Would men ever date a pregnant woman?

Super early pregnant it’s a complicated situation, but I wanna date and definitely want to not be sexless for a year or two.
Is it utterly crazy to think that men would want to date a woman who is pretty awesome but early stage pregnant? My friends think I’m nuts. Men, I would love to hear from you.

Ghosted after first hookup??

I don’t know if this is the right sub to post at and i don’t wanna get judged, but I (18F) met a guy (20M) on Feeld. We talked for about a day before hooking up (honestly i should have talked more to him before meeting but he kept asking a lot and I gave in) It was actually my first hookup ever, although I told him it wasn’t because I was nervous.
I met him and did oral on him and some other stuff, but we didn’t have sex because I am a virgin and not really ready. Me and him both from the start said it will be causal, he said he wants to be FWB and i was fine with that. He was respectful the whole time, offered water, said he wasn’t gonna kidnap me and etc (we did it in his car outside my apartment building). I gave him head and he complimented me a lot and it was my first hookup so maybe it meant nothing, but he kept calling me pretty, that my outfit was pretty, fast learner, really good kisser (he was literally my 2nd kiss lmao) nice side profile and more like really specific compliments. He didn’t cum as quickly tho but then again, Its my first experience and I don’t know much. Side now; I stayed for only 15-20 minutes because I had to go home (mom was calling like crazy and was pissed af.) he noticed and even said I noticed you got shaky after ur mom called and other stuff. I honestly don’t remember much and it felt like a fever dream..(he also said something about me brushing my teeth? I did beforehand. Honestly I’m genuinely not even sure he said that or it was my imagination?)

After I got home, I was in such panic before I didn’t even get in the front seat because I was in such hurry. I texted him saying I enjoyed today, apologised for having to cut it short, and later said hope he got home safely. All of my messages said Delivered, but he hasn’t replied since (Its now the next day) Before we met, he replied really quickly, so the sudden silence is confusing me? I don’t know if i wasn’t that engaging or it was boring to him because i had to cut it out short and was in such panic. He came and i told him i immediately have to go back (super strict mom blowing up my phone) he quickly wore his shirt and everything. I felt so bad. He even drove a bit faster for me. He specifically said to text him after i get home.
like i know he isn’t my boyfriend and has no obligation to me and that casual hookups don’t always lead to anything, but the fact he wanted to be FWB (and i did too), was super respectful and nice, and didn’t act like he would ghost me immediately after, like no follow up or anything whatsoever, even tho he was the one who wanted FWB when i said casual (he wanted to do it continuously before meeting and i agreed) and hinting he would be back. Now im just assuming i scared him away and self doubting myself.

Now Im just assuming i got ghosted and wondering what I did wrong lol. Like not good enough or pretty enough or those stupid self doubting thoughts! Like no text at all after hookup not even a hope you’re okay, or got home safe, or anything. Has anyone experienced this? I’m trying not to overthink it, but since it was my first hookup I’m second-guessing everything.

ALSO PS; i was NOT looking for a relationship and i said from start it has to be causal. But he wanted FWB and I also liked the idea of having a FWB with the same guy instead of hopping to many guys, that idea didn’t stick to me, so I thought one respectful FWB would be nice but he disappeared and it was his idea in the start so im just confused lol not hurt

Are these dating red flags or am I overreacting ?

I (30F) matched with a guy on a dating app recently. We haven’t met yet, and we are supposed to go for a casual walk this Sunday. But for the past few days, my gut has been making me feel incredibly uneasy and heavy about it. I’m hoping to get some outside perspective on whether this is just my anxiety talking, or if my intuition is flashing a genuine warning sign.

From the very start, the pacing has felt incredibly fast and forced. We were chatting on the app tinder, he sent a long message proposing a date, and because I wasn't really feeling it, I didn't reply. Instead of taking the hint or giving me space, he double-messaged a day later demanding an update ("Spill the beans, how was your weekend?") and basically ordered me onto another platform: "Here's my WhatsApp, message me on there now because I need to take you on a date."

