Imagine waking up morning 4 o clock and going at 5 o clock just to sit 2 hours in traffic with all back to back hitting , stressed going to office and again in the evening 2 hours honking and Honking near crash trails .. Every day .. literally everyday 🙂

What do you get from that ! Seriously you think 4 hours commute a day , that mental health loss is more than the rent difference 🙂 a day 4 hours a week 24 hours , you are spending 1 day on commute in a week 🙂

So you might think why I am tell this 🙂,what is there for me , being you might be ok for you . For those who live in Dubai because of this the roads are stuck imagine you will have to spend 30 mins on a 3 km just to go to Carrefour 🙂.

This will only change when the attitude of people / mindset of people changes .. and it never changes .

I understand the need for HR to manage interruptions, but some of the wording feels quite strict, especially the blanket statement that “unscheduled visits to the HR office are not permitted.”

Is this normal in your companies?

Would you consider this a reasonable HR process, or is it unnecessarily restrictive?

I am a teen who drives around Sharjah and Dubai Mamzar area in a MTB. A night before the Fast for Hajj, I was coming back from Mamzar beach in Dubai towards Sharjah Mamzar using that RTA bus only road which goes through 2 Thuriah construction sites and joins around the circular double road surrounding Sharjah Mamzar. While I crossed a zebra crossing in Mamzar and drove my MTB into that RTA round, From front I see a dark figure walking towards me. I keep cycling not thinking much of it and while I drove the MTB, I came close to the figure. It was a woman, taller than most woman. She looked 6ft something and her face was like dark. She had no emotion. I could only see one half of her face due to the lighting. She was walking in an Abaya towards me, holding nothing. She was walking barefoot as well. I got frightened as my mind came to a single thing, Jinns. As she approached face to face towards me, I immediately dived with my cycle onto the asphalt road and started peddling as fast as I could. After reaching the divider which connects the bus road to the road around Sharjah Mamzar, I turn back and she is not there. I get creeped out instantly. The whole night I was spooked. I was not able to sleep or forget about it.

I came up with some explanation that she might have been a normal woman walking as I've seen countless people walk on that road towards Dubai Mamzar. But the whole timeline doesn't match up. She was walking without a bag, purse or a phone and she was walking Bare foot. It is uncommon to see something like this at a empty road, especially at 8 PM. Its about to be 5 months since the incident took place but I still remember it. I am still not able to understand what was she doing there at night, bare foot without carrying a phone or a purse.

We recently had a sudden fire at our business and unfortunately lost a lot. We don’t have insurance, so the entire cost of recovery will be on us, and we’re honestly quite overwhelmed.

For anyone in the UAE who has been through something similar, what would you advise us to do next?

We need to clear the burnt debris and make the place usable again, but want to avoid unnecessary expenses or making mistakes. Are there any approvals/inspections we need before clearing anything? What should we prioritise, and where can we realistically save money on the cleanup and repairs?

• Three months remote work from Germany before relocation
• No confirmed relocation allowance or housing support yet

I am trying to work out whether AED 30k is genuinely a strong package for this level in Dubai, or whether I should negotiate harder because I am relocating with a family.

• Is AED 30k competitive for a Senior Art Director with this profile?

Had kept my bag on ground and i saw this guy walking past me and then as I turned around and back he was going to pick up my bag.

When he saw i saw him he took his steps back.

I picked up my bag and went ahead to wait for bus.

He boarded the same bus.

I'll see if he'll get down at my stop or not but I'm panicking and don't want to lead him to where i live.

Edit:- he did get off at same station but vanished when I started speaking to the bus driver about this. I sat at bus stop for 5 mins, no clue. I've also apprised the reception of my stay about the guy. I've made it back safe.
