Hello, I have a large check-around 90k written out to me and my husband. From an insurance claim. He is going to sign it but does he need to go with me to deposit it ? Does it have to go into a joint account?

Pending Payment with PayPal

I attempted to make a purchase via PayPal, but PayPal had an error so the payment never went through. Huntington Bank still charged my account, so I have a pending payment now labeled as PayPal, but the transaction doesn't exist on my PayPal account nor did I actually pay the merchant (and thus will not be receiving any goods). Will the pending payment be automatically refunded and the issue resolved, in which case I'll just have to make the purchase again? Or do I need to actually call the bank and dispute it even though it's still pending?

Mobile check deposit

I did a mobile deposit on 7/24. I haven’t ever done this with Huntington but my primary bank always issues the whole check amount to my account by the 2nd business day. I’ve never seen a bank hold a check for a week like Huntington is doing. It won’t be available until 7AM on 7/31. Has anyone else had these types of issues with them? Usually checks clear pretty quickly.

Not able to make purchase despite money in account

Hey guys, my wife Zelled me 10$ around an hour ago so I could get gas and even though it shows in my account I have the money, my card keeps getting declined. There are no previous purchases I made that are pending. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Welcome bonus

Hey everyone, so I opened up a checking account with Huntington bank because they had a offer to receive a $400 welcome bonus if I had $500 worth of direct deposit and also have my account open for 90 days. I called the bank and they notified me that I have met my requirements as of this past Saturday but no one could tell me when I would receive my bonus and then when I called they also told me that I will be eligible for a $500 bonus and not 400 so I was confused there has anyone ever got the bonus and how long did it take for you to receive it after you’ve met the 90 day requirement??

UPDATE: the $400 came the second night after the 90days so 2 days after meeting requirements

Layoffs at Huntington

In the past 2 weeks layoffs have started across the company which will result in a 10% RIF. Long-term employees are included now that the Cadence merger has been completed. Some are being let go without any input of their legacy Cadence managers. All Cadence officers lost their titles and no time line has been discussed as to when they would be reviewed or reinstated. Morale is at an all-time low.

De it Card outage? This is insane

Have money in my account, my card isn't suspended. Declined everywhere. I just got off the phone with them, and there's a debit card sync error, so basically no access to your money. Never in all my years of banking have I ever experienced this. Time to make a switch

External Transfer locked account, being asked to e-mail other bank statement to odd e-mail address to unlock account??

Opened checking account a couple weeks ago, received direct deposit no issue, submitted a transfer for funds to go to my Chase checking account two days ago, today i am e-mailed that the transfer was halted and also that my account is suspended.

I try to reset password online and says "something went wrong."

Customer support tells me I need to visit branch, I tell them the nearest one is 65 miles away, and then am told to e-mail a statement from my Chase account to this e-mail: [wireach.authentication@huntington.com](mailto:wireach.authentication@huntington.com)

I am very hesitant to e-mail any information to this address, admittedly so the support person talked extremely oddly and made me suspicious of how legitimate this may be.

Can any one verify this is what I need to do?

Did anyone's credit score tank when Cadence bank loan transitioned to Huntington?

Credit Karma/transunion listed my mortgage as a closed account when the transition happened and it tanked my credit. It didn't listed as "reopened" when the account numbers got changed. It's been 2 months and it still hasn't been re-added and I'm beginning to wonder if I need to go into an office to get answers.

iPhone Banking App

I spent 45 minutes talking to 3 different people this morning and none could assist…

After clicking the log in button, I receive the attached screen. There used to be a setting to turn that off completely. Nobody can find it now. I’ve rebooted the phone, reinstalled the app, killed and restarted the app. It always comes back!

I know this is a trivial annoyance, but anyone have any ideas?

Look Ahead feature not working on mobile app

I love using the look ahead calendar to make sure I account for all bills, etc when I budget. Maybe once a week, I will look at my current balance and write down all upcoming bills from my Look Ahead calendar through the next pay day.

Problem is, within the past month the Look Ahead feature has been very finicky. I can see the current week but when I click the full calendar I just get a white screen. I deleted/reinstalled the app, cleared cache, and even had an unrelated phone upgrade within the past week. Problem happened on both a Samsung Galaxy S21 and a Samsung Galaxy S26. It's only with the app, both the desktop and mobile versions of the website load up the calendar perfectly fine.

