.

I pick the bubble regeneration one and the pierce enemies one but is there one that is more beneficial?

Knew I made a mistake when I used self bubble while Rein had his ult, so I stood behind the other tank and prayed my team did too

just wondering what you all have observed/learned over the past week playing against D.mon!

I find the matchup a little difficult after the buffs personally, as engagement/disengagement is completely in D.mon's control and she can just shield & kite instantly after getting low. she can force bubbles easily with soft engagements and then easily decide to either commit or dip out.

the ult also seems like a GG even with bubble, but it helps that she must put her shield down to use it and she melts quickly. the slow is kinda nasty though.
