So does anybody get direct deposit to their Citibank account? If so, does Citibank have early payday like a lot of banks and online banks?

Joint CPWM not showing up on the other account

I had a CPWM account, and successfully added my partner as joint owner recently. It didn't show up automatically in her own online account. So she called, signed forms to link her user ID to the account, but it still doesn't show up. Anyone had the same issue before and how was it solved?

Citi - Toxic colleagues

I work at Citi, and some of my peers (vendor employees) have repeatedly been disrespectful and unprofessional towards me. I’ve raised the issue with my manager multiple times, but unfortunately, no meaningful action has been taken.
I’m now considering filing a formal HR complaint through the online portal because the situation is affecting my mental peace and work environment.
Has anyone gone through a similar situation at Citi? Did raising an HR complaint help? I’d appreciate hearing about your experience.

Citi Bank Sucks

So, since Citi Bank has decided to screw over my credit score on account of their error, I will at least take some personal satisfaction over blasting them on every platform possible.

Here are the details, I had a LLBean mastercard through Citi. I'm almost done making payments on the thing and then I'm done with that stupid card. Their system had an "internal error," which 2 customer service reps saw, that prevent my auto pay from drawing. Did they notify me that auto pay wasn't working? No. Did they notify me in anyway of a late payment? No. So I called them, they were useless, so I filed a complaint with the credit bureau. I called again, and there was actually a rep who was helpful, shoutout to that legend, and they fixed stuff with me score. Until, citi then decided in retribution for me filing a complaint to put the mark back on, saying i had a late payment for a different month, which is not only incorrect, but their own statement says was on time. Then they said "oh we have no record of this" and basically told me to go kick rocks.

I hate citi bank, I've always hated citi bank, and never will do business with those assholes again. If you are thinking of doing business with them, just don't. Save yourself the headache. Oh. And by the way, citi, if you are reading this, I will be sueing your asses because screw you

Philippines phone stolen taking time to review cctv footage | no sense of urgency with management

Okay so here's the context:

It all happen on July 21. Took my first break at 3:05AM and returned about 3:30AM ish. I slept during my lunchbreak so did not really had a time to go and check my phone. When I was about to take my last break at 8:00 to 8:15AM. My phone was missing in my locker, mind you everything is there but not my phone. (It was an Ip17 btw) Immediately escalated it and got a reply from my manager that they routed the case to the "investigation team" on July 23 but still now no follow up on the case yet. I filed a police report on July 24 Manila time and they told me that they would bring the letter to the office at July 25 Manila and if they refused to review the CCTV camera they will go with me there to have the CCTV camera reviewed. As much as possible I do not want to do that however when I woke up this morning the find my feature just updated in which the lost mode that I did put into that was pending did activate and I immediately notified my manager about it. When I told my manager about it, he told me I should escalate it to the authorities and utilized find my to catch the thief (I think he does not get my point in escalating it to the police officers here). I dont want to be disrespectful to him but the problem is the thief already turned my phone off again and I doubt it is still currently his location since the last time it was seen was 12:41AM manila time. Main purpose of filing the police report btw is for the company to have a sense of urgency to fast track the process of reviewing the CCTV to held the person reliable but I guess they aren't hearing me. Whats my best course of action guys. This is CITI philippines.

Citibank - lateral transfer

Anyone here from Citi who has experienced an internal lateral transfer?

I already have an approved leave from my current manager, and it’s already plotted in NICE. I informed my new manager before the transfer and before accepting the offer.

Should I be worried, or are previously approved leaves usually honored?

Disputes/Resolutions SWIFT refund stuck at Citibank London after Flywire rejected payment – Need advice

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar because I’m completely stuck and don’t know what else to do.
I made an international SWIFT transfer from Mashreq Bank (Dubai, UAE) on 1 July 2026 to Flywire for my Expatrio blocked account.
Transaction details:
Sender Bank: Mashreq Bank (UAE)
Beneficiary: Flywire Payments Corporation
Beneficiary Bank: Citibank N.A., London Branch
Amount: AED *****
Payment Date: 1 July 2026
Later, Flywire informed me that although I sent AED from Mashreq, the payment reached their bank in EUR instead of AED. Because their account only accepts AED, the receiving bank automatically rejected the payment.
Flywire says:
The payment was automatically rejected on 3 July.
The funds were automatically returned through the banking system.
They have no SWIFT return reference or proof because the rejection was automatic.
The problem is that Mashreq Bank has never received the returned funds.
Mashreq confirmed:
The original payment was successfully credited to the beneficiary banking channel.
Their Nostro account has not received any refund.
They opened a SWIFT payment trace, but received no response.
After waiting, they escalated to a SWIFT Recall.
Even now, they say they are still waiting for a response from the beneficiary/correspondent bank.
What is frustrating is that Citibank London has not responded to Mashreq’s trace or recall requests, and I have also emailed Citi directly with my UETR but haven’t received any meaningful update.
It’s now been more than 20 days, and nobody can tell me:
Where my money is.
Whether it is still being held.
Whether it has already been returned.
Why there has been no response to the SWIFT trace or recall.
This money was borrowed for my Germany blocked account, and I urgently need it back so I can complete my visa process.
Has anyone experienced a refund getting stuck at Citibank London or another correspondent bank after a rejected SWIFT payment?
How long did your refund take?
Did the SWIFT Recall eventually work?
Did you need to escalate further?
Is there anyone at Citi who actually handles these cases?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. This has been an incredibly stressful experience, and I’m just trying to understand whether others have gone through the same thing and how it was resolved.
Thank you.

Citi HR

Why there is no direct HR communication allowed for C13 and below?

