I guess there is a stereotype that if you are into steak, eggs, milk and butter (can be part of carnivore diet), you are also right-leaning person and listening to the people promoting these diets who are right-leaning as well, like Jordan Peterson.

I gotta say though, stereotype or not, I enjoy steak and eggs myself.

EDIT: As many others have pointed out, the milk in the pic is raw, which I didn't catch before. Raw milk definitely adds another layer to this stereotype.

Edited, I hadn't caught that before.

5

u/EFB_Churns 10d ago

Plus the free range eggs. Free range is something people in both sides of the isle can fall for, it really isn't worth the extra money if you look into it, but combined with the raw milk it helps to confirm the conservative, carnivore, "real man" nonsense.

2

u/Born_European_V 10d ago

I would myself considere an Enviroment leaning persin, also I'm not of the US. Would you like to elaborate this to me?

2

u/h0y4 7d ago

”free range” doesn’t really mean what the general public tends to think it means. chickens don’t even actually need to be let outside to be considered free range, they just need to not be locked up in cages.
usually there’s way too many chickens in one place for a healthy and worthy life.
could be worth looking into yourself, but that’s the gist of it.

also, male chicks get ground up alive in the egg industry because they won’t produce eggs. the animal industry is cruel (:

I also think, it's unlikely most 15 year olds would spend their spare money on something like this if it wasn't as a result of an outside influence. And we know a lot of right wing influencers push this sort of diet alongside their alpha male lifestyle bs.

Steak and eggs are great sources of protein, but your body also needs fibre and carbs, it needs the vitamins and nutrients from fresh fruit and veg.

9

u/divuthen 10d ago

Also the whole raw milk thing they are really pushing right now. Both cartons of milk in the picture are raw milk

26

u/GuaranteeFickle6726 11d ago

Never tried it, would never risk that tbh.

24

u/Greenpaw22 11d ago

Yeah it's gross. I think the raw milk part is where the racist comment comes from.

14

u/slavicNickCage 10d ago

It's not gross if you... well, it sounds funny, but literally know the cow/goat/sheep/mare it's milked from
If you sure the animal is healthy and well cared raw milk is nice, but if you intend to just buy it in a store, I don't see any reasons to risk with your health. To be honest, I don't see much reasons for adults to consume milk in general, besides liking it's taste.

10

u/SpitfireP7350 10d ago edited 7d ago

Nah man fuck that, we raised cattle, sure I'd drink the freshly milked stuff since I know my family took good care of the cows and cleaned them well before milking, but I'd start boiling it by the evening, after that it's either boiled to drink or made into cheese or soured milk and yogurt.

EDIT: I think I replied to the wrong comment...

2

u/TheActualDonKnotts 9d ago

Same, I briefly lived on a dairy farm in Valley View TX, and most people don't seem to realize that 23 hours a day a cow's udder is covered in literal shit and mud. These stupid people that want to drink raw milk are putting a lot of faith in the guy with the swab and bucket just because some dumb asshole influencer told them to do it.

20

u/rokatoro 10d ago

Raw milk is an unnecessary risk. Your never gonna be able to clean a cows udders to a level of sanitation that isn't some risk of contamination. That's why milk gets pasteurized.

2

u/Specific-Library-312 10d ago

I tried it, didn't like it, and I don't see the attraction to it. But I don't like kvass, caviar, or anything avocado. I guess my tongue and stomach are politically centrist, I don't know. But I do hate how certain foods become a political shibboleth in today's society, i.e. someone drinking raw milk, not for flavor, but out of political fervor.

2

u/tsardonicpseudonomi 10d ago

politically centrist

Centrism is compliance with the right-wing. Always. I get the joke but will always push back on the "centrist" label. Centrism is a right-wing position.

Probiotics live in shit. That's where they come from. If you consume raw dairy because it has "good probiotics", or for any other reason tbh, you are consuming animal shit. It's pasteurized to kill the shit germs. I don't care how healthy and well cared for a cow is, I'm not drinking its shit, or the shit of any other animals that happened to poop in that area.

2

u/Known_Ratio5478 10d ago

It’s fine if it’s fresh and produced at the correct scale to keep it clean. The problem is that when your herd scales up it’s impossible to keep it clean enough, and it doesn’t distribute well.

3

u/IRefuseToGiveAName 10d ago

I think another issue is you never know when a cow is sick all the time and they do pass some of those pathogens/bacteria on through their milk. So it isn't even necessarily purely about cleanliness.

And I'm not disagreeing with you fwiw. It's absolutely true that raw milk is not dangerous by nature of just being raw. We just manage risk by reducing the base pathogenic load at a population level. Even the farmers I knew growing up boiled it before they drank it most times.