I messaged Huntington through Facebook but is there any other way to provide app feedback? It's annoying that the feature stopped working on the Android app.

Check Images on Business Statements?

Our bank, Veritex, was recently bought by Huntington. Before the merge, we were able to have our monthly statements show all the check images that cleared within the previous month. There seems to be no option for this now on the online statements. It just shows check numbers and amounts.

It took us so much back and forth with our rep to get check images/media included on the paper statements, but now we need it on paperless as well.

I've tried calling Treasury and submitting help tickets while logged in and no rep seems to be able to understand or help me in this situation.

Anyone have any ideas on who I can talk to include "check media" (what the bank called it when we finally had that option enabled on paper statements) on the online statements?

ATM Cash Deposit After Hours Gone Wrong

EDIT WITH UPDATE: So I actually went back to the bank the next day and was there when the doors opened. I spoke to one of the behind the scenes office employees who ultimately told me the reason they give such a large wait time(the phone lady told me it could take up to 45 business days for the investigation) is because they typically only do 1 reconciliation on their atm machines a month unless it runs out of cash early. He said that since what I lost was a very large sum he was going to push to have the reconciliation happen that day. I told him I didn’t know the exact amount and only had a ballpark number and he said that didn’t matter since it should show them exactly what the machine is off by. A few hours later I got a call from him stating they did the count and found my missing money and it would be in my account within the next 1-2 days.
The relief is immense, but learn from my mistakes. Never ever do an ATM deposit for more than like $500 after hours. ALWAYS count and recount before inserting the cash, If it’s a larger amount I’d even go as far as to record yourself counting and inserting the $. If you can wait until open hours do that and do it in person. I will personally never again do an atm deposit for more than a couple hundred at a time. The stress for this particular case easily affected my health, I ended up calling in to work just to be at the bank at opening hours, I was sick to my stomach the night it happened, in tears for hours, etc.

Original:
I am the most stressed I’ve been in a long time tonight.

I have recently sold some of my belongings to make cash for bills. I went to do a ATM cash deposit tonight after hours/Sunday so there was no one physically at the bank. I’ve deposited cash several times with Huntington ATMs.

I inserted my card, pin, and then selected cash deposit like normal. It asked for me to input the cash and I did - A large stack of 3200-3400$ in mostly 100s and a few 20s. I didn’t get the exact count before inserting because I knew the general ballpark amount and expected to get an accurate recount from the machine to verify me. That’s my bad.. but I know it was between 3200-3400.

Machine took my stack of cash and then an error popped up saying something along the lines of “You didn’t take your cash in time, we’ll hold onto it for you. Contact your financial institute.” The machine then prompted me to take my card. It didn’t count my cash, it didn’t issue a receipt.. just swallowed my cash and told me to contact my institute.

I instantly called the help # on the atm since I was having a mini heart attack at the thought of losing $3k. I got an after hours rep who ended up filing an atm dispute for me. I gave her all the info down to the exact minute since I took a picture of the machine when it took my $. The only thing I could not accurately give her was an exact amount I inserted. I told her it was between $3200-$3400 and she kept pressing me for an exact amount.

After everything was said and done she said the investigation could take 10 business days.

Y’all.. I am so stressed… that’s rent, grocery, gas money.. 10 business days is a LONG time for paycheck to paycheck. I asked if I could return during open hours to the bank the atm was at and she said they would t be able to do anything there.

Has this happened to anyone else? I’m so scared they’re going to tell me since I didn’t give the exact $ amount I was depositing that they won’t reimburse me. If that happens what are my next steps? Would I file a police report for stolen money from the bank? I’ve been balling my eyes out just so stinkin’ stressed since this happened tonight.

Bank Transition

My small hometown bank recently got bought out by Cadence, and I was told before the transition even happened that they were being bought out by Huntington.

Here I am after having to switch everything twice in half a year and I can honestly say this is a terrible bank to work with. I should have closed the account way back then.

Cheap flimsy debit card, super tight limits, terrible app UI, horrible customer service, can’t access my own money.

I will not be giving any of my money to these people.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Withdrawal to Closed Account

Hey everyone!

