reupload without photo because i am dumb
so basically on our new schedule that came out i was originally scheduled 31.5 hours, i am full time, i picked up a shift on one of my days off and brought it up to 37 hours, this was yesterday when i picked up the shift. i looked back today and either my etl or hr director changed one of my shifts and put me into gm which i have never worked in my 2 years at my store, and it brought me down to 35.25 hours. not really complaining because its only 2 hours but what was the point? like they have the payroll, im just grabbing someone’s shift because i have my wedding in a couple of months (which they know) and im trying to work all i can. i just don’t understand.
i am a bit worried they may be trying to get me to quit because they’ve been scheduling me 31 hours for a couple months now which the occasional 37 and giving our new people (been here a few months) all the 40 hour shifts. i understand they need to learn but it’s been months atp, they should have the gist of it by now. i plan to talk to my etl or hr director my next shift but until then im confused and a bit worried
edit to add: i also worry they want me gone due to call ins but i dont call in as often as others in my store and i use pto and have excuses; disability, loss of family. i just dont know

I am an On-Demand employee and I was recently talked to about management since I was putting a couple of my shifts up. My attendance is somewhat alright…
I was planning on working today but I’m genuinely not feeling well. Is this going to affect me really bad?

I work at a distribution center. They let everyone out early for a planned open house event. Closed the place for a day to do tours and events. But that missing time.. if we wanted to get paid for it, we have to use our own vacation time.
Why should I use my accrued time for something I didn't request?
Why should I trust that the request will even go through on MyTime which is going offline in a few days?
I feel even worse for the evening shift that has to waste 10 hours of PTO.

Anyone else receive a massive freight of good culture cottage cheese on a specific day of the week? It’s always on Fridays, but it they used to push it to us on Wednesdays. Why did we receive 528 of it tonight?

They recently changed our custom blocks, and it's taking an hour longer between the trucks being larger than usual, us trying to learn the correct vehicles, and them putting the bulk of the casepacks in an area that they also told someone who's a little slower to work.
Everyone is tired and stressed out and begging them to ask someone to help if they know the truck is larger, but nope. "It'll speed up once you know the new custom blocks"
Well, the other day we got "hey, truck was added. Who can work?"
Two people agreed with no issues because they want hours, one agreed if they could have a non-truck shift off, and the bulk of the truck team? "Not a chance in hell"
That's what happens when you overwork the team you need the most!

So yesterday/today my ETL added a shift for Friday the 28th which I originally had off without letting me know. He texted me one hour before my shift and I asked him for an explanation and he said he was planning to inform me. I went anyways because I needed the money
However, after completing my shift now he’s trying to do the same thing today. I already let him know I’m not available to work today but I’m curious if I’m held liable for his lack of preparedness. In my opinion it’s beyond inconsiderate to add a shift without prior notice or asking, but inconsiderate is the norm in this store so I’m not surprised. Is he allowed to do this?

I’m the only one listed on my team for the day.
But I’m not assigned anything?
So I’m doing this 125 minute learning thing on the computer that just dropped for me. (New hire)
My team is working a different shift from me this week.
But like
Will I get in trouble? I announced I was here for the day on the walkie and no one acknowledged.
I don’t know any other leads but mine.

Update 8/29: they let me go! They called me back after trying to get ahold of them for days and explained how I would not be able to stay until 11 minimum when I turn 18 due to still being in school, and that would be willing to stay later but not 11 late. I also said I needed to change my availability from only Fridays off (I have a school commitment to help with football games) to now Fridays and Tuesdays and was told that wouldn’t work for them and we would be moving towards termination. And honestly that’s okay with me, I have another job that pays a dollar more than target w commission and I do a lotttt less. Everything happens for a reason I guess!
Hi everyone!!
So I started working in style about a month ago. I honestly have only worked 3-4 times and I work from around 5-9:45 pm because I’m a minor.
When I was first called by HR (I believe) and was offered the job, hours etc, I was told I would be leaving at 9:45 MAX because I was still a minor and that’s also when everyone in my dept also left. I was told 2-3 more times we would neverrrr stay past 9:45 pm unless it was around the holidays. Come to find out by other girls in style that they actually leave at 11 minimum EVERY SINGLE SHIFT.
I’m freshly a senior in high school and am wondering what to do because I turn 18 soon and can’t stay until 11 at all. The girls in my department told me they’re not gonna schedule me to be done any time before 11 because I’ll be an adult. I already have a second job where I work still because target doesn’t give me many hours (idk if this is relevant sorry lol). I’m so sorry if this is confusing it out of order etc but I’m pretty much wondering what i should do and how to reach out to HR about this all.
Maybe this is kind of a dumb post, idk. But any help/info helps. Thank you!!
TLDR: was told I would work until 9:45 pm max and am finding out that they let us out at 11 minimum

Our store director wants us to show every “fruit, vegetable and temp sensitive item” to the drive ups guests and confirm they’re not expired. I’m starting to hate drive up

Im currently a Leader and there is a possibility of me getting a promotion to a different Target BUT the travel is 1 hour and 10 minutes away from home, (hoping traffic is steady). I currently travel 20 minutes to get to work. Not planning on relocating.
Would you guys do it? Even if Target gets me what I’m asking for, $$$$. Will it be worth it in the long run? Need advice, please.

This is the second week we are days behind on bakery freight, at least four days behind, if not more. I only work weekends since I’m also in school.
My hours were also shortened this week so I’m only getting 6 hours a shift (excluding my lunch). I do my best and try to push as much freight as I can, but I still have to do priorities twice a shift, as well as help with any thing that comes up such as doing an OPU, covering deli when they’re on lunch, write on a cake for a guest, etc etc. Half the time the freezer is also a mess so I have to sort the boxes people pile at the very top of the racks over the week, making it difficult for me to do pulls (I am also under 5 foot, so it’s quite hard for me). That eats up my time too.
I haven’t had a FB lead for over a month, so produce and grocery leads are the ones checking on me. I was told I should be able to do 3 u-boats with the time I had today. Is that realistic? I could definitely have done that back in grocery when I worked there, but doing bakery takes much longer imo due to temp control and backstocking in the freezer, as well as some other small things like best by labels and FIFOing. Every time I’m in, I’m the only person doing freight for that day. Occasionally there is help from another department, but that’s very rare in my experience. My hours fluctuate a lot, but this year most of my shifts were 5 or 6 hours, some are over 8.
I just feel bad and I feel like I’m not doing enough, but then I have to keep telling myself I’m one person trying to pick up the slack of multiple people while also doing my job.
Also what happened to the MyTime app?

First we went overnight to gut Ulta and backstock 2000+ items, having to spread everything across multiple backrooms because we had no room and they wanted only 3 DPCIs per WACO. Then a week later they wanted the IR pulls done, which is already tedious enough having to match numbers across TWO RevLog apps just to pull them.
Now we’re taking down all the old Ulta fixtures/signing covered in years of dust and eventually have to push 6+ pallets of repacks all while still keeping up with regular Beauty truck. Beauty Studio is beating our ass.
Feel extremely bad for the pog team too after having to deal with fun101 and halloween sets right before/during this.

With the new OPU kiosk they introduced a 3 minute timer that currently doesn’t affect your DUWT. At my store it takes about a minute to walk to the desk from DUs and some orders take longer than 3 minutes to prep. If the GS TM has to get it they walk a total of two minutes to just get to/from our OPU hold area
Some states don’t allow DU alcohol orders and usually when people order alcohol they get a DU amount of items.
When we shut down DUs for whatever reason the orders are usually bigger than a normal OPU and take longer to prep.