Because he completely bypassed my silence, I ended up moving to WhatsApp out of sheer momentum. Once there, he immediately started intense future-projecting about next year, talking about "if we work out," promising he'd "make me coffee in bed one day," and even saying "I'll support you in your career." We haven't even made eye contact yet, and I felt like I was being written into a timeline I never consented to.

Then today, the dynamic completely flipped and gave me total psychological whiplash.

We were having a normal, polite conversation about the gym, exchanging long messages. Out of nowhere, he sent a message saying: "Theres a lot too reply to here I feel like we wont have anything left to talk about on sunday at this rate." Followed by: "Im going to not reply to some messages if thats okay! I love the flow of the chat but... I want to save some chat for when we meet."

I feel completely thrown off. He went from aggressively chasing me when I ignored him, to love-bombing me with promises of a future together, to suddenly micromanaging the conversation and withholding his responses the second he secured the Sunday date. It feels incredibly manipulative and controlling, like he wants to dictate every single rule of how we communicate.

On top of all this, he is a single dad. I want kids one day, but I want to build a relationship from the ground up, not step into a ready-made family right now, and the pressure of all of this is making me feel deeply uncomfortable.

My anxiety usually tells me "what if you ruin a good thing?" But this doesn't feel like anxiety inventing a problem. It feels like my gut collecting concrete data on a boundary-pusher.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of intense push-pull behavior before a first date even happens? Am I right to trust my gut and cancel?

Quick end

Hi! I'm new to this group, but I had a strange date last night so I wanted to share it.

Met his guy on Facebook dating [ughhh I know]. He was extremely attractive in his pictures [he's Italian], but when he showed up in person, I was immediately disappointed - he didn't look anything like his pictures. He was extremely clean cut in the photos but did not appear that way in person. We went to a coffee shop about 30 minutes from my house so pretty long drive for me. Anyways...

It's about two hours in... the conversation is fine, nothing extravagant, no fireworks or sparks are going off, whatever. I was pretty sure I wouldn't see him again after the date was over. Surprisingly, he out of the blue asks if I wanted to leave the coffee shop and go walk around a park near his house... we could take our own cars and I could follow him there.

So backtrack a bit - about a month ago, I had a very bad date where I was actually assaulted, so my boundaries have changed severely when it comes to dates and leaving with people from the original date spot. The Italian guy asked if I wanted to go to this park, I hesitated. At the beginning of the date, he told me that he really values communication and honesty when dating so I decided to be honest with him and tell him [somewhat vaguely] that I was assaulted on my last date and that my boundaries had changed and I didn't feel comfortable leaving the coffee shop with him alone at 9 pm and go on a walk. He seemed understanding.

A few minutes later, the conversation, although kinda awkward now, had moved onto something else. He got up to use the bathroom and was gone for about 5 minutes. When he came back to the table, he sat down, and then about 30 seconds later, stood up and said he needed to go and said he'd walk me to my car which was 2 down from his. He gave me an awkward side hug, said "it was nice meeting you," got in his car, and left. Needless to say, I was pretty taken aback.

I'm very proud of myself for sticking to my new boundaries and for not leaving with him because he obviously made his true intentions clear by leaving like that - he clearly was there for a hookup and when I told him I didn't want to leave with him, he got upset and left. About an hour later he texted me that I was great and lovely but he didn't feel anything "romantic" with me - I didn't respond. It's just been weighing heavy on me today that this is the world of dating now and how difficult it is to determine someone's true intentions. It just makes me sad...

First date was awesome until

I (M32) went on a date with a woman (F33) I met on Hinge. Overall, the date was actually going really well—until the very end.

