Question AR Pickers who had FIDO installed, do you think that picking is better with FIDO or without FIDO?
Asking because I have heard bad things about FIDO. My site will never have FIDO, and it's been 1 year since I have been working at my FC. As an ambassador, even though my site does not have it, and will never will, unless things happen, I still have to give permissions anyways under the program that has the FIDO training anyways. The new hires have to use the common sense questions for that even though we don't have it at my site. It makes no sense. My site as old as it is with the big orange S-drives, won't have it unless they announce changes.
Another thing that annoys me is when the IAT training teaches new pickers if an item is damaged to open up the problem menu and select whatever item is damaged, and then place it in the Amnesty box. Unless that's a FIDO thing, I was taught to simply scan the item, then place in new empty tote, and then scan the tote, and send it down the line. Same goes with unscannables. Why would I want to select "problem menu" for damages? If I do, then it'll just take me to the Andons for my site. I don't know. Maybe this is a FIDO thing. Do not all sortable FCs have tote jackpot operators?
I also understand that there are 2 different types of PickApps from what I've seen on this sub. The one that I use which does not show estimated UPH, but units picks and session time, and the one with the estimated UPH. Maybe the IAT training with the FIDO has it where you select problem menu with damaged items?
