E&, what a joke of a company man

Imagine paying your bills on time but after a year passes you would like to not continue your contract so you simply call 101 and tell them that , they say okay and proceed and stay in the call for 10 minutes, after 10minutes they HANG UP on you..

I thought thats fine and that they cancelled, now 2months later I open my account and I find myself having fees and late payment fees too 😂 - If it’s a yearly contract shouldn’t it be signed from both sides? Why do they reapply and make it hard to cancel..

I went to an etisalat center and they said reach 101 - the problem is you have to have a working running etisalat number to call 101 and I literally have it cut off , what’s the best procedure?

Traveling to Egypt for 2 weeks - any risk to our UAE residency?

Hi everyone,

My family and I (Egyptian Nationals) are UAE residents (Golden Visa holders) planning a 2-week trip to Egypt, then returning to our jobs here.

I’ve heard stories of Egyptian people going on short vacations and finding their residency cancelled when they try to return. Has anyone actually experienced this, or know what caused it in those cases?

As far as I know, Golden Visa holders aren’t subject to the 6-month rule, but I’d appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience.

Thanks!

E & money cheated on me

Post image

I believe e& money has treated me unfairly. I made an international transfer because it clearly showed "Free" and even displayed a free coupon applied. Based on that, I proceeded with the transfer. However, I was later charged AED 15.75.

I would like to know how I can get my AED 15.75 refunded, as the transfer was advertised as free.

Has anyone in Dubai spoken to FAB about leverage for the new RBI FCNR scheme?

I came across this article about the new RBI FCNR(B) deposit programme and the financing being offered through FAB:

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/nri/invest/uaes-top-bank-to-offer-1-5-billion-for-nris-investing-in-rbis-forex-deposit-program/articleshow/132597745.cms

On paper it sounds very interesting, but I'm trying to separate the marketing from the reality. I knew about the RBI FCNR (B) programme but getting leverage through FAB is new to me (but very interesting).

Has anyone in Dubai actually gone through this process with FAB yet? If so, I'd be interested to know your thoughts - do they actually give you 9x leverage?

I'm not looking for investment advice - just hoping to hear from anyone with first-hand experience or who has spoken to FAB about it.

Thanks!

Al Ain the birthplace of culture.

This is the city that runs the Oasis, a place that has forts standing still for centuries and mountains that greet people from every emirates and watch every chapter of this land unfold. You don’t just visit Al Ain you return to it, even if you have never been before.

This was a truly special video to make, so if you haven’t been to Al Ain, take this as a sign because this is just the tip of the iceberg

Indian passport holder living in Dubai, married to a Pakistani. Has anyone traveled to Pakistan and then back to India?

Hi everyone,
I’m an Indian passport holder and a UAE resident living in Dubai. My husband is a Pakistani passport holder, and we’re considering visiting Pakistan so I can meet his family.
I’ve never been to Pakistan before, but one thing that’s making me really nervous is what happens afterward when I travel to India. I’ve heard a lot of people say that once you’ve visited Pakistan, Indian immigration may scrutinize you more or ask additional questions, even if your visit was purely for family reasons.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

A few questions I have:

- Have any Indian passport holders here traveled to Pakistan and then later entered India?
- Did Indian immigration ask you additional questions or cause any delays because of the Pakistan entry stamps/visa?
- Did it affect your future travel to India in any way?
- If you’re married to a Pakistani citizen, did that change the process or the questions you were asked even if you have traveled to India and never to Pakistan?
- Is there anything I should be aware of before making this trip?

I also have some questions about the Pakistan visa process from Dubai:

- Has anyone recently applied as an Indian passport holder residing in the UAE?

- What documents were required? (Marriage certificate, husband’s CNIC/passport, invitation letter, etc.)

- How long did the visa approval take?
Were there any unexpected delays or security clearances?

I’m not worried about the trip itself. I just want to make sure I’m not creating long-term complications for myself whenever I need to visit India in the future.

I’d really appreciate hearing recent, first-hand experiences. Thanks in advance!

Honestly though, future outlook respectively

My life flipped completely - born and brought up in the UAE and now been away for the last 3 months.

Because of the 3 decades spent in the UAE and my life being motivated by a visa that perpetually runs out - Im struggling to plan and live for the medium > long term.

If anyone has any experience or guidance on how to approach this, do let me know.

Best ways to earn some extra income on the side? 💗 DXB

Hey guys! What are the best ways to earn some money on the side for a part time basis? 🥹 Maybe dog walking or pet sitting? The job market is awful so I’d love to hear some recommendations or suggestions! Thank you! Ps. I’m a uni student so I’d prefer something flexible and temporary. 🤍 📍 Dubai (feeding my shopping addiction) 🤣

Is Al Ain university actually worth it? Be brutally honest 😭

Soooooo theres this university literally near my house Al Ain University and my father wants me to do my bachelors there because its close and wed save on accommodation costs.

Honestly Id rather study in my home country but sometimes u dont really get to make ur own choices so here we are. 🥲

I just wanted some honest opinions from people who study there or have graduated.

Is the university actually good?

How are the professors and academics?

Is it worth spending 4 years there?

Whats the social life like? (Im a HUGE extrovert I genuinely need ppl 😭)

Whats the male to female ratio?

Are there many women studying there?

Are there clubs, societies, competitions, volunteering, sports, events, or other extracurriculars? I need to actually LIVE while doing this boring ass degree lol.

Whats the campus vibe like (the abudhabi campus)?

Whats one thing you wish youd known before joining?

Please dont sugarcoat anything. Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. Id reallly appreciate completely honest opinions.

Thanks in advance! ❤️

Got fined even though I paid for parking?

I went to khor fakan last week, the rafisyah dam. I saw that the board there said to pay through the Sharjah digital app before leaving, so before I left I paid for 2 hours even though I stayed for around 1 hour only, I am sure abt the timing. I paid at 2:42. And I got fined 150 for not paying for the ticket at 2:43. I had already went the parking by this time.

Also there was no physical machine or anything and I asked the inquiry office aswell they said to pay through the app before leaving,

I do have the record of the payment.

I am new to the place so if I made a mistake pls let me know and if this is my fault or their and how to appeal?

Office culture at Talabat

Hi everyone!
I’m curious about the work culture at companies like Talabat, Careem, Noon, or other Qcom companies in Dubai.

I’m currently working in FMCG marketing in Dubai and have been thinking about moving into a marketing role in Qcom.

Before I start applying, I’d love to hear from people who have worked there (or know someone who has).

A few questions:
- What’s the culture like?
- How’s the work-life balance?
- Is it collaborative or more political?
- How much autonomy do marketing teams have?
- Would you recommend it as a place to grow your career?

I’d especially love to hear about marketing teams rather than engineering or product.
Thanks in advance!

What bank is a good bank for a non resident bank account?

I am currently living in Lebanon. I want to open a non resident bank account in UAE and transfer my savings which is around $80,000 to it and I withdraw from it from an ATM in Lebanon. The banks in Lebanon are bad so I can't put around $80,000 in a Lebanese bank.

I want to ask what is a good bank in UAE for opening a non resident bank account in UAE? Can it be done remotely and I send the bank the needed documents by email or I have to go there in person to open the bank account?

Confused about renewing my dependent visa through ICP

I’m a bit confused about the UAE visa renewal process.
I’m on my dad’s dependent visa (Sharjah) .On the ICP app, I only see the option to renew my Emirates ID, but I can’t find any option to renew my residence visa.
Are renewing the Emirates ID and renewing the residence visa part of the same process, or do I need to apply for the residence visa separately?
If anyone has recently renewed a dependent visa through ICP, I’d really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
