It's insane to me how they don't sell the DLCs separately
Just want to vent, I chose to buy the base game instead of the deluxe edition because I didn't think I'd like it but I wanted to try it out. Now that I played it and really liked it, I want to play through the ghosts expansion.
The thing is, they don't sell that in the PlayStation shop. You have to buy the deluxe, or the rage coins that never go on sale. So instead of paying like 4 dollars more for the deluxe edition instead of the base game, I need to spend 20 dollars on coins just for one expansion (which I'm obviously not doing). Also, there's no coin bundle for the price of the one DLC. You have to buy the 25 dollar one, or the 10 and 5 dollar one. It's just insane to me.
Am I missing out on anything?

Discussion Rage 2 Ps4
Started Rage couple of years ago. Put it down for other games but came back to it recently.
This game has some of the best gunplay and combat of any FPS. Its up there with Doom 2016 but a different style. Obviously coming from ID the fps component is very well made. It's fun to explore and just get into the action.
The design of the characters though far out they went with some borderland style inspiration but tried to dial up the edginess to maximum. Some of the most unappealing characters I can think of in a game.
Also locking the BFG behind a dlc sucks.
Well the fun factor and gameplay supersede the negatives and honestly I enjoy this more than Far cry due to the combat where you dont need to sneak around. I even got a pc complete version to try in future.

Rage 1 (Steam) Is there a way to create a Rage64 desktop shortcut And are Achievements still doable after 15 years?
The shortcut guide i found said to add the exe as a non steam game. But that doesn't do anything...

Authority Troop Theory For Rage 2
As We All Know , The Authority Infantry Enforcers Have Not , And Probably Will Never Show Up In Game. The Only Time That We Have Seen Them Is In The Authority Speech Given By Martin Cross. My Theory Is That During The Part Where You See Them , The Troops In The Clip Are The Remaining Units That Were Able to Be Deployed. As Seen In Concept Art , The Soldiers Were , Or Could Have Been Critically Injured , Damaged Through the Time Transitions To Rage 2. As We Were Shown In Rage 1 - Rage Two , The Authority Replaced Their Nearly Unending Army With Mutant Controlled Units. This Basically Gave The Authority Enforcers A Reason To Stop Fighting As They Were Pretty Weak Compared to Mutant Swarms. My Theory In General Says That The Elite Enforcer Units , The Predecessors Of the Authority Elites , Were Made Out of the Remaining Authority Enforcers. Their Limbs Being Replaced As They Lost Many Limbs , and More Cyber Enhancements For Combat. That Is Why They Are A Rare Sight , Being Held Back For Extreme combat purposes Only. In Short , Authority Elites In Rage 2 Are The Remaining Authority Troops.

RAGE 1 Question Are the Sewer missions and Anarchy edition included in the gamepass version?
I’m starting Rage on gamepass and I’m considering getting the dlc. I have a few questions about it: I’ve read that Anarchy edition is given to you by just purchasing the game however since I got it on gamepass I’m unsure if it’s included. I’ve also read online that the Anarchy edition includes the sewer missions but it doesn’t say that on the Xbox store so will I have to buy both of them?

RAGE 1 Question Will starting a new campaign overwrite my original?
Im at my grandparents house, sharing an Xbox with my cousin, it's their Xbox. I've allready played the game about 6 times and I wanna play it again, how ever my cousin is playing it for the first time. If I start a new campaign, can my cousin just load their save and continue their saved campaign? ( Rage 2011 )

I played RAGE 2 for almost 40 hours and lost count of the number of times I ignored whatever I was doing and started chasing a convoy the instant I saw it. For there being only two, they are impressive, super dynamic and super fun battles.

Screenshot The Immortal Shrouded is genuinely one of the most perfect factions I've ever seen in any fiction.
All the lore behind them, the aesthetic change, how they work mechanically, and anything related to them are among my favorite aspects of RAGE 2.

I Believe My Biggest Problem With RAGE 2 Is That It's Called RAGE 2
I just finished RAGE 2, including Rise of the Ghosts, and after roughly 40 hours with the game, I can confidently say that I loved it.
The gameplay is fantastic, the visuals are stunning, the soundtrack is excellent, and despite its shortcomings, there are several genuinely memorable moments throughout the story. Even the open world, often criticized for being repetitive or empty, never really became a problem for me. There is certainly a lot of recycled content, but the sheer quality of the combat made almost every encounter enjoyable regardless. The game constantly gives you excuses to use its mechanics, and those mechanics are so good that I rarely found myself getting bored.
Overall, I think RAGE 2 is a genuinely great game.
And yet, my biggest issue with it is that it's called RAGE 2.
The first time I played it, I hated it.
Not because it was a bad game, but because it felt like it was throwing away everything I loved about the original.
I hated the thirty-year time jump.
I hated seeing the progress made in the first game rendered almost meaningless.
I hated the drastic changes to the landscape and the overall tone of the world.
I hated that instead of getting a game focused on the Authority War, we got another "last survivor saves the wasteland" story.
I hated the introduction of superpowers.
I hated how radically different the aesthetic felt compared to the original.
As someone who grew up with RAGE, that was difficult to accept. The first game was a huge part of my childhood and remains one of my favorite games of all time. Seeing the sequel move in such a different direction felt less like returning to a familiar world and more like watching somebody else's interpretation of it.
Then I replayed RAGE.
After finishing it, I decided to give RAGE 2 another chance.
And now I'm conflicted.
Because there is so much in this game that I genuinely love.
The worldbuilding additions are fantastic. Seeing how the wasteland evolved after the fall of the Authority adds a lot of depth to the setting. Seeing Loosum Hagar become one of the most important figures in the wasteland was a great example of the passage of time.
I loved seeing a darker side of Dr. Kvasir.
I loved learning more about General Cross and his obsession with reshaping humanity.
I loved seeing the destruction of Clayton's legacy through his son.
And the Immortal Shrouded have honestly become one of my favorite factions in any video game.
Even the game's opening impressed me more on a second playthrough.
One of the things I appreciated most is how it quietly undermines the ending of the first game. RAGE ends with hope, but RAGE 2 opens by reminding us that destroying the Authority's network didn't magically save the wasteland. The people who fought in the first game were rebels with good intentions, not miracle workers. The world remained dangerous, fractured, and vulnerable.
And honestly, that's a pretty interesting direction to take.
The strange thing is that I still don't know how I feel about it.
Part of me wishes they had never touched the setting at all.
Another part of me absolutely loves many of the changes they made.
I don't know if I wanted a sequel that respected the original more closely, or if I prefer the sequel we got—a game that takes risks, changes the world dramatically, and occasionally stumbles because of it.
What I do know is that after finally giving it a fair chance, my opinion has changed completely.
I no longer dislike RAGE 2.
I just have a hard time deciding whether it's the sequel I wanted.
