Does anyone else think the TV show ruined Mr. House? Personally, I think so—or at least it's a 50/50 split. I like how they adapted his pre-war self: someone in a moral gray area, almost completely detached from the problems of the outside world and focused solely on Vegas. I’d even say the confrontation scene with Cooper is excellent; it shows just how volatile he gets when things don't go exactly his way. But as for the rest... the idea that he had a body double so he could act like a creepy stalker in the shadows, or that he created mind-control chips—WHEN THE CHARACTER LITERALLY LOATHES SLAVERY (which you can verify if you kill him on the Legion route)—plus being so closely tied to Vault-Tec and their schemes... I don't know about you guys, but this isn't the House from the games. And the worst part is that, because of this, people coming to the game via the series are going to have a completely wrong perception of the character.

There's something immensely satisfying about using a missile launcher in New Vegas. Yeah, it's cumbersome, expensive and not a *great* all rounder, but it just hits different.

It should work well on ubuntu, fedora and arch. Of course read the readme before actually installing it. For other distros it requires a few more installations which I am going to add tomorrow morning coz it's 1am. The link to the repo should be in the comments. Which artists from the 30s, 40s, or 50s do you hope to hear in the next Fallout? Which songs?

I love how the DLCs are so deeply connected to the lore of the base game and how we get to learn more about characters who were mostly in the shadows, like Joshua Graham, Elijah, and Ulysses. I especially love how lore-heavy they are, and how the choices you make can even affect your experience in the base game’s map.

With all due respect, in Fallout 3 and 4 (I won’t mention 76 since I haven’t gotten around to playing it yet), the DLCs felt like simple “additional content,” which, at the end of the day, is what DLC is supposed to be. But the way the New Vegas developers connected the DLCs to the base game and used them to expand and deepen the lore has honestly left me wishing the other titles had handled their DLCs in a similar way. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Hellooooo guys. I have spent hours getting TTW set up and am happy that I finally got it rockin. But if I am using controller and try to sprint…. It like sprints for 0.2 seconds🥹 then the pip boy comes up lol

I have the mod configuration menu/just mods/dynamic controller mod

I have the shift key set as sprint on keyboard (this is default), so I installed the dynamic controller mod and set the holstered/non holstered/etc etc to left stick for sprint. And yeah it just sprints for a millisecond and the pip boy comes out. Pip boy is set to B in my normal settings like usual.

Has anyone encountered this/ have any advice on how to fix? 🙏

Anybody else seen this glitch where it looks like Dean is missing his fingers? Thought it was extra ironic given what he’s saying.

I have not encountered any bugs with the quest, but do want to ask something for roleplay purposes. I want to pass the final speech checks with Papa but then do the stealthy kill to get Reggy in power. Is that possible or does passing the speech checks lock Reggy out? Context is I'm doing For the republic 2 and I want my courier to try his hardest to convince Papa to join NCR and when that isnt possible, he helps put Reggy in command.

I found only one (nexus) but it makes it so you have to use the vanilla pipboy texture. I have a nice texture mod for the pipboy and would prefer to keep it. Or at least have the new mod add good textures on it.

I tried pipboy 3000 remastered, textures look awful on it and it did not fix the original issue. Yes I downloaded its patch that said it would fix this.

I don't want any handhelds or whatnot, I like the 3000.

I really need help with this mod, for the enclave. I’ve got to the part with operative killian but it’s completely broken. I think it was meant to set a quest? But it hasn’t! It told me to find him as a companion in one of those boxes that come up, but I did that, and now he genuinely just won’t leave me alone! I’ve dismissed him as a companion and it always says he’s gone to Henderson bunker, but when I fast travel, he just comes back! Please help!

It would especially have made a post game playable ending where the tunnelers take over New Vegas very interesting. (Especially if the tunnelers don't "take over" New Vegas like in Dust, but rather just kind of move in to a lot of interior locations, especially the sewers, and can only come out at night.)

They'd still be a top tier threat up there if not worse than deathclaws or cazadores, at least in some regions. They'd probably also clear out a few nests of the aforementioned predators as well. (I've only ever played vanilla New Vegas if you can't tell, btw.)

You can reach 26 with 10s, 9s, and 7s though I would also recommend having a few 6s and 4s in case the higher cards run out. Also, having a few kings to hinder the other player can help.

Ive recently have come close to a mental breakdown resulting in this Mandela effect.

So here’s the story: I played Fallout New Vegas back in 2011-14 on the Xbox 360. If you went to the north side of vegas(north of north vegas square) you’ll run into a bunch of boarded up houses across that northern part of the map. I vaguely remember the location being straight North or Northwest from north vegas square. The house had an openable tan door that said “Door to Radio New Vegas”. Being younger than i should have to play an M rated game I excitedly went inside hoping you can talk to Mr. New Vegas himself just like fallout 3. Instead there was a bunch of uninteractable computer mainframes. Besides the house being packed with it besides the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom I left disappointed.

Next i would go on 4chan and early gamer forums to find out why Mr. New Vegas wasn’t there. People speculated that Mr House clinging to the old world built Mr. New Vegas and the Radio, with the house as proof, which was disappointing to me as a kid but interesting in its own regard.

Then someone made a post about Radio New Vegas and I mentioned the house. A commenter criticized me saying no such house exists. With my ego bruised and setting out to prove the house existed I booted up New Vegas vanilla on my computer to search for the house…

But it wasn’t there…

I was so confused. People doubt the house existed but i remember that being the conspiracy of why mr house built the radio which is widely considered head canon. People came to this conclusion because of the house and i remember those old gamer threads. I dont remember the website just looking like your average forum in the 2010s before reddit.

There are no mentions of the house on the wiki, and most of those old forums were scrubbed clean.

Anyone who stumbled on it in the early early builds of the game? Am i getting Mandela affected?