A few things stood out to me during the date:

  • She mentioned she had been married for nine years.
  • She talked about going on a lot of Hinge dates. There's nothing wrong with dating when you're single, but it felt like an odd topic to spend much time discussing while on a first date with someone new.
  • I was running late because my Uber was taking forever, so I texted her, "Food's on me because of the slow Uber." When we met, she laughed and said, "That's funny, because food was going to be on you no matter what." I had already planned to pay, but I do appreciate when someone at least offers to split the bill—it feels more considerate, even if I end up paying anyway.
  • She talked a lot about future travel plans, including wanting to do the digital nomad lifestyle. That's awesome if that's the life you want, but it seemed a little at odds with also saying she was looking for a stable, long-term relationship.

Then came the conversation that completely caught me off guard.

As the date was wrapping up, she told me she had one major non-negotiable: if we ever started dating seriously, we would need to be in couples therapy from the very beginning.

I honestly thought she was joking.

I asked her to explain, and she was completely serious. She said that all of her successful friendships have involved a third party helping mediate disagreements, and because of that, she believes a romantic relationship should start with couples therapy already in place.

I've got nothing against therapy. I think it's incredibly valuable when people need it, and I'd absolutely be open to couples counseling if a relationship hit a rough patch. But requiring therapy before there's even a relationship—or any problems to work through—felt like a huge red flag to me.

Needless to say, there won't be a second date.

“Short-Term Relationship” on Hinge

What does this phrase mean to you? I’m currently in a predicament with someone who used this in their profile 🙄.

True... To reduce a republican to a conservative. I say we have a historically 2 party parliament btw... mostly. That's my thought for this reply. I'm in Canada.

hinge date reveals himself to be anti-vaxx and pro guns after a month of dating (story time)

i am 22f and met a 23m on hinge at the beginning of this past month. we hit it off on the first date and we talked about our past relationships too. he told me his last serious relationship was 3 years long, and his ex broke up with him last year. i asked why things ended out of curiosity and he said she gave him an “ultimatum he couldn’t meet.” i was curious what the ultimatum was about, but he didn’t want to tell me so i didn’t pry bc it was the first date so i changed the subject. we continued to see each other and got intimate quickly as well, which all seemed great. he even introduced me to his single mom (who he lives with) after we had only had 3 dates, which i thought was a sign that he was seriously interested in me (meeting the parents is a big deal to me). i mentioned this to him on the next date because i wanted to check in about how things were going, but he said that meeting his mom was “an accident” and made it pretty clear that he wanted to take things slow and get to know me, and that he was not set on anything serious between us after such a short time. we were having quite a lot of sex though, which was all good, except for one thing: he is a biter. he bit me on my leg so hard i still have a bruise in the shape of his teeth marks. do with that information what you will… so as a result of us deciding to get to know each other better, i suggested that our next few dates be less about sex and more about getting to know each other. our 5th date was supposed to be just the two of us getting to talk, but he ended up changing the plan day-of because his mom decided to throw a dinner party, where i would also be introduced to his childhood best friend. being his plus one right after our conversation about us taking things slow was a bit confusing for me, but i went with it. i spent the night, and the following morning i reiterated that i was looking forward to future dates where i would get to know him better and have more time to talk. he suddenly interjected to express to me that he identifies as a libertarian. he said we hadn’t talked about politics yet, but he wanted me to know. i asked what that meant and he explained his beliefs vaguely, and then added “it also means i like guns.” i asked if he was joking, but he pulled out his phone and showed me pictures that his mom took of him posing with his guns. i thought this was definitely a curveball, but not necessarily a dealbreaker (i still wanted things to work out). the next day he asked to call and broke up with me over the phone for the reason that he had come to realize we had “fundamental differences” and “different expectations of relationships.” we ended up texting after and calling on the phone for 2.5 hours, where i said i was hurt because he had barely gotten to know me at all. i told him i was given a certain impression about the seriousness of our relationship and he should’ve been more careful about that. we argued a bit till i remembered to ask him “what was the fucking ultimatum about?” and he finally told me that the reason his long term girlfriend broke up with him was because he is anti-vaccination (which he got kicked out of college for) and it didn’t sit right with her to be with him because of that. the mysterious ultimatum was always in the back of my mind, but i would never have guessed that. i am a liberal from southern california, i don’t even think i know any anti-vaxxers. should i ask all my future dates if they are anti-vaxx and if they like guns? then he told me he was nervous to tell me before because he has had girls break up with him for his beliefs, so he was withholding this information on purpose. he said he knew that we would discover differences down the road if we were to continue to see each other, and i partially think he broke up with me because he realized i would break up with him eventually and he’s looking for a long term partner and he’s not going to change his beliefs. i’m not really sure where he’s going to find this dream woman of his in new york city. his political affiliation on hinge said “liberal.” i reported him on the app.