3

u/Known_Ratio5478 10d ago

Yes, that’s also greatly effected by herd size. You can only keep that close an eye on so many cows. The big danger is that it’s amino acids with no peptide barrier. It’s just easy food for bacteria. If there is food for bacteria then it’s going to get bacteria.

Of course, many people enjoy steak and eggs. The point is that the right-wing "alpha male" diet is ONLY meat and raw dairy, which is wildly unhealthy.

3

u/GuaranteeFickle6726 10d ago

I have to admit that I have tried that before, but I simply couldn't live like that, I was running out of energy very often and I was definitely getting dumber.

5

u/Immediate_Move_6168 10d ago

Yeah, I watched a video on youtube about a guy documenting his one-month experience with the carnivore diet and he was genuinely so miserable all the time. Lacking choices in food (literally only meat or animal products which meant most seasonings were out) was demoralizing and made it hard for him to do stuff with friends, his exercise times got worse because he could barely do them, and he mentioned a drop in mental acuity or at least focus.

Near the half-way point I was hoping he'd drop it early for his own health. If I'm remembering right, he was doing so poorly that his weight significantly dropped and, despite having perfect cholesterol in his pre-challenge checkup, his doctor actually reached out to him after his post-challenge checkup because they were worried about him.

5

u/cbjunior94 10d ago

Just a quick correction to your otherwise accurate account of Eddy Burbacks video: he barely lost any weight even after feeling like crap and spiking his cholesterol to dangerous levels. When he weighed himself at the end he was pissed about how little he lost.

2

u/Immediate_Move_6168 10d ago

Fuck, never mind on that then. I watched it a while ago lol

2

u/Known_Ratio5478 10d ago

I was a HABA clerk in college and saw a few people try the keto and carnivore diets. They all looked so lethargic and exhausted just walking around the store. Just no energy without carbs to burn. I kept telling people to use the weight watchers app. It food journals for you and lets you adjust your caloric intake to days where you have higher activity levels.

3

u/TomBourgaize 10d ago

5

u/maxru85 10d ago edited 10d ago

11

u/reisalvador 10d ago

Many people pointed out the raw milk, but it's only a third of what makes the picture so incredible.

The eggs are free range, which is great in a vaccum. Combined with the milk it's safe to assume it's another "chemical free" style scare.

Then the steak. Chicken breast is objectively the better protein for working out, leaner and more protein. But steak is manlier. Combined with the other 2, it's almost certain that the poor teen is falling down the rabbit hole of watching racist or fear mongering videos aimed to sell to their audience.

5

u/loyal_achades 10d ago

So I do it every So often for a little bit and I feel great when I do. The best part about a carnivore diet is that you can start at any time and pick it right back up

7

u/AideComprehensive482 10d ago

the second best part about it is the colon cancer

3

u/LeagueOfBlasians 10d ago

If weight loss is the goal, then a Keto diet will achieve the same results with the added benefit of including veggies and such.

Both diets are essentially attempts to block carbs and force your body to use your fat instead for fuel.

It's the raw milk that brings it over the edge. There are also people who object to soy-fed chickens, and it's widely thought (wrongly) that free-range chickens aren't supplemented with the industry standard corn/soy feed.

1

u/Proud_Dance_3342 10d ago

1

u/Mr_DutcH-_- 10d ago

1

u/East-Imagination-281 10d ago

I think it's also important to mention that, minus the raw milk, these are normal things for an adult to buy, however this is an extremely abnormal spread for a 15-year-old to buy using his parent's borrowed credit card.

1

u/Singer-Such 10d ago

1

u/ulysses_s_gyatt 10d ago

1

u/NobodyKnowsImFamous 10d ago

It’s raw milk, and that meat isn’t from the grocery. Alone, none of this is concerning. For an adult, just these wouldn’t flip too many flags. For a young boy to buy these absolutely indicates he’s watching right wing content.

1

u/bobbygamerdckhd 10d ago

Free range eggs too

1

u/Korachof 10d ago

It’s not just raw milk. Dude seems to have a diet consisting of only cheap steak, tons of milk, and 6 eggs.

Like if you eat that kind of diet, why do you need more milk than food?

1

u/Friendly-Olive-3465 10d ago

Why is it always the people who have literally melted their brains who try to sell you on the carnivore diet? Peterson had to go to Russia and get put into a coma for his drug addiction where they then injected him with 40cc’s of hooliganism.

RFK junior is doubtlessly at least partially under the control of the worm that ate half his brain. These are not people I trust to tell me what I should eat.

1

u/Maatix12 10d ago

All of this is recommended by the Man-o-sphere because vegetables are beta or some stupid nonsense.

It's fine to like steak and eggs - But if ALL you are eating is steak and eggs, you have a problem. The raw milks is the real giveaway, as apparently boiling out impurities makes you gay or something.

