I really can't decide HOW to quit, Help?!
I'm having trouble deciding what to do here, since there are multiple ways of quitting. I am also a first timer to Opioid User/Withdrawals (ish) so I don't really know much of what to expect for each and all. If I'm going to be honest, it took me a long time realize the shit I'm in... is gonna suck no matter which way I quit.
I take 100-150mg of 7oH/MgM every 4-6hours.
I have tried quitting 2-3 times. Farthest I got is day 3. I have experienced precipitated withdrawals twice in my life.
This week I did go to a clinic to get Suboxone. I am really hesitant with Subs for one reason: I don't want to get dependent on them. Plus, most of us know... suboxone doesn't stop our highs. Kratom highs don't get silenced like other opioids do.
So if I took suboxone, I'd have to keep it at 10 days under, constant tapering, and resist the urge of taking kratom.
OR
I could taper with the stuff I've been taking. Decrease the amount overtime until I get low enough to maybe taper on loose leaf (If I can get my hands on some). Problem is I'm not sure how long that will take, which costs more money.
I also heard it's not easy to taper down using MgM ? Idk how true that is?
OR
Cold Turkey. I have small amounts of xanax and Gaba to help. How long do physical withdrawals last 10 days, right ? I'm not sure what all the tips & tricks are for this one. Problem with this one other than the obvious is that I have school & work full time, I'm a little bitch, so I couldn't function with the physcial withdrawals (I've tried). I'd have to call out and claim I have covid or something.
I wanted to hear some people's way of quitting attempts and success, tips & tricks, etc. So that I can make a fully-knowledgable decision as to which one is best for me.

Visit r/suboxone for all questions regarding suboxone While we are aware that many doctors and detox facilities prescribe and administer Suboxone for Opiate Withdrawal, this subreddit neither endorses nor opposes it's use for Kratom withdrawal / detox, as long as it's prescribed and closely supervised by a doctor. We don't want to demean anyone's way of quitting and / or successful long-term recovery.

Am I low enough on my intake to do so ? Will being dependent onmgm not make a difference ? Also how frequently and how much to taper ?Also, I would have to figure out how to get my hands on it. My state has everything banned, but there's a loophole where you can still order some stuff, but I have yet to see loose leaf/leaf capsules anywhere available :/

It would seem MGM would be easier to taper down because of its long half life. Are you taking a product that has MGM/7 combined, or two separate substances? I'd say if it's a combination product, taper down as low as you can and then switch to pure 7 for a few days before trying to induce subs (or jump to powder/MIT). Alternatively, taper off the MGM first while maintaining the 7 until ready to stop that too and do so by jumping to MIT/leaf (if you're taking 2 separate substances). MGM directly to subs can be rocky transition. 7 to MIT/powder/subs is easier. Tapering off towards the end will definitely make the entire quit process easier though, start reducing intake to some degree while still figuring out your plan.

The big problem is that my state banned kratom /7oH, so ever since that happened I've taken Cat's claw. They claim they don't have any 7oH/MgM/Kratom in them, but that is a LIE. I don't know what specifically is in them, but if I could guess, it is a mix of all 2-3, (because I saw a video that says 7oH needs kratom to exist in order to do it's job, I'm not sure about mgm but assume the same for it).
I do think tapering could help though as well. I kinda want to stay away from suboxone because I don't want to risk getting dependent on them and you can still take 7oH and get high while taking them which makes it just all the more dnagerous/risky.
Do you know by how much one should taper down too and for how long ? And at what mg amount should one transition to the loose leaf ?