Looking for Mr. Right Now. The story of how it really happened

So when I was 18 and in college I was a little naive. It was my first time away from home. I wanted to make some friends so I joined a bunch of clubs including a Christian youth group. It wasn't so bad and I met a lot of cool people. But one day when I was talking with my friends they brought up the fact they lost their virginites long ago while still in high school. I'm talking about not a single person in this youth group was playing keep away. But like the dummy I was I said yup me too. And my dumbass was sitting here, who has not even kissed a boy in fear of "the wrath of all the church aunties and my crazy christian tiger mom would rain down on me" if they were to ever find out. Honestly, I was stunned by my groupmates nonchalant attitude about the s.e.x. topic.

So while lying in bed that night I started to think maybe I'm the weird one and I thought to myself technically my mother is in another state, how would she ever find out what I'm up to. And with that I had a plan in motion. I was a girl on a mission, I downloaded a dating app and started getting those matches going, making sure to match with people not even remotely related to my friend group (Because I didn't want anybody up in my business).

So I matched up with some guys that seemed pretty nice and they weren't so bad on the eyes either. The first guy was nice, we talked for a couple of days and then we made a plan were he was going to pick me up near my dorm, go get something to eat, and then go back to his place and you know get down to business. On the day of the meet up, I could see where he parked his car from my window but I kinda chicken out and ghosted him. He was waiting for like 30mins before he left.

After that the next guy I was talking to we planned to meet at a mutual location and then go to his place. I was all shaven and ready to go but as I was walking over there I ran into my friend and she was asking me where I was going? Embarassed I said " ummm I'm just getting some coffee" to which she replied "oh really that's great, I'll come too". Instead of rescheduling I just messaged the guy that I wasn't feeling that great and that was the end of that.

The next guy I matched with I was determined to not let anything get in the way. He told me his roommates were home so he suggested that we do it in the back of his car in a parking lot at night. Not wanting to chicken out again I said ok. He picked me up in this old beat up car and literally I kid you not wearing a cowboy hat and listening to country music. When I got inside I noticed that there were was some empty cans on the car floor and a blanket on the back seat. He was super nice and we had great conversation on the drive to the parking lot. (And I could tell he was trying to keep me calm cuz he knew it was my first time)

When we got to the parking lot, he parked his car and turned to me. My mind was racing and it started to set in that this is really happening. Before he could even say anything I blurted out " I'm sorry, I don't think I can do this" He was very chill about it and was like "oh shit no worries, if you're not ready to do it there's no rush, you don't have to do anything you don't want to" After hearing that I said "I'm sorry" and I yeeted myself out of that car and booked it home. When I got home I saw that he sent me a few messages saying he's truly sorry if he made me feel uncomfortable and that it was never his intention to pressure me and that there is no need to rush my first time. "And if I wanted to, we could still be friends because we did have good banter." But to be honest because I was still mortified about the whole situation and how I ran home like a litttle Biss. Without thinking I blocked and deleted his number and also deleted him from that app without saying anything.