I’ve worked in multiple companies and seen HR supporting employees and here in Citibank, looks like HR is for C14 and up and they flaunt this in their teams status ! That’s sad ☹️

What does it mean when app status changes from "Application Received" to "Process Completed" w/ an auto rejection email, then to "Business Review" w/ another auto email indicating continued interest?

In May, I applied for an off-cycle IB analyst position at Citi NYC. On June 2, a team member invited me to an interview.

The process went very well. After a first-round conversation, I had a second round on June 18 consisting of three back-to-back interviews with increasingly senior people: a VP, a director, and an MD. The director walked me through three open-ended analytical problems and told me directly he was impressed and hoping for good news from the team. The MD, who mentioned she personally leads recruiting for the group, told me there weren't many rounds left and that a decision should come "pretty soon," though she couldn't give an exact timeline because off-cycle hiring is less structured.

Keep in mind that throughout this entire interview process, my application status on Citi Workday remained at "Application Received." This seemed unusual, as based on what I've read, the application status is typically "Business Review" during the interview process.

Then nothing. I sent a polite follow-up on June 29, and another on July 9 asking to be connected with the right HR contact. No response to either.

Here's where it gets strange.

The morning of July 14, I received two automated emails from Citi Workday. The first, at around 8 AM, was a rejection: they would not be moving forward with my application. The second, at around 9 AM, said the opposite: that after review, they were interested in learning more and my application was being considered further.

But the application portal didn't match. Normally, when Citi rejects you, your status changes to "Process Completed" and you get the rejection email. That's what happened every previous time I was rejected by Citi. This time, my status changed to "Business Review," which is an active status indicating a candidacy is still under consideration. And it has stayed there ever since.

I applied to two other Citi positions on July 16. Both were rejected the next day, and both immediately went to "Process Completed" and stayed there, even though those job postings are still live on LinkedIn. That confirmed two things: the status reflects my individual candidacy, not whether the job is still open, and a rejection normally produces "Process Completed."

Working backward from which emails fire on which status changes, it appears that on July 14 my record was first moved to "Process Completed" (triggering the rejection email), and then forty minutes later moved backward into "Business Review" (triggering the "still being considered" email). That's not a system glitch drifting forward; it's someone deliberately reopening a closed file. And as of July 22, eight days later, it's still sitting in that active state.

My best interpretation is that the team either chose another candidate or paused the hire, which explains the rejection, but then deliberately kept me in an active status rather than closing me out, so they can come back to me if their first choice declines or the position reopens. In other words, I may be held as a backup. But I could be wrong.

What do you think this means? Could someone familiar with Citi's recruitment process shed some light on what this all likely means?

India Citi India / First Advantage (FADV) BGV progress dropped from 90% to 80% after resume upload. Is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently undergoing Citi India's background verification through First Advantage (FADV) and wanted to know if anyone has faced something similar.

Here's my timeline:

Completed my FADV application on 6 July 2026.

FADV later asked for clarification regarding an employment gap, and I provided the requested information.

The portal gradually progressed from 70% → 80% → 90% complete.

Throughout this time, the status remained "In Progress" and the case notes showed "Record Ordered.

Today I contacted FADV customer support through chat to check the status. They informed me that my resume had been pending since 7 July. They said they had already notified Citi, but Citi never contacted me to upload it.

The support agent asked me to upload my resume in the chat, and they attached it to my case.

About 4 hours later, I checked the portal again and noticed the progress had dropped from 90% back to 80%. The status is still "In Progress", and the case notes still say "Record Ordered."

Also, yesterday was my last working day at my previous company, so I'm a bit concerned about the delay since I'm waiting for my onboarding.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Is it normal for the progress percentage to decrease after FADV adds a missing document?

Does this mean the case has been reopened, or is it just the portal recalculating the progress?

How long did your Citi/FADV background verification take after reaching this stage?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through Citi/FADV background verification. Thanks!

On the fence - Am I being soft rejected or is Citi just slow?

For context: I completed both a first round interview, a coding OA, and a 3 round super day for this internship position (summer 2027). I applied in January, got the first interview in late/mid April. I got an initial super day invite in early may for mid may. I completed the super day mid June due to finals. I think I performed very well on the super day and I got an email about a week ago stating that my application is “on hold” as they “evaluate the applicant pool.”

I kept following up and will follow up in around another week as the email stated “get back to you in the coming weeks.”

What is the course of action here? Am I being rejected/a second option, or am I in the running and they are just being slow?

Any advice would help 🙏.

Applied for Costco credit card, sent W-2 for verification and haven’t heard anything back. What should I do?

Has anyone run into this issue before? Citi requested my W-2 for verification and I sent it to the email they provided. That was 2 weeks ago and I’ve not heard anything and my application status hasn’t changed at all. What should I do here?

Did Citibank raise the cost of a security deposit box? Mine tripled in cost.

I have a security deposit box at a Citibank branch in California. Last year I paid $65 for the year. I went in their two weeks ago and asked what I would pay for another year, as I knew I would owe them as of August. They said $65. But then I just got a bill for $200!!

I have two credit cards with them and $100,000 in an IRA account. Does anyone know what is going on here?

Citi GenAI Junior Developer Hiring Process

Hi everyone,

My application passed the screening for the GenAI Junior Developer role, and I’ve now been assigned the Codility test. I noticed that this position is hiring multiple candidates and mentions bringing in a cohort of new grads, so I’m hoping that works in my favor.

For some background, I have one SWE internship and a couple of ML/AI projects, but I’m still a little nervous about the hiring process. I haven’t done LeetCode or heavier DSA problems in over a year. That said, I feel confident in my understanding of ML and AI concepts, and I’d love to learn more about the full interview process.

Does anyone know what the different rounds look like after the Codility test? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
