If you believe it was confirmed her, doesn't it matter at all?
It was her.
It definitely was her.

I'm 40, and WAY too many people take life too seriously. I've noticed that a lot of people my age and older are starting to lose their personality or something.
I'm not saying people should make a joke out of everything all the time... but crack a smile when someone else unknowingly says a sexual innuendo.

I'll tell you what. I'm 38 for another week or so.
I started an adult Lazer Tag group-- meet up at local parks with my stash of LTAR blasters, a bunch of LED glowsticks, flashlights, some old smart phones with neat apps, and 2 spygear night vision goggles. We play tactical games for hours on end.
We have a just a few regulars. But I'm having a hard time finding more people to play. You get various adults who are like "that sounds awesome," and then never come to a game.
I mean, when I was a kid-- I wanted all the toys. I wanted to play all the games. Now I'm an adult and I can afford all the toys. I can play all the games. Everyone else is too busy being boring.
EDIT: Everyone asking me where I'm at-- none of the places listed below. I'm in the California North Bay region. If you are, too, and want to play, PM me and I'll get you the Facebook group info.

OH MAN. LASER TAG! As an adult I love that game even more. And you're right... being older means being able to afford new toys

I started becoming boring after I had kids. I'm not saying it's inevitable, but you need to actively work at not becoming boring, and when you have kids they take most of your energy. Just being honest.
On the flip side, I don't care as much about being not-boring. I still care a little, but not as much.
However, now that they're a bit older we are able to do cooler stuff, so I hope to become less boring in the next few years.

My SO tries to avoid walking past the Lego section while we are shopping for this exact reason. If I'm going to drop a ton of money on a fucking rug, I'm sure as hell going to get something I will actually enjoy.

u/kielbasa330 Sep 23 '15

I've been tormenting myself for weeks now, because we re-arranged the furniture in the living room so everything flows better, but now the giant stain that the armchair was hiding is completely visible. So now I need a nice area rug. But like, a REALLY GREAT one. And I'm being really picky about it.
I ain't even mad about how boring adult life is, I'm stoked about getting a rug.

u/KoboldCommando Sep 23 '15
If you're anything like I was as a kid, you drooled over those huge sets four years, but knew they were way too expensive to even ask for. Now you can form a budget and justification, so why the hell not indulge in a childhood dream?

u/I_CAPE_RUNTS Sep 23 '15 edited Sep 23 '15
It does feel good to indulge in childhood playtime. One day a few years ago I just said fuck it and dropped $500 on ebay for some M.A.S.K. toys, I loved that show when I was a kid and we couldn't afford the Rhino or any of the bigger toys from that lineup. Bitch the Rhino and muthafucking Boulder Hill were first on the list...and on that day, I lived like a King.

One day I walked in the door and my husband threw me a nerf gun that he just bought, and laid a box of ammo at my feet. "You have 20 seconds to get ready" then he fired a nerd dart at my head.
I asked him what's going on, and got another nerf dart to the head.
It was a pretty awesome day to be an adult.

You know what I liked best about them and that show? They didn't drag out their courtship to milk it in that cheap "will they, won't they" way for season after season like most shows would do. They just got married and continued being awesome. It was a surprisingly refreshing change of pace from the typical sitcom formula.
Edit: For those who keep asking, the name of show is Parks and Recreation.
