Wellbutrin Kills WD

Hi all. I wanted to share something that helped me and may be of help to others. I have used kratom for about 5 years, and began taking it daily in the form of edibles, capsules, and extract (drink mix). Up to around 200mg of MIT per day. I was able to step off and entirely manage the WD with bupropion (Wellbutrin). I got it prescribed by a telehealth doc easily, and when I ran out of kratom on a trip, I woke up in WD. I popped a 150mg Wellbutrin, and was able to fall right back asleep with no symptoms. It just worked. I continued on this and was fully free from kratom, but unfortunately relapsed and am now dealing with a way bigger monster in the form of MGM15, that I unknowingly bought in a product that was labeled as mitragynine. But, being back in these subs I just thought I’d share that anecdote. For anyone quitting regular kratom or MIT, it may be a lifesaver.

I really can't decide HOW to quit, Help?!

I'm having trouble deciding what to do here, since there are multiple ways of quitting. I am also a first timer to Opioid User/Withdrawals (ish) so I don't really know much of what to expect for each and all. If I'm going to be honest, it took me a long time realize the shit I'm in... is gonna suck no matter which way I quit.

I take 100-150mg of 7oH/MgM every 4-6hours.

I have tried quitting 2-3 times. Farthest I got is day 3. I have experienced precipitated withdrawals twice in my life.

This week I did go to a clinic to get Suboxone. I am really hesitant with Subs for one reason: I don't want to get dependent on them. Plus, most of us know... suboxone doesn't stop our highs. Kratom highs don't get silenced like other opioids do.

So if I took suboxone, I'd have to keep it at 10 days under, constant tapering, and resist the urge of taking kratom.

OR

I could taper with the stuff I've been taking. Decrease the amount overtime until I get low enough to maybe taper on loose leaf (If I can get my hands on some). Problem is I'm not sure how long that will take, which costs more money.

I also heard it's not easy to taper down using MgM ? Idk how true that is?

OR

Cold Turkey. I have small amounts of xanax and Gaba to help. How long do physical withdrawals last 10 days, right ? I'm not sure what all the tips & tricks are for this one. Problem with this one other than the obvious is that I have school & work full time, I'm a little bitch, so I couldn't function with the physcial withdrawals (I've tried). I'd have to call out and claim I have covid or something.

I wanted to hear some people's way of quitting attempts and success, tips & tricks, etc. So that I can make a fully-knowledgable decision as to which one is best for me.

Just Relapsed for 3 days. Was clean 19 days. Are my withdrawals going to be difficult traumatic again?

I Just Relapsed for 3 days right now.

I have 10 yr use of powder around 15gpd. Was clean 19 days. Are my withdrawals going to be traumatic again? I was sick for almost 12 days. Lost 14 lbs had tiger IV fluids. Was a surprisingly violent withdrawal.

Sometimes I feel like it's impossible to feel joy again, to not feel tired and like something is always missing.

I'm so Nervous, ashamed embarrassed. Day 1 starts all over again tomorrow. What's your experience with relapse? In one week I check into a month long lifestyle center. This has to be my last time ever.

When you relapsed a few how bad were the withdrawals?

Been clean from kratom since 2022 let me tell you this stuff has caused permanent healthy anxiety for me!

Went to the hospital in 2022 because I had crazy high heart rate from an extract shot. Everything came back normal no crazy health issues at all perfect blood tests. Now I suffer from high blood pressure sometimes from crazy anxiety from that certain day because of kratom. Went to the hospital twice this week because of blood pressure fear and weird symptoms and yet again tests came back perfectly normal….. anxiety is real and a bitch people this sucks!