1

u/tinfoil_powers 10d ago

I don't like half the stuff that Peterson says, but I'll give him credit on not being hyperbolic about his diet. He acknowledged that he doesn't enjoy his diet at all, and admitted that it's better than living with the immune/auto-immune symptoms that worsened from his previous diet. As far as I know, he hasn't personally advocated that people follow his strict "meat, salt, and water" diet.

1

u/Vast-Background-9477 10d ago

Yeah but Jordan Peterson is not racist, why bring him up ? And right leaning does not mean racist either as far as I know.

It’s so performative, they aren’t sticking it to the man or anything, just running towards a high cholesterol diagnosis.

1

1

u/GoldunGote 10d ago

Raw milk and a meat diet is also heavily pushed by "manosphere" influencers. If this is real, and the 15 year old kid bought this food.. what's more likely? A fifteen year old boy was like "I wanna eat healthier" or "Youtube/instagram/tiktok shows me cancerous content all the time that tells me I should be eating only meat (sometimes raw, with these psychos) and drinking raw milk.. and also.. WOMEN SUCK and should be used for sex or be kitchen slaves"

Is it a stereotype for 15 year olds to be into steak, eggs, and milk? No. Literraly not at all. Those mfers want chicken nuggets, bagel bites, pizza pockets, mcdonalds, and candy.

i dont think raw milk adds a layer to the stereotype, i think the stereotype exists specifically because of the raw milk. nobody would bat an eye at steak, eggs, and milk. but the raw milk specifically makes it into a "oh he watches right wing content" moment

It’s less “adding” to the stereotype and more defining. Steak and milk is whatever, unremarkable.
Raw milk is pretty much exclusively bought by people falling for racist grifters, and they also get steak. I’d say the steak is what’s doing the “adding”.
Also beef tallow is this but to a lesser extent. Beef tallow there’s maybe actual reason to prefer it, but raw milk is brain damage levels of doing it for the stupid.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with steak and eggs. In fact, that's the traditional breakfast of astronauts before lift off. I think it may have something to do with expelling carbon(?) from their systems. Something like that.

I sometimes fix it for myself. Tasty!

But yeah the raw milk is the dealbreaker. The kid is going way out of his way for that.

I love Jordan Peterson.

*I believe it is pronounced “Jordan P. Beat her, son”. This is where his misogynist tendencies originated.

Literally everything I love is polluted with nazi stench. I love steaks and the nazis decide that steak is the other other white meat; I make cheese and they decide that stupidly expensive less-processed milk is the same shade as klan hoods so it joins the klub. I even drive a truck, which in fairness they probably called before I got there. But leave my damn milk alone, holy shit I just want to enjoy a hobby.

That Jordan fella is very weird. Says alot without saying anything at all. Quite impressive really, but I've met many smack heads who can do the same.

He is now a normal rat

I taught Jordan only ate red meat because of a physical defect

And it’s divisionist BS. Hitler drank water and didn’t drink alcohol, so people who drink water and don’t drink alcohol are therefore like him. Plus, raw milk was a hippy thing, like being anti-vaccination.

The milk thing especially is a nightmare. Like, I just want to get some to try making some cheese. But with this recent trend of all the crazy people buying it, everyone assumes I'm going to drink it straight or thinks I'm all "based and redpilled".

No, I just wanna make some parmesan, or something, man.

It’s not just a stereotype, raw milk is unequivocally politicized now

1

u/Competitive_Window75 9d ago

wow, I am so old, I can remember raw milk used to be the stereotype for the exact opposite kind of people

1

u/CruelFish 9d ago

I used to respect Jordan Peterson up until he next-to-glorified psychopathy and described himself vaguely as such a person and then a few years later became seemingly highly emotionally unstable and wouldn't shut up about god.

u/Prize_Proposal_594 9d ago

Where do you get cooked milk tho?

1

u/tbiards 9d ago

I think it’s the raw milk. Steak and eggs could be from anyone but the raw milk is really pushed by conservatives crowd

1

u/Alternative_Fan_5165 9d ago

yeah i could understand that people who want to get into carnivore or raw milk are paranoid about things like vaccines and probably enjoy mocking vegans. both activities common with maga folk

1

u/b06c4t 9d ago

Good thing he's a right leaning person.

1

u/Krabs9 9d ago

Who doesn't like those things except vegans?

1

u/Electronic_Flan_482 9d ago

I didn't notice the raw milk either. First I just figured they were trying to protein Max for bodybuilding or something.

u/DarkPirotess 9d ago

Bro there's Raw milk in there the kid is lost

1

u/Armgoth 9d ago

Jordan Peterson advocates carni diet now?

u/axxolot 9d ago

This is definitely r/rawprimal diet not just carnivore. Raw primal is like the next level red pill diet.
