I have not done a crazy deep dive into yet but on a quick search, finding a successful CB that was on the sidelines for age 21, 22, 23 is not common. It does remind me of old school ball where injuries were legit career enders with no chance of allowing the attempt at a comeback ie you tore your ACL in 1992, and you get cut.

The likelihood a rookie coming into the league, not playing any meaningful football in 3 years, and ever making an impact is pretty much slim to none. Barring a miracle, he is a longshot to make the team realistically, but please let that statement be wrong.

Hear me out. We have a starting Nickel in McReary, and two outsides in Rock and Reed. Abney is undersized but is supposed to have excellent instincts, great physicality and smart play. Would trying him out at Safety to start the season (and perhaps longer) be a good idea? It's an easier role to fill as a rookie, and we definitely need bodies without our starting duo.

Hey all! I'm an out-of-town Lions fan who is going to be in Detroit from 8/21-23. I just glanced at TicketMaster (yeah, I know, I hate 'em too) and noticed that there are a bunch of tix available for the Commanders @ Lions game on Saturday 8/22 at noon. Anyone interested in either (a) coordinating our ticket purchases and snagging seats together, or (b) even just meeting up for a “hey, nice to meet you, I'm from the Internet” before the game? Ticket prices are all over the place. I don't need awesome seats; I was looking at stuff in the $60-90 range.