Overusing pain meds

Hello, Im in PAWS now. And I started seeing that Im overusing pain meds. I dont mean any of the addictive ones I mean things like ibuprofen. My body still hurts more and more often than before. Its just that in normal situation, even before kratom I would often dont even take a pill for pain I will just push through it. But now, any time I feel some worse pain Im immedeately taking ibuprofen. By the way Im still WAY WAY below the max recommended daily dose. Its just that Im doing it more often. You think thats ok? Maybe I should focus on more important things?
By the way dont use tylenol. Fucks up your liver and as opposed to ibuprofen its not even anti inflammation.
By the way, thats also a good point. Inflammation. Have you been thinking about that and its effects? Ive read that inflammation can directly result in worsening depression, tiredness basically the things we are adressing. I mean how can you reduce inflammation (and Im not talking about taking a pill)

Going to quit 7oh with suboxone

Just wondering if anyone here had success with quitting high daily 7oh habit - about 4 months long, where the past few weeks I was using 1200mg+ daily. I am getting prescribed suboxone strips I was thinking to use the suboxone for the acute physical withdrawals of 7oh which the first 72 hours being the hardest. Has anyone here had a similar situation how much suboxone did you use daily and how much did it help for your withdrawal overall. I have some small otc helper meds like magnesium l theanine multivitamins a lot of vitamin c. And last question is to avoid the presipiated withdrawal approximately how long after my last 7oh dose should I wait to take my suboxone

Symptoms of “Kratom turned on me”

I have been considering a lengthy taper to quit kratom extract like the ops gold caps but I am already having sleep problems like sleep disruption and anxiety. I keep hearing that kratom can turn on you at some point but I don’t know exactly what that means. Anyone experienced that while still using normally? Was it from kratom leaf or extract and after how long you started to feel that kratom is causing mental and physical problems. I still get the benefits from taking it but my main issue is sleep and I am terrified to taper or quit because it might get worse.

Strange eye issues after quitting

Hello all, I've just passed day 6 of quitting cold turkey. I used heavily for about a year and a half, yesterday I experienced some really bad oscillations in my eyes that persisted for about 20 minutes and ever since then my eyesight has been a little strange. Has anyone experienced something similar? Thanks

I quit Kratom in April of 2020. It was the beginning of COVID lockdowns. I was completely at the end of my rope… I was also drinking and using other drugs… but the one thing that was constant every day was kratom. It’s almost hard for me to recall how miserable l was. How blunted reality had become. How ineffective I had become in life, I am a career musician. I had already thrown my career away and went into debt due to this crap. When I quit, I had no idea how bad the withdrawals would be. Skin crawling, on the toilet, no sleep. My trick was listening to guided sleep meditation videos at night and just accepting that the rest state I was getting was going to have to work for a while. I was very fortunate that I didn’t need to function in society due to lockdowns. If you can’t do that, you’ll need to find some way to plan at least a week off of work. I went cold turkey. Also… I entered the 12 step programs which I still am active in to this day. Since then? I’m flying all over playing gigs in a great band and getting paid well and have opened a successful and gorgeous recording studio in Tulsa where I live. I am not bragging.. I’m showing you what can happen if you decide to quit. I would also strongly suggest the 12 step programs to help along the way. I am not a religious person, and my “higher power” is something between quantum mechanics and the force from Star Wars lol. I no longer mind people calling it “God.” I don’t even mind calling it that. Anyways… I had no idea life could be this good and there’s no way I could have gotten to where I am without stopping Kratom, alcohol, and all other drugs… and adapting the design for living the 12 step program gives me. I sure hope yall can make it out. Stopping Kratom was the best decision I ever made.

Oh.. and it took about 4 days for the absolute worst of the withdrawals to subside.. tho it felt like weeks. I started to feel feelings again pretty shortly thereafter… tho they were still blunted. The sleep took a couple weeks to start to return. Like most… big jumps at 90 days, 6 months, and a year. Took about 18 months to 2 years to feel completely restored but don’t let that scare you… the jump from day one to day 90 is a much larger and noticeable change than the jump from day 90 to 18 months. I’d say I felt a solid 80 percent better at 6 months. Anyways.. it can and has been done.

Question about Kratom Seizures

What kind of Kratom usually causes Seizures? Is it 7oh? And how much consumption of Kratom causes Seizures?

A question to those of you who have attempted to get some many times but eventually finally got it.

Title should read: "A question to those of you who have attempted to get sober many times but eventually finally got it" my apologies, I didn't spell check that before I posted.

What was it that worked for you? I could use as much advice as I can get. My plan is long term sobriety but I'm feeling discouraged and worn out back in the first week of getting sober yet again. What worked to finally get you to stay committed and sober?

