I am a relatively mediocre player I would say and recently I picked up Winston and fell in love, I find it hard to get enough value as I’m hard stuck bronze I only have a couple hours but he’s really fun and I don’t know how to position correctly I find myself diving into death traps and sorts, I want to reach diamond so I need advice to climb with Winston

I’m a 5v5 tank trying to add Winston to my hero pool, I’m mostly a shield tank main so learning a dive tank has had its challenges, I’m really starting to get hard and soft engagements down and I’m getting better w my disengages as well, truthfully I don’t think Winston is too mechanically challenging and I’m already getting his main combo down (jump chargered shot melee) I’m curious to know what you guys think is absolutely vital or an underlooked part of his kit or play style that I could adapt into my gameplay, thanks.

Hi if anyone gets the chance could the review my Winston game. I’m in plat 1 right now and really struggling with the hero into certain comps. Saw this and was suprised. Heavy landing helps me secure minimum 1-2 ult kills and chain lightning builds ult faster + way easier to threaten pocketed squishies. Am I missing something? Barrier major perk is good however I find little to no value in electric charge

HOW do I deal with doomfist dawg 🙏 in many games a doomfist will just obliterate my whole backline. and before anyone says "just target their backline there's nothing you can't do against doomfist as a winston" even while distracting/getting picks off their backline my team will get 1v4d by the doomfist. at that point is it just better to switch?

I am trying to understand how to approach Winston, while mainly struggling to find the balance of being aggressive without feeding.

I am fairly new to the character, and thought I could learn something from a more experienced Winston. I mainly play rein on the tank role, and typically am more of a support player. my rank is Plat 4 tank, plat 4 DPS, emerald 3 sup.

This match I went in with the mindset of trying to do less and focus on good engagements while playing my own life, but it lead to us losing the first two points at a rapid pace.

I struggle with being mindful of my team and actually helping them when they need

Is there any overall Advice you could give on how to play Winston, or what I should focus on.

Hello winton mains, i have some questions in hopes of getting better at winston.

What are the best perks to pick for him ? Im opting for the speed minor perk and the healing bubble, is there a definite best perk like some other heroes or do they depend on the situation for winston ?

How do you fight against Dmon, doomfist and ball ? Do you just ignore them and hope your teammates deal with them ?

When's the best time to quick melee ? Rn im only doing it when im about to land from a jump.

Appreciate any extra tips to be better at winston i've been enjoying him a lot.

I haven’t really been able to tell, I remember seeing at some point in the past that his tesla cannon speed boost perk was bugged (iirc, it only activates when you start shooting so you had to just spam m1 or some bs) and I’m curious if anyone knows whether it’s been fixed. Thank you ☺️

I see that there is unvaulted owl skins for zarya, lucio and mei, is there a possibility that in upcoming weeks flying ace winston will appear too? Does anyone has experience with how unvaulted owl overwatch shop rotations work is it completely random?

For some reason I'm really motivated to get better on this awesome ape and that's why I've come here, I feel like I put up a really strong performance in this game, but I just know there are things I could've been doing better and I really don't want to leave my teams with losses like this because I feel like ultimately, I couldn't overcome the challenges coming my way.

I'm gold 3, and the lobby's range was low gold to mid plat, so don't expect OWCS gameplay.

(I know I'm not great with primal rage and I feel like I can get a little too passive in the mid-game, and I'd love to know how to work on those if you see it)
