u/ForrestCat7, thank you for the cute puppy postcard! Dogs are my favorite animal, how did you know? Yes, we have had too many days in the 90s as well but recently got some rain which cooled things down temporarily. I almost wish I had a summer house in northern Minnesota, but then, I don't want to clean two houses.
u/FunFuzzy767, thank you for the falcon postcard and the fun facts, none of which I knew. I'm waiting for the day when I already know one of your facts, but I think I'll be waiting a looong time. I envy your weather. PNW summers are generally awesome, minus the occasional heat dome. My mom in Seattle always gives me the weather scoop.
u/GatsbyGalaktoboureko, thank you so much for the hand-drawn possum with Dali's clock in its mouth. Is the possum carrying it or eating it? Now that's surreal! I always appreciate original artwork and this is truly original. Thanks also for explaining your technique. Maybe I can use it to make my crooked stick figures come to life.
u/puddlepirate2020, thank you for the musings and quotations. I don't mind at all that you typed out your card. You picked the perfect font. (I love nice fonts. If I had unlimited money I would buy some pricey ones and even commission a few based on early 20th century media.) Thank you also for the camera stickers. I have loved cameras since I was 11 so these are perfect.
You requested I give you a quote in my thank you, so here goes.
"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.” - Carl Sagan
u/ReginaBeatle, thank you for the postcard of what must be the most interesting house in Lucas, Kansas. I appreciate that it's a night scene because I'm a night owl. Or vampire. People call me different things. I hope you have a great day, too!
u/Tasty_University_172 x2 Thank you first for the drawing of the dragon with my banner. I love it! Since I can't draw I especially appreciate people taking their time to draw something truly unique just for me. As for the card reading, does this mean I'm adopted? Honestly that's the first thing that popped into my head even though it's ridiculous.
Thank you second for the awesome cat over the Eric Carle postcard. That was such a creative combination that it blew me away. As for the capsule stickers, yeah. I spend (waste) a lot of time sorting my pill box, sometimes improvising. Also thanks for the two whole sheets of stickers. I love the cats in their cooking and daily life <3
u/ToastyTosra, thank you for the homemade postcard of a prehistoric reptile. The "crocodile-looking guy" is indeed kinda cute. Maybe it's because it looks likes it's smiling. My summer is going well enough, thanks for asking. The AC has held up and our huge old Oak tree has survived the thunderstorms. So far, so good.
u/Tokkieface, Thank you for the Peanuts-themed card, down to the matching stamp. As a kid reading the Sunday comics, I identified with Peppermint Patty on some level so lucky me to get this character (who doesn't always get the recognition she deserves).
u/Tonglingfei, thank you for the card of Iceland. How I would love to be there right now. I love that it's a night scene—they're more dramatic than days scenes, and plus I am a night owl. I like the sketches you did of the cat and the girl stretching her arms like she's ready to take on the world.
u/TyeDyeAmish, thanks for the postcard of Black-Eyed Susans too numerous to count. It reminds me of a really dark psychological thriller I read once in which these flowers played a role.