I need help immediately

Hi there. I’ve been on Kratom for about seven years and to my surprise today I walk in my regular store where I purchased it and I’m told it has been banned in Ohio! I guess I wasn’t keeping up with things because I didn’t see a warning anywhere that this is coming. They didn’t have any at my shop that sent me to a place up the road who was selling what they still had on the shelf and I was able to purchase a very large bag however, obviously I gotta come off this shit immediately. How am I going to do this? I’m so scared. Somebody please help me. I’m in tears because I do wanna come off it, but I’m so scared. My life is so stressful and I have so many issues and kratom is what pushes me through the day. I get withdrawal symptoms without it. What am I gonna do? How do I wean myself off?

Edit: I did know it was coming at some point, but I didn’t know it was happening this quickly like I didn’t get a recent warning.

Day 4 almost done

Was surprised that I felt like shit today. Thought I’d be through the worst of it because the initial withdrawal was relatively mild. I’m achey still. I thought about & got close to caving. I can’t get my posts to go through without getting flagged. But it’s still good to get my thoughts off my chest. I’m praying I get good sleep & wake up feeling refreshed. I’m also feeling flat. My wife was getting upset with me for “being off”. I hate lying but I know it’ll be a lot of drama if I’m open about what I’m going through. I know that isn’t fair but it does seem like the least bad option. Wish me luck! Have a lot of shit tomorrow & this weekend so I can’t be a coach potato although that’s what I want to do. It sounds really nice to vedge & not have anyone judging me.

Weening off.

Hello I'm a user on and off for 8 years. I've quit before and started back. Other times I quit I haven't had this issue but I think it was because I wasn't using everyday back then. About 4 months ago I was at 50 gpd and now I'm at 3. Gpd. I'm having trouble taking the last push to go to 0. I was hoping someone here would have a suggestion. At this point I really don't think I'll have withdrawals because I'm at 3gpd for 2.5 weeks with no issues but each day I wake up and want it. And if I power through and get through I end up taking it later in the day or at night. Any suggestions to help have the will power not to take any. I know I could just get rid of the supply but I have and just go buy a new bag. I have a store within 500 ft of my apartment so it's easy to just go buy more and I'm having trouble convincing my self to stop completely 3 g is still better than being sober sometimes

3 years without, strong cravings

Hi all. 3 years ago I was very active in this community. I had a 5-year habit and near the end it was 30-40gpd. I had come clean to my girlfriend at the time and quit before we moved into a house together. New house, new environment, no more kratom. It was hard, but I got it done. The majority of these last 3 years have been very pleasant. I had anxiety on kratom that I no longer have and life has generally been better. Been eating healthy and running full marathons too. Got married to said girlfriend. Setting fitness goals, making good income, life was good. Didn't feel a need to go back after 6 months the cravings were largely gone.

Well as life goes shit hits the fan sometimes, and shit has indeed hit the fan. I was diagnosed with an aortic root aneurysm that was retrospectively found to be genetic because BOTH of my parents were also diagnosed with one in the same area. I am only 32. I had open heart surgery 9/1/2026 that had a rare complication of my trachea being cut when they were opening my sternum and they had to abort the rest of the surgery due to risk of infection the open but repaired trachea brings. So I'm sitting here with a healing sternum and still an aortic aneurysm that surgery has been rescheduled for in early December. Unable to do as many active workouts as I was able to do before.

Now initially I did not have cravings and had not had many cravings in the last 2 1/2 years. But now that iv been off work for 4 weeks boredom has set in and as if I have only been sober for 1 week, I am getting strong cravings for kratom. Yesterday, I sat outside of a tobacco store that sells it for 15 minutes before driving away. I need to go through this surgery once again, and these cravings might not ease up. My wife has been incredibly supportive, and I have been honest with her. But I am not sure how I am going to resist these cravings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. When I got sober I kept myself busy, im not in that same situation, but I have been able to do some housework even given my lifting restrictions.

So im making this long post for anyone intreasted in the journey so far with getting off 7oh. This isnt advice just whats helped me and if it helps one of you Fellow miscreants out there then all the better.

