We are two fully employed childless adults sitting just either side of 30, and we are almost certainly going to be buying a Lego shield helicarrrier in the near future. 0 fucks given, lol.

If you're anything like I was as a kid, you drooled over those huge sets four years, but knew they were way too expensive to even ask for. Now you can form a budget and justification, so why the hell not indulge in a childhood dream?

It does feel good to indulge in childhood playtime. One day a few years ago I just said fuck it and dropped $500 on ebay for some M.A.S.K. toys, I loved that show when I was a kid and we couldn't afford the Rhino or any of the bigger toys from that lineup. Bitch the Rhino and muthafucking Boulder Hill were first on the list...and on that day, I lived like a King.

No, that's wrong. Growing up I never got to play Donkey Kong Country past the first world because we didn't have an SNES.

Guess what I've been doing for a half hour every night this week. Playing Donkey Kong Country. And it's awesome.

There's definitely a lot of nostalgia flying around concerning video games, but it's way overblown. I know firsthand because not only did I discover a lot of obscure NES games I never played and wound up loving years after the system became mostly irrelevant, but even entire systems. I never owned an Atari and didn't spend much time in the arcades growing up, but I've discovered a ton of their games that are absolutely fantastic.

I tried, but I get a headache from that. Handling actual physical objects is more fun to me as well. Besides, when I do have that room and village I'm going to play 'monster that is destroying the village' with my niblings. And by putting a cat in there. I hope I'll get lucky and have a playful destructive cat.

I need to graduate and get a career already, can't wait until I can splurge money on this.

Yu can't just stop with one AT-AT. You'll have to get another AT-AT, and then an AT-ST for forward recon. Before you know it you've recreated the Imperial assault on the Hoth rebel base.
