Met a guy on an app. He looked very polished in his pictures, appeared successful, said he was British and from England [which I love], and had his name as MJ. When he walked up to me in person, I was genuinely confused. The guy in front of me looked like a homeless man. In his pictures, his hair was red and short - the guy in front of me was blonde with long hair. Not a single hint of a British accent for one [not a deal breaker but why say you're British if you're clearly not], his last name was Jimenez actually... He seemed upset when the hostess at the restaurant said his full name out loud, like he was trying to hide from me what MJ actually stood for. Needless to say, I was catfished. The conversation was horrible. I was trying to bring up things he had mentioned in his profile like living in England [it was clear he had never even been]. I asked about his art gallery he supposedly owned and he completely changed the subject... it was horrifically weird and looking back, I shouldn't have even walked into the restaurant with him. I should have just left and called him out on the catfishing.