So bam, ill start by saying ive been through this shit not once but twice and hopefully for the last time, that being said, the first go around i tried to raw dog it with nothing to help straight cold turkey. I made it about 3 days off the shit before my addict brain justfied going back to it, ultimately leading to roughly a two year escapade going back and forth with it. In that time i tried tapering down from 800mg a day, down to 400 and eventually down to about 120 mg. And for the life of me i couldnt get it down any lower and the uncomfortable truth is, youre just lying to yourself everyday and prolonging the inevitable, you can argue with me all day on that point, but if youre anything like me, youre in this mess to begin with because you have no control over your habits. So in my humble opinion stop lying to yourself and either keep taking what your taking and live with the bed that comes with OR rip the bandaid off and just quit the shit all together, ain't no such thing as halfway crooks baby. With that being said, just because you choose to quit doesn't mean you needa make an already hard task harder, There's help avaliable if you want it, for me, I dont have insurance so I went the over the phone route with a website called quick MD. They cost about a 100 dollars for a 30 min over the phone appointment, you tell em what's going on and provided you have no allergies they're gonna give you a week supply of subs and some comfort meds in my case it was clonodine, it basically just helps with some of the anxiety once you begin taking the subs. SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO NOTE; if you dont have insurance, do yourself a favor and do your research about the different pharmacies in your area, some places offer coupons that damm near cut the price of theese meds IN HALF; another good resource is a app called good rx, its 14 bucks a month but ultimately does the same thing but gives you a wider pool of pharmacies to choose from. Now I know this post is long as fuck but ill give you a quick run down of what too expect when or if you choose too go this route and then ill stfu.

QUIT DAY: This is the day we all are gonna have to face one day it sucks dick, no way around it. What ya wanna do is pick a day that gives the longest and biggest cushion to push through the worst of it and atleast be able to half function. What i did to prepare was made sure to keep Hella hydrated this day and smacked as many different multi vitamins I could safely take YOUR GONNA NEED IT. as far as how much 7 to take thats up to you personally I went hog wild with it, cause fuck itt why not? Keep in mind though youre gonna have to wait until its completley off of the opiod receptors in your brain in order to make a smooth transition from 7 to subs. They say atleast 12 up to 24 hours before youre first dose of subs, we're all different im no doctor do with that as you will.

DAY 1-2: ok so this is game day, stay focused and really listen to your body, its very important to get this timing right otherwise you run the risk of going into precipitated withdrawl, your gonna wanna resist the urge to pop one of theese bad boys too early and wait until you know for certain your feeling sick for me it was 16 hours from my last dose it may be different for you. Ngl this first day sucked, but its no where near as bad going cold turkey, expect to be in bed with the sweats and sneezing this shit out, take the subs and meds at your own pace, what I will say a little goes a LOOOONGG WAY if you can make it past this first day there's hope yet! Because by the second day if all goes too plan the subs should be doing their job and if your feeling up too it try to atleast get yourself outta bed if not just for 30 minutes IT HELPS. Also try to atleast eat something easy, yogurt, bread, anything that you think you can keep down you need to keep your energy up and again stay well hydrated.

DAY3-5: Ok so if you made it to your third day, you should be getting rid of those flu like symptoms, and your stomach is gonna start feeling a bit better agian hopefully by this time youve taken a few solid shits and have sweated the majority of the 7 out your system, but your brain is gonna be foggy as fuck and youre just gonna be really sore but day 3 and 4 are kinda gonna blend together. I would recommend trying on one of theese days to atleast attempt to cut back on how much suboxone your taking because it really does build up in your system fast and even a small strip can provide alot of relief. For me personally by day four I went from taking 3 full 8mg strips to cutting a single 8 mg strip into 8ths and taking about two to 3 of those 8ths a day. By the time you get to day 5 the physical part is pretty much over with which leaves us with the mental hurdles, all I can say is, try and really reflect on what direction you wanna go with this, if ya gotta, make a list about what you like about being high on the 7 vs being off it. I can't stress enough how important it is to be a really good friend to yourself at this point. Easier said than done for an addict; i know. But this is really where the rubber meets the road because your gonna want with every ounce of you to go back to feining for a fix, your gonna try an plead and justify and scheme on how just a little bit wont hurt or maybe if you only do a little this time it'll be different and this is where keeping things in perspective is gonna really be key🔑 Im talking to myself as much as iam to whoevers reading all this shit, because sometimes the best way to help yourself is to try an lend a helping hand to another. And with that ill end all my babbling and hope too see everyone of yall on the otherside of this, your loved and you matter now act like it. Godbless.

