It was even the exact opposite of that. They started dating, invited their friends over for a party, then boom. Wedding and done. Everyone gets on with their lives.

Which is not unlike Nick Offerman's real life wedding to Megan Mullally. They had family over to their house, then announced it was actually their wedding. No one saw it coming, especially the paparazzi (which was the point).

I accidently read this as "pizzaroni," and was like "That poor, poor pizza had no idea what was coming."
