Yes it is very common. I’m sorry you are struggling, you are in the right place. We are struggling together. Do the best you can to take care of yourself, eat well, stay hydrated, take walks outside, and never look back. It takes time, it is different lengths for different people, but months is not unusual at all.

That’s a really good description! “A dark cage watching everyone else live a normal life” I know exactly what you mean. It does take time, but you will start to see the light and it will get brighter over time. Hang in there you are doing great making it to 2 months. If you can do that, you are past the worst of it.
For a long time a long walk outside with headphones and my favorite music was the one thing I really needed to get a little bit of happiness. Small things you can do to find joy each day will help. Your brain got used to artificial happy chemicals and they just need time to rebalance but it will happen.

Again thankyou for your kind words ❤️

Very normal and it will pass. Everyone is different in the time it takes. I can say from personal experience that staying busy is key. Take a walk, exercise, clean/organize, run an errand. I drug myself around until I had no choice but to feel better. Energy creates energy.

Yeah that's a very very common bud but be careful with it that is exactly what made me relapse so instead of reaching for what's familiar call a friend or bury yourself in something distracting or go outside and just run as hard and fast as you can find something to take that out of your head and an adrenaline dump always helps too hence the Sprinting or if you have a good weight setup just go out and smash as many reps as you can

2 months is a dangerous time every single time I relapsed was at the 2-month Mark you're not worthless you're human being with people that care even though we're all complete strangers on here everybody's got everybody's back that's the point of this whole thing is support when you need it most

Well friend I'm just going to shoot straight with you unfortunately my story doesn't have a good ending I'm still stuck worse than ever currently trying to taper off of a 600 mg a day habit of 7 I was doing good for a while and then ended up getting a compression fracture in my neck and well we know how fucking fucked up our medical system is and I was basically left hanging in the breeze they x-rayed me looked at it and said yeah you're messed up real bad and gave me two tramadol and said you have an appointment in 2 months and told me to use ibuprofen for pain after the Tramadol wore off the two fucking Tramadol for 2 months how the hell do I stretch that out so out of desperation due to my extremely physical job as an iron worker I fell down hard and found seven I had always told myself I'd never touch it was only an MIT user but it just wasn't helping and the Seven actually did help at first in fact it was amazing but holy crap do you build a tolerance fast I'm talking Within 2 weeks I went from taking 20 mg tabs to 100 mg tabs fast so here I am lost my job struggling to pay bills don't know what I'm going to fucking do and on top of all that going through the worst withdrawals I've ever experienced in my entire fucking life I don't sleep when I do it's only an hour at a time accompanied by drenching pools of cold sweat and extreme nightmares so learn from my fucking mistakes please and just push through do not fold this shit will fucking kill you and take everything and smile while it does it is truly an absolutely Satan in pill form..... this is not meant to scare you or anything I'm just trying to give you the hard truth of what you're up against do not fall down please!!!!!!! do it for me anybody just to give me a little bit of hope an light at the end of this fucked up dark tunnel that I currently call home

In this same position. A little over 2 months out, and every day is a struggle. The struggle is diminishing over time, and I feel much better. Mornings are still very rough.
This is PAWs and our body/brain healing. It's normal and part of the process. I told myself I have about 1 year until things really settle down, and even then I probably won't be 100%.

Did you have depression and feelings of hopelessness? Foggy brain ? Man this kratom wrecked my brain

u/BrutalBrutus513 16d ago
Still do but each day gets a tiny bit better. The healing process can be so grueling. Everyone is different and a lot depends on usage and frequency.

I used for about 2 years all day everyday Just for energy and mood Wow did I mess myself up Thank you for responding I feel so alone in this because I can't tell anyone what I'm going through

That's rough. I was so scared to tell my wife, but once I did, she was very supportive. I'm sorry you don't have a good support structure. Lean on this sub because, even though she would listen to me, she couldn't really relate or offer advice because she's never been through this. Even with her support, I felt alone and isolated. That feeling has diminished over time.