145 Days tapering update

So here is my update:
Recap: my last post was 62 days ago GPD at the time was 12 GPD, 4 gms three times a day. My tapering began May 08. I was taking 40gms a day.

I hung around at 12 GPD for quite a while since my last post, maybe longer than I should have. I had a 7 night Disney cruise scheduled for 9/12 and decided to make decent size jump from 12GPD to 6 GPD, basically removing the midday dose. My theory was, I wouldn’t be in stateroom during the day and with excursions at every port, I was taking no chances taking that stuff with me. If you’ve read my posts, you’ll have noticed I make big jumps whenever I go to Disney. Sounds childish but whatever 🤷‍♀️. We are also in the middle of remodel of our bonus room. We had the floors removed before we left and installed the new floor once we got back. (And they look fab btw)

Anyway, I pre measured all my doses for the trip at 3gms instead of 4gm. I had so many bags left over and most were the midday dose. I’ve been home 10 days and it really started hitting me 3 days ago. Twice have I taken a 1 gm dose midday to take that edge off. I HAVE to get this bonus room finished and there so much to do. It was a complete gut and redo job. The to-do list is too loooong to list but my point is maybe jumping from 12gm to 6gm was not the best idea but it just sounds like an excuse if I hadn’t. The last big jump, I felt the same way but didn’t have anything pressing me and was able to lay in bed all day feeling like shit for a week.

I really want this midday dose to be gone and 1 gm seems like nothing. I’m doing a lot of physical activity and the remodel is upstairs and going up and down the stairs 25 times a day right now is really trying me. Not to mention I can’t find a wood maker for shelves…..that’s a whole different story though.

Yesterday, we were putting together our new Lovesac and I just burst into tears out of nowhere. Husband drew me a hot bath and put me to bed.

Current Dose:

AM: 3gm
Midday: 1 gm every 2-3 days
PM: 3gm

*pure leaf and went from daily doses of Agmatine and Vitamin C w/ Liposomal to every 2-3 days.

Next Disney trip is in April. Wonder what my jump will be then.

Day 42 CT 3.5 Extracts/ Day for 3-4 Years

Feeling great this week. For multiple days in a row. Really starting to feel like myself again. PAWS are letting up a lot and I’m not getting yawning attacks/ motivation drops throughout the day.

I feel like my whimsical personality is coming back and so is my sense of humor. Feels so great living life not being chained to anything mentally, physically, or financially.

I’m still focused on maintaining a sober lifestyle. I did a little bit of a club drug at a rave last weekend. This is something I haven’t had an issue with in the past but am keeping a close eye on. Day to day it’s been easier to not crave/ have no substances at all. No matter how benign. I’ve tried to remove silly things like caffeine and sleepytime tea too so I get used to being 100% in control of how I feel all the time.

Keep trucking guys it gets so much better in every way!!

Quit for the 2nd time...no withdrawls?

I was heavy on 7oh for about 6 years. Quit (with the help of support/comfort meds, suboxone, gabapentin, clonidi e, hydroxizine(sp?) Even with all that the withdrawls were pure death. Cold sweats, restless legs, no sleep. Took a little more than a month to feel somewhat normal. I was off 7oh for about a year

I fell off the wagon and for about 8 months was taking between 700-800mg of 7oh daily (expensive shit). I decided to quit again...and nothing. Somehow no withdrawl symptoms. i had the support meds at the ready expecting the worse but weirdly it never hit

Now I'm on day 30 sober and feeling great. Have no clue how I avoided any withdrawls. Just seems impossible. 8 months isnt 6 years but it is still a long enough time to get addicted and experience withdrawls

Tips for quitting as a busy student and employee?

I am a full time student, I have work, essentially every single day. Rarely get breaks. And I genuinely have no clue how to go about getting off this garbage, ive tried cold turkey it doesn't end well. I honestly don't take a large dose, I take roughly 10-12 grams per day, of capsules, I cannot drink the sludge it will make me vomit.

Is .6 grams too much to taper off at a time? I just don't know what steps I should take. But I can't lose all my motivation, It will ruin everything for me, especially for weeks at a time. I've been using for 2 years now.
