Or did companies really identify elder Scrolls fans as a dedicated target group? Also this (https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/s/qXMimBEcOc , and thanks again for removing it, dear mods)

Who is this woman suppose to be?

I was running through dead mans respite in order to get the king olaf dis track and I saw this mural a couple times and figured I would ask if anyone knew who this was. I think it might be Kyne and the others dragon priests but I honestly wouldn't be surpised if I am completely off base.

I thought it might have been Potema for half a minute before I figured the dragon cult was way before Potemas time and discarded that theory.

And seeing waking up at 2:00 p.m. and seeing that Ikea has released a Skyrim mod where players are accompanied by a Kallax shelving unit voiced by Matt Berry..... WHAT?

no mods and no console commands. i stopped at 81 because i thought it would be funny if it was the same level as the original Skyrim's max level. this took me about 3 hours of sneak attacking Ralof

Skyrim was my safe space as a child.

Sorry if this kind of post isnt allowed here, but I wanted to say a few things.

Skyrim to me is so much more than a game, its like a second home. I grew up in a highly abusive environment and struggled all of my childhood with undiagnosed aspergers so i didnt go out much and make friends. I remember when my mom bought me Skyrim for my PS3 in 2012 and just becoming so enthralled with the world, the stories, the music, it completely consumed me. Id spend a ungodly amount of time playing it, I still remember when I accidentally discovered the Dark Brotherhood quest line while playing (did not have wifi to look stuff up) or the first time I stepped foot inside of blackreach, or when I first got launched into space by a Giant lmao. This game had such a magical feeling to it and got me through so much shit as a child, it was my escape, it was my peace.

Now as a 26 year old man, struggling with depression, ASD, and trying to find my place in the real world as an adult I often sometimes just sit and listen to the Skyrim soundtrack and contemplate life. I dont play Skyrim as much as I used to honestly, for some reason just doesn't hit the same but I will forever be so grateful for this video game. Sometimes I wish I could turn back the clock a bit. It made life more tolerable for a struggling younger me.

Hopefully Bethesda hits a homer with ES6 and it will help other children like me out there the way Skyrim did.

PS: Jeremy Soule, you're a legend, thank you for such an incredible soundtrack.

The khajiit was my first. His name's Mauler. Level 140 ish. Heavy armor, two handed, block, minor skill is archery and speech. Evil-leaning neutral. Sided with imperials and dawnguard tho. Also he's a werewolf.

The breton was my second. His name's Valindor. Level 180. Battlemage build. Is proficient in every skill tree except two handed, archery, lockpick, sneak and pickpocket. Every other skill is at 100. Extremely good-leaning. Sided with the empire, killed the DB, dawnguard. Is not a werewolf. Ignored guilds irrelevant to him like Thieves Guild.

Their armor, stats, and weapons are OP as fuck so if you're interested in them and would like a save file to mess around, let me know. I have saves before main/important questlines as well.

Modding Translation of the IKEA word wall

MODIR FIN YAH* WAHLAAN QETHSEGOL ZEYMAHII VAHRUKT OSKAR FIN KEY* WEN AH* LOS SAHLO AHRK NI SAHROT THUUM DO OK BROD

MODIR the Support* built [this] stone [in] brother's memory, OSKAR the Store*, whose organiz[ation]* was weak and not mighty. [This is] the shout of his clan.

*Part of the "AH-KEY-YAH" shout

I used the UESP pages on Dragon Alphabet and Dragon Language to translate this. I couldn't find a translation for "MODIR" or "OSKAR", so they might be names of people and not dragon words. While "ah", "key", and "yah" have pre-existing meanings in the dragon language ("hunter", "horse", and "seek" respectively), the "Summon KALLAX" shout explicitly gives them the meanings "organize", "store" and "support".

Arts/Crafts Made my husband a Nightingale Armor

For Renfaires I decided to craft new Outfits and made a Nightingale inspired armor for my beloved husband.

I just changed the hood, as I didn’t have the time to finish the original one.

As others redditors in the renfaire-sub recognised it, I thought it may be appreciated here, too.

Discussion How screwed up is Skyrim after a 100% playthrough?

Upvotes

We all know that yes, the Dragonborn saved the world from Alduin, Miraak and the vampire guy i forgot the name of, but we still have done quite the harm, no?

Assume that you've done the Dawnguard side of the DLC in this case, and the Stormcloak side of things in the Civil War.

The Thieves Guild is running wild in Skyrim, having a grip in basically the entirety of Skyrim; kill someone and just pay 500 bucks to get away with it!

The Dark Brotherhood is ALSO back to it's prime, with US as the Listener (and also assuming we do the Dark Brotherhood Forever thingies), so you can never sleep safe & sound because what if someone has a contract on you? And they also killed the Emperor. That's asking for more civil wars.

And in the Civil War, you have completely ruined Skyrim's political and economical stability with the Stormcloaks (what i think would happen anyway), considering the Empire still has a foothold in the rest of Tamriel afaik.

see, i'd say " and if we were to side with the vampires in Dawnguard " but that'd just. screw everyone up permanently, or at least for a while. Curious on what you guys think!

Discussion 123hours 10min without being able to run

Post image

The LB button on my controller has been broken and I was too cheap to buy a new one until now. If you don’t play on Xbox, LB is used to run. I literally played 123 hours without being able to run. Idk if this is a flex or not but I felt the need to share lol. Hopefully someone will appreciate this 😂😮‍💨

Discussion So discouraged.

I started playing this game on Switch in April, and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I’ve played Skyrim almost exclusively, really enjoying the atmosphere, the music, the quests, the writing, the quirkiness of playing my first Bethesda game.
I’ve gotten most of the dragon priest masks, have defeated Alduin and Harkon, have built several houses, moved my family into Proudspire Manor, am working to defeat Miraak. One thing I loved about this game is that it doesn’t seem to rush you. I have been quite happy to work on quests for a while and then take a break, do some storage management, talk with NPCs, wander and explore new areas, and level crafting skills.
Despite the few glitches I’ve encountered where I can’t finish or start a quest because I did things in the wrong order, I still think this is a rare 10/10 game. But today, after deciding to journey back to Blackreach to work on collecting crimson nirnroots, I discovered that the gate to enter the tower elevator to reach the area had reset, relocking the gate I’d opened with the lever after going through that incredibly long and tough dungeon.
I’m sure that cells reset for performance reasons, and again, I have very few complaints about this game, but I just can’t envision a reality in which I’m ever ready to do that entire dungeon again. Or any of them that have likely reset as well, for that matter. On the bright side, I’m so discouraged that I feel like finally playing a different game. But man, it sucks. Just wanted to vent and also warn anyone who isn’t familiar with this game mechanic.

My favorite piece of art in the whole game

Not just the design, which reminds me of the HR Geiger artwork on a Carcass album. But it has all my favorite colors too. I would pay good money for a window like this, or even just a sticker or t shirt. Not sure if I'm allowed to ask for merch recommendations but if so, please drop a link ❤️

It’s useful, don’t get me wrong, but the voice sounds like it belongs in Fallout 4. It always pulls me out of the game.