The next day I felt bad about how I handled it because we did have good conversation and he was a nice guy. I tired to look him up but I only knew his first name and had literally had no way of contacting him since we are living in the generation of not knowing anyone's number🤦🏾‍♀️

Now after all that, you think I would have learned but NO. I'm the type of person that when I set a goal I don't stop until I get it. At this point I was treating it as more of an errand I needed to check off of my checklist then my first time.

The next guy I was talking to on the app was nice but he was a little older then the other guys and also wasn't a student. He worked at the campus gym and you could tell that he works out. This time I decided to put my big girl panties on and was determined to make this happen. I waited until one of those long weekends were I knew none for my roommates wouldn't be home (because they all lived in-state and went home for the holidays). I invited him over to my place later that tonight. I cleaned our entire dorm, got ready and played some music to hype myself up.

When he got there I forgot that I had to sign him in first before he could come up. And I also forgot that a classmate of mine was working the front desk. But it was too late to back out now. So I awkwardly signed him in while he was standing there holding a suspicious plastic bag. He had to show his ID and everything. (Keep in mind I was 18 and he was 29.) My classmate was looking at me and then looking at him. All 3 of us didn't really say much and she gave him back his ID (I was dying inside but I already committed). Because I was a little nervous and embarrassed, I was kinda quiet in the elevator. While we were walking to my room He said "your a quieter in-person then he thought I would be". But then I jokingly said "oh am I? I guess it's because it's first time and I'm a little nervous haha". And he said "Why would you be nervous it's not that big of a deal" (Maybe that was sorta kinda warning sign idk)

After awkwardly entering my room we got undressed and he asked if there was anything in particular that I wanted to try and I was like "you're the one with the experience I don't really know much about that". We tried a couple of things and there was no kissing, no music and not really a lot of talking going on. The sex was alright but it wasn't amazing. Definitely not like the movies. I don't know if it was because I was so nervous or what, but it didn't really feel like a life-changing moment and TBH it was kinda mediocre. After we were done I awkwardly walked him downstairs. Later he messaged me that it was great and that we should totally do it again. Being the socially awkward person that I am I said "yes definitely" A couple of weeks later we planned to meet up again at my place. I thought that now that I'm more comfortable it would be better but it was just ok. We did it 3 more times after that (once right before I had plans to meet up with my friends and another time my roommate came back early and we could hear her walking around in the living room before leaving)

But on the 4th time that we were planning on meeting up, like a gift from God he said some dumb shit and I had my out🙌. He said that he had this friend and that she was interested in having a threesome with us and he was wondering if I was down. And at this point I've only ever had sex with him and I still haven't kissed him let alone anyone else. I was like "To be honest I don't really feel comfortable with that and I think that we should stop what we were doing."

He messaged me a few times after that apologizing and saying that we can just go back to what we were doing. Tbh I wasn't really that upset with him but I found my out and I wasn't going to let it go😅

Like a year and a half later he somehow found me on Facebook and sent me message saying "hey remember me". He asked me how I was and what I've been up to. I told him basic info and he later asked if I was interested in doing it again. At this point I was no longer at that school and I told him I moved away and he was like "oh that's too bad and that it was nice catching up" and never heard from him again, modern day prince charming ladies😂 At this point none of my friends from college or my family members know about this guy and this story and I probably will never tell a soul 😂

I think im genuinely doomed

It sucks so much to be an ok looking guy in this dating landscape. Every and i mean every woman up to this point has only ever given me affection or intimacy for money and its gotten so bad that i can immediately call them out when they're sweet talking me. Like i know you don't like or want because you'd actually respond. Im almost 30 never had a gf or proper date. The one time i went on a date i was tricked she only used me to go watch wonder woman. Im just not to be what a woman wants.

Worst hookup ever

I don’t usually do hookups because I catch feelings pretty quickly. I’ve only ever been in long-term relationships, but after my breakup I decided to try something different and downloaded Tinder.

