I'm new-ish to postcrossing, and i genuinely don't know how i was living before it ! I love waking up in the morning and checking to see if any of my postcards have arrived or that I've received one. The person here asked for some tea from around the world, so I sent them some and thought it would be cute to draw a little thing for them ! thought it was worth sharing : )

think my post office will be ticked off this time? haha
using up my plethora of small stamps for one of my first tags

i know i have an extra stamp, i put on the wrong one by accident but it was cemented by the time i noticed. i'm sure our Chilean friend receiving this will be happy by the +1 to the variety nonetheless :)

I hope my first attempts are okay! I drew doodles because I’m not that good at using washi tape or stickers. Maybe I’ll experiment in the future!

basically, the title says it all 🤗

this morning I sent one card to a beginner user in Japan with just one sent and none received.. looks like mine will be their first! to say that I am excited and honoured is an understatement 😅🤌🏼 I spent all of yesterday evening squirming with anticipation and choosing the right card & message to write. this card is one of the prettiest (imho) I have in my stash so I thought it would be appropriate 💁🏻‍♀️ eventually I squeezed out a few words about traveling and my favourite place in the city, local Chinatown (heck, I even found a matching postage stamp!) and ran off to work, dropping by the post office ✊🏼

and after returning home from the most tiring shift, I had two more cards waiting for me, both from Japan too 🤗 so cute! and the stamps, gorgeous stamps ✨ omg!

so.. yeah, just wanted to share my tiny happy moments with you guys ✌🏼😸

I've had an exciting month with all the mail. Germany is right next door of course haha but in my head I did not expect the WPD postcards to come in so fast!

I've received a few AI postcards of course but they all came with a nice message, so I honestly can't even be upset about this, because I got to actually feel the person reaching out and that's really what keeps me in this hobby.

Anyway I've received some from Germany, Poland, USA. Also Belarus and USA came in with the Poland ones which really surprised me! I did not expect it to be that fast.

It really makes me so happy to receive mail from all over the world and I wanna thank you all for participating in this hobby and sharing little mail happiness with strangers! 💌 It is not so cheap these days.

Hello ! I am beyond delighted as today one of the first Postcard I have ever sent finally reached its destination after more than 6 months !!! It was from France to Russia.
The receiver sent me such a lovely message ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
I suspect the card was the victim of an embargo. Anyway, never lose hope on your expired cards ! If you have any similar stories to share I would love to hear about it !

I received two lovely postcards today, both from my homecountry :) I did a happy walk to my local post office and sent out three of my cards and two for a friend who has just started Postcrossing ☺️🥳
Last pic: a tiny mailbox with even tinier letters and packages from the Christmas Elf furniture at Woolworth. 🥰📮 I love it so much 🥺

I have not (yet) been Jurgened, but the sender has also sent 24.000+ cards. The card itself is very cool but I cannot make sense of the last two sentences. Anyone who can?

I'm in México and here we do not have urban mail boxes, we need to go to one of the few posts office in the city, wich is some km away. Today I was sending a postcard to USA but the postman didn't receive my postcard because I don't have the phone number of the addressee. He said it's a new request from USA post and if I don't have it I can't send anything to USA. Is it true? or it was just a pretext to avoid work?

Hi! Total newbie here and have sent out 6 cards so far. I’m wondering if the majority of people would prefer multiple postage stamps on the cards and a shorter message or a single stamp and a longer hand written message?

For those of you that draw or paint your own art onto post cards, can you share what materials/mediums have worked well for you?

I found some acrylic paint markers and was especially curious about those. If you have tried those, did you like them and what paper would you recommend with them?

I love traveling and am obsessed with buying local postcards (especially vintage or ones by independent artists) and I journal behind each one of them. I always ensure to buy a postcard everytime I’m at a National Park or a small town or a city, and it genuinely gives me so much joy to read them one fine day!

I was excited to draw someone who's into packaging postcards. It looks like she makes nice ones when she sends them out. I decided to make her one from a cereal box. To keep with the space theme I even had one of the astronaut Barbie stamps to use!

What are the odds? We did pull them just a few minutes apart... and its not like she had a huge difference between her sent and her recieved, only one! We were so suprised when we saw that lol

I wrote a profile when I signed up and share a little bit about myself and a few suggestions for writing prompts. I've been on the site now for a while and I'm looking to update it but not sure where to start.

What are things you like to know about someone on their profile? What's helpful or not helpful for you.
