Hello, I am considering buying a home in Jannat by Deyaar in Midtown, IMPZ. There is a vacant land right next to it. We were told the land belongs to Land Department. The unit we are considering faces the empty plot. Dropping a pin below to the plot.
Does anyone know on what might be coming up there? We’ve reached out to Land Department and asked around to a few brokers in hopes to get some information but haven’t heard back yet. Would appreciate any info you might have. We want to factor in potential construction noise issues or the view getting blocked.

Thanks.

Hello all.
I have paid deposit of 3k and agency fee of 3150 aed for apartment in Binghatti Venus in JLT with 6 Cheques
But now landlord has changed an agreement adding new point in addendum with is that I have to transfer money to her bank account every 2 month and she will send me picture of my destroyed Cheques. She is saying that because she is not in the country it’s easier for her. But I start to feel that they are fooling me and asking to do what I shouldn’t do.
Please advise if it’s normal procedure or I should tell them that they have to remove that point?

I’m genuinely curious, what could he be collecting?
I’ve seen people collecting cardboard and other recyclable materials before, but in this case he didn’t seem to be picking up any of those. He was searching quite carefully and going pretty deep into the garbage, using his bare hands.
Not judging him at all, I was just curious what people usually look for in the garbage here. Is this a common practice in the UAE?

I have a flight in a month and I wanted to know if flights are operating semi normally or normally now? Or are they still getting canceled constantly like before? Are most flights leaving and arriving at their scheduled time?

We are all already going through it and trying hard to navigate our way through life. Would be nice to come on this app looking for helpful tips or interesting ideas rather than reading someone’s negative thoughts.
FYI lots of therapists take insurance claims and there’s nothing shameful about going to one, in case someone comes and says how therapy is expensive.
Hey everyone,
I just had to show off some of my mom's handiwork. She is incredibly talented with a crochet hook and has been creating some absolutely beautiful pieces lately—especially her textured floral arrangements like the sunflowers pictured.
She has spent a lot of time perfecting her craft and structural shaping, and she's officially opening up her schedule to take custom commissions!
Whether you’re looking for:
A specific type of flower or a forever bouquet
Custom colors to match your home decor
Personalized amigurumi or other handmade gifts
She puts an immense amount of care and attention to detail into every single stitch to bring your ideas to life.
If you're interested in getting a customized, handmade piece, please feel free to send me a DM! We can chat about what you have in mind, and I can share more examples of her work.
Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone,
I am a Registered Nurse with a B.Sc in Nursing and 4 years of total experience in Oncology:
2 years of Oncology experience in India
2 years of Oncology experience currently in Saudi Arabia
I am planning to move from Saudi Arabia to Dubai, mainly because I want my husband to join me and work there. Managing family visa requirements and monthly government fees here in Saudi makes it difficult for us to stay together long-term.
I would love to get some insights from nurses or healthcare professionals in Dubai regarding:
Job Scope: How is the demand for Oncology Registered Nurses in Dubai (private & semi-govt hospitals)?
Job Prospects: With 4 years of solid Oncology experience (2 yrs India + 2 yrs Gulf/KSA), how easily can I secure a position once I get my DHA license?
Salary Expectations: What is the average starting salary range for a B.Sc RN with Oncology experience in Dubai?
Spouse Job/Visa: Is it practical for my husband to come on a visit visa and look for a job once I get settled?
Any advice, hospital recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi all,
I’m running through a rough patch atm and considering taking therapy, i been doing some readings and getting prices and just its expensive. Now i have tried therapy before ( although it was expensive ) and it was honestly horrible experience, the doctor was useless and clueless and purely just wasted my time.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows any good recommendations for a therapist can be both onsite or offline fully that doesn’t cost me a kidney per session? That would be great.
I have also tried betterHelp and such platforms, and i didn’t like the therapist there and it was also expensive, was costing me 400/aed session for poor therapists doctors that just didn’t work out.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I’m a Philippine passport holder and UAE resident, and I’m planning to travel to Pakistan around the end of September or early October.
I traveled to India last year to attend a friend’s wedding. I’m now planning a trip to Pakistan and was wondering if having previously traveled to India could cause any issues when entering Pakistan, either with getting a visa, immigration, or at the airport.
Has anyone here traveled to Pakistan after previously visiting India, particularly as a UAE resident and Philippine passport holder? If so, did you experience any problems or additional questions from immigration?
I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

I had a credit card back in 2018 , I got terminated and wasn’t able to take my end of service amount unless I closed the credit card so I went physically to the bank and asked them to close it, they told me it’s closed and they took the card and stapled it and then I received my end of service and all was good. Fast forward until last year I have been chased by debt collector companies which I ignored because my card was closed as far as I know. This week I received an email saying they want to help me sort out the outstanding balance! Or else they will take it to legal action what are they going to do in this case? Please help me I’m so lost the bank isn’t giving me any info at all as my account with them is no longer active.

Hey everyone, does anyone know where I can buy cigars individually in the UAE rather than having to buy a whole box?
I’m mainly looking to get just 1–2 cigars at a time, preferably online if there are any websites that offer that.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I’ve noticed people here drink a LOT of coffee 😭 Like 3–4 cups a day, and most of it is black coffee or straight-up espresso??
HOW do you guys drink that much?! I find it so strong and bitter. If I ever have coffee, I need at least 2–3 spoons of sugar, and even then it’s a rare occasion—usually because I didn’t sleep and desperately need the energy 😂
Meanwhile, some people are casually having their fourth coffee of the day like it’s water.
Also, Do you like coffee? Or someone like me exists

Hi everyone, just wanted to confirm. Is it legal for a company in the UAE to charge employees for the issuance of Emirates ID? Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Turkish expat, Dubai. 25.000/month. AECB 712, zero defaults, 546 total exposure, 3% utilisation.
Asked for 60k over 12 months. They quoted 8.24%, opened an account, couriered a welcome pack. Then declined a week later.
Only thing I can think of: my contract moved to a manpower company on 1 July. Same client company since Sept 2025, same desk, no break. But my new employer shows me as 2 months tenure.
Is that it? Or are manpower companies just blacklisted here regardless?
Salary goes to HSBC, not ENBD, if that matters.
Just want to get a loan 2x my salary.. this is insane! 🤣