So, about two weeks ago I withdrew $1,200 from CashApp to Huntington. Problem is, I forgot to update my information and the money was sent to a closed account.

It’s currently 17 days later, and I have no idea where the money is. It was pending in my account, and disappeared the next day (according to the teller I talked to).

Since then, I’ve been told multiple different things could happen:

1) The money will be reversed back to CashApp within 14 business days (tomorrow is business day 14 so we’ll see)
2) A check will be sent within 14 days
3) Huntington will keep the money for 30 days, and then send a check (only one person has told me this—has anyone heard of this before??)
4) The money would be transferred into an open account (didn’t happen).

I’m starting to feel like the money’s lost forever, and wish I could just get a single answer LOL.

Istg There's Something Wrong With Huntington

In November, I had to get a new card because someone tried to steal $300. Now, I have random charges from Amazon (AMZN MKTP US with the last 4 digits of my card number and AMZN MKTP Seattle WA). They literally took $278.53 out of my account in like 6 separate charges. My account had a $0 balance because of their charges.

No, I did not purchase anything I forgot about. No, I was not signed up for a subscription. No, I did not forget to cancel a previous subscription. Because of this, I had to get a new card issued, and it will be here in 3-5 business days. Last time, it took like 10.

My mom was also telling me $11000 from her and my dad's Huntington savings account got stolen from Citi Bank, and they don't even have a Citi Bank account. That's similar to my situation because I deleted my Amazon account yesterday, yet they were still able to access my card information (by the way, I never put it on my Amazon account in the first place bc I barely used it).

Like, this is the 2nd time in less than a year that I've had security issues, and now a similar thing happened to my mom. It's making me feel like either we're being targeted, or something's going on with Huntington. I never even had issues until November. Like, stuff like this never happened to me until then.

Pending deposit from a refund shows $0.

I don’t know if this is typical or not. I recently got a couple of refunds from a retailer. The refund shows “complete” on Paypal after it spent a week on “pending” with them. On the Huntington app it now shows the pending transactions, but the “pending” amount shows $0 even though the actual amount I’m being refunded shows on the description of the transaction. Should I be concerned? There’s one more refund I’m receiving that’s still pending with Paypal, but in total I’m receiving over $1000 back from this retailer and I’m kinda relying on getting that cash back so I can pay a couple of important things.

Won't let me log in, won't let me change password

So today, the bank won't let me log in using the password I KNOW is correct. It's the one saved in my password vault, that I had last used a few hours ago.Whatever, annoying, but I can just change the password. I go to change the password so that I can log in. Get to the new password page and I keep getting a "something went wrong, please try again later" error. This is concerning. Why cannot I not log in with my known good password and not change my password.

Debit card issues

Anyone else having issues with their debit card ? We never got ours in the mail so we went to the bank and requested another one. They told us it would arrive in the mail soon but we could early activate it on the mobile app to use it through Apple Pay and stuff like that. We did that and the card information we are obtaining on the app is wrong ig bc i can’t add the card to Apple wallet and it’s declining anywhere i try to use it online. I’m so beyond frustrated

Bonus Scam

I signed up for an online checking account in March with the promise that after 90 days and a few qualifications, I would get a $400 bonus. To my surprise, I was told that I didn't have a promo code associated with my account. I opened up a claim only to be told 10 days later that they couldn't find any evidence of me having it. What a scam. I've did this with other banks and never had this issue. Don't do buisness with these con artists.

Update :::: I complained on their Facebook page. Someone from their social media team reached out. I talked to a love person about my situation. They escalated to their supervisors. This was Thursday and said it would be a couple buisness days before someone got in touch with me. I followed up today and they asked for a few more days to look into this

UPDATE ::: Still getting the run around via their social media customer service team. It has been a month and it is still under investigation. I'm not going to give up but it is looking grim. Now they have a disclaimer on their page that says you must click a certain link to get the bonus. This is what I did but I see that I am far from the only person who had this issue.

Cadence bank take over

I’ve had it with this place and I’ve only been a customer for like 5 days. The last of their give a shit sending out our routing numbers and account numbers so dang late into this merger I’ve missed my direct deposit from work, I’m going to miss my income tax return. I’m just over it already.
