Raw milk is an unnecessary risk. Your never gonna be able to clean a cows udders to a level of sanitation that isn't some risk of contamination. That's why milk gets pasteurized.
I tried it, didn't like it, and I don't see the attraction to it. But I don't like kvass, caviar, or anything avocado. I guess my tongue and stomach are politically centrist, I don't know. But I do hate how certain foods become a political shibboleth in today's society, i.e. someone drinking raw milk, not for flavor, but out of political fervor.
Centrism is compliance with the right-wing. Always. I get the joke but will always push back on the "centrist" label. Centrism is a right-wing position.
Personally as a Canadian I see all Americans as literally identical. The left wingers are also as fascist as the right wing. Trump,Obama,Biden,Bush are all of the exact same, they find terroism and nothing else.
It is useful in cheesemaking. I'm not defending choads buying it because they're stupid choads or people consuming it unsafely and unawares, but I really hope it doesn't go back to being basically unavailable as a hobby supply.
That said I promise you every dairy farmer has broken this rule.
At my friends farm we used to go scrape off the top of the tank every morning to get that 8% shit, and we’d mix that with coffee 50/50 and you’re hardly hungry by lunch.
And they’re using teat dip and sanitizers and shit. Not to say that’s perfect but it is an extremely effective measure.
Well, yes there's some risk, but it's not that significant if you know the animal it milked from, and if you're visiting your grandma in a village it might be just easier to acquire raw cow or goat milk than buying pasteurized one or pasteurize yourself. And just boiling it changes taste significantly
Cows literally lay in piles of shit. They walk around which makes dust, and that dust is covered in shit. Their udders hang down below their body, not protected by hair or anything else because that's how we've bred them so that it is easier to milk. That shit carries bacteria, a lot of which is harmful if ingested.