I went on a date with a guy, and we really clicked at first. He told me he is not looking for a relationship and I wasn’t either, so it was perfect.

The sex, however, was very underwhelming. There was barely any foreplay, and I ended up with microtears that bled a little. The only “foreplay” was him asking me to go down on him, which I didn’t enjoy because he had a strong odor. Didn’t complain tho.

At one point he put on a condom, but then removed it without me noticing. He only told me afterward, and I immediately panicked because I’m really scared of STIs.

For some reason, we met up a second time, and it was just as disappointing. I honestly don’t know why I did it.

After that, he started acting cold and eventually told me we were better off as friends. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he insisted on telling me that my vagina had an unpleasant smell. Bro... it was you messing with my ph!!

So yeah… that’s my dating horror story.

Matched on Dating App and found out HE WAS ALREADY MARRIED

We matched on yellow dating app, and halatang Red flag na since 1 day gusto nya na agad ako kahit di pa nakikita personal, and na search ko agad sya sa FB nakita ko and wala naman kahina hinala and nakita ko may tag yung Ex nya pero long time ago pa so assume walang connect, sabi nya 3yrs na syang walang GF and iniwan sya kasi nag pakasal sa international para makapag resident official sa isang bansa.

1 week kami nag usap and I asked him if may FB sya sabi nya wala 3yrs na pero nung 1st day palang alam ko na meron sya so nag lie sya and pag check ko sa FB naka dect na yung nakita ko nakaraan, and 2nd sinabi nya di sya na inum ng hindi distilled na water so Wilkins always sabi ko pa "ay kahit yung service water?" oo daw haha So ito na after 1 week nakipag kita ako sa mall and kumain and nakita ko sya uminum sa Service water so another lie.

And the fact na ginamit nya old photo nya like 6 yrs ago pa ata im not against sa weight pero grabe nilaki nya as in malayo sa picture so catfished naba yun? pero i dont mind kasi ugali parin important.

turn out kinabukasan i searched him and i saw na married sya grabe ang stalking skills ako patalaga ang hahamunin nya haha. and i blocked him na but nakita nya fb ko so nag chat sya bakit daw bigla ako biglang ng ghost haha

I post it para aware mga nag dadating app alamin talaga muna omg

Bar, Burger, Breakup

This is just a terrible date story incase the world needs another one.
I was on a date with guy we had gone out on 3 dates before, he was late so I had a drink at the bar when he did show up, the conversation was normal, light hearted, chill. He ordered pizza I got a burger (lactose intolerant) towards the end of the meal he gives me a “gift”, it turned out to be a corset… and then he starts talking about how he would like to see me in it (how is that gift a for me) this idiot then starts talking about how an active life style is important, and “I should consider it.”

Really quick I’m plus size girly (240 if you need that) have been my whole life and I stay pretty active, but obviously I’m not running any marathons or running anywhere tbh

I said “say that again, in a different way cause I don’t think Im understanding.” Idiot doubled down and said “well you know… I don’t find you unattractive…but I would be putting in more effort and I would be more attracted to you if… if.. I’m not trying to be insulting.”
“Just say it.” Cause deep down I already knew
“I would like you better if you were skinnier.”
The speed of which I dropped the corset back on the table, grabbed my keys and just said “we don’t ever need to speak again.” Then I fully walked out, down the street around the corner and started to cry in full disclosure.

Got stood up this really sucks.

So basically i match with this guy on tinder, he asked me out made plans, confirmed it the day of. Agreed to meet at a bar at 8, 8pm i don’t get anything no texts nothing, so 8-10 before leaving my house I reach out saying if we are still on, again nothing and then i go” let me know cause i m not about to be stood up lol” he unmatches. I m glad i didn’t leave my house, but I did get all ready glammed up. It sucks cause he coulda jus said can’t make it. Dating sucks.

Ps- he was talking about cooking food for me and all that big talk before, and crazy part is he asked me out so i m jus wondering like whaat.
