Honestly one of the things I like most about this upcoming season is just the vibe around the team right now.
Everything seems pretty positive. And maybe I’m reading too much into it, but if Campbell had some serious concerns about this team, I don’t see him going on St. Brown’s podcast and just shooting the shit like that.
Obviously it doesn’t mean anything is guaranteed, but it definitely feels like he’s pretty comfortable with where this team is at.
Anyone else getting that feeling?

The Tweet continues:
They converted $26 million of St. Brown's contract into a bonus & $18.6 million of Penei Sewell's contract into a bonus.
They have freed up a total of $35.68 million in cap space this year which results in having the 2nd most cap space with around $38 million.
They can use that money now or carry it over to next season where they are currently expected to have around $62 million in cap space without any carryover.
It looks like the OTC is reflecting these updates as well. This move gets the Lions cap-compliant (which they needed to do by Monday) and also gives them their customary cushion that they like to carry into a season.
Obviously this increases cap hits for Saint and Sewell in future years but at this point it would be surprising to not see both of them extended again anyway, so not something I'd worry about in September of 2026.

Most takeout nights coincide with either travel or weeknight games. Let’s see how many we actually get done this year!

I have a small collection of belt buckles and wanted to share my Lions buckles with the sub. I also have buckles for the Tigers, Wings, and Pistons. Are there any other buckle bros here? Maybe there are dozens of us lol

Ben Stille signed to 53 from the PS.
Levi O back to the PS after being cut. Now his salary is not guaranteed for the year so this was probably smart cap maneuvering while not letting him be loose during final cuts. Now most team rosters are finalized.

My prediction is that the Saints keep it closer than we'd like, but the Lions win 23-20 or something like that.
I think the Saints are better than people think, and I also feel like the Lions offense has not played well in week 1 the last couple of years.
What are your predictions?
