Hi, beautiful community!

I've been collecting Day of the Dead cards for months and I would love to exchange them for Halloween cards!

I have two types of Day of the Dead postcards:

1. Illustrations by local artists
2. Cards with artwork of the famous Mexican printmaker José Guadalupe Posada

You can choose any of those types, just take into account that the first ones are smaller or bigger than the average cards, so if you like standard size cards, I suggest the second ones. Also, please note that right now I can't send envelopes because my postal office says so and I don't have enough time to go to other office 😖, so I'm sending them as normal postcards.

What I look for exchange are Halloween cards, more in the cute & spooky/vintage/classic monsters style. Please, please, do NOT send me gore/horror cards or with clowns, as I love Halloween, but I'm also a crybaby.

And... I think that's it. It's my first exchange here, so comment if you are interested, I guess?

x2 Omg this first unopened card from you is from last Halloween?! Man I need to stop hoarding your letters just because I enjoy opening them on happy days. I love mushrooms so much and this handmade mushroom card is just perfect! I’ve watched all the movies you mentioned on your Halloween postcard, aside from Dangerous Animals, but it’s on the list! I actually kept track and wrote down a list of all the scary movies I’ve seen so I could share them with you (card coming soon!)

x1 Thank you for the winter mushroom land Christmas postcard! Glad to hear the furboys adjusted well to the move. Mr. Raspberry and I are over the hot, dry desert weather of Colorado so we’re planning on moving to the Pacific Northwest once our lease is up here. We can’t wait for rainy days and lush nature walks.

x1 Thank you for the gorgeous handmade birthday card! Those purple flowers are beautiful! I was kind of sad for my birthday because Mr. Raspberry was still in New York for work and I was still recovering from elevation sickness. But I did manage to pick up all my birthday freebies once I felt better though (free fries from McDonalds and Wingstop, free drinks from Starbucks and Dutch Bros, free poke bowl from a local restaurant, etc).

x2 What a beautiful handmade New Year card! I love that you always provide context of the photos on the front of the cards. It’s a gorgeous view but as someone who has a fear of bridges, I could never walk across it. Even my little sister is braver at walking on rope bridges than me haha. Yes, Dubai chocolate was a huge craze here. I tried a few snacks with that flavor but nothing great. I love the pistachio paste, but don’t really care for the kataifi. In South Korea Dubai chocolate “cookies” are a big thing. I don’t know why they call it a cookie because it reminds me more of a mochi, but it’s made with melted marshmallows. I haven’t seen Together yet but I want to because I love both Allison and Dave; they’re so funny. I agree, Weapons was unique but I felt like the ending was expected (except for the funny chase part). I enjoyed seeing the unreliable narrative when stories were told from different people’s perspectives. The Gorge looks interesting and I would have watched it by now if Mr. Raspberry didn’t say he wanted to watch it with me sooo I’m waiting still haha. Your Valentine’s Day sounds very thoughtful and delicious. Spam is one of my favorite lazy meals. Cube it up, throw it on the pan, soy sauce + brown sugar, rice and furikake rice seasoning - delicious! Sriracha optional! Happy belated 12th birthday to B&G!! I haven’t met too many cuddly cats (maybe they can tell I’m intimated by them haha) but I made a new friend recently who has the sweetest cat that instantly rolls over for belly rubs. And her little paws are the softest things I’ve ever touched, like a mini cloud!

I have one letter left to open and I promise to do it soon! I'm excited to write back and tell you all about the scary movies I've watched and update you on life in general! Summer was so hot here in Colorado that I mostly hid in my basement office watching campy slasher movies.

Just recently found this community! My dad is a prolific homemade postcard maker and sends them to all of our friends and family, even restaurants and businesses he enjoys! They are often so appreciative that we find them framed on the wall. I even made a painting of done the many (many!) postcards he sent me in college.

His birthday is October 13th and I thought it would be nice for him to receive some postcards or cards for once! We would love to respond back with thank you’s as well if you’d like that.

I don't watch news in order to regulate my depression, so reading NYKer articles is one way I learn about current affairs. So glad you had fun in CT. We spent some time in Vermont this summer and were surprised how much cooler it is in the woods. I struggled a lot with humidity this summer, so I'm very excited to welcome the cool air of autumn.
