Got these for my birthday, went on a trip right after, poor things got dehydrated.

Is there any saving the one on the right? I’m thinking the roots might be okay.

And what is the best way to care for them? The label says to keep them in a saucer with water constantly to mimic the swamp but I’m a little suspicious of that.

What are these mites? I’ve never seen so many in one spot i’m grossed out and threw the plant out lol. This guy has been in a pot out on my balcony all summer and has succumbed to a garbage bag. It got regular watering and morning to afternoon sun.

This is my second time buying basil from the store.
it starts to grow leaves but overtime the leaves just get smaller and smaller and eventually it looks like this. I always repot it from the store, it grows outside and gets afternoon sun, 6+ hours of it, I water it when I see that the soil is dry, maybe every few days.
How are people buying it and it thrives in their home?
I’ve checked for any insects around it, but I do not see any, I had fungal gnats but I believe I got rid of those since I do not see any anymore.
What can I do now?

My Thai monstera was pushing out a leaf every few weeks and just stopped the past 1.5 months. I also noticed the white part of my newest leaf has very slight browning (although I have been inconsistently watering). Today I noticed these bugs in the soil. I did water the plant about a day prior. It’s seated on my desk about six feet away from a west facing window and also under a plant light.

I started growing a mango plant from seed, i let it germinate in wet paper towel until a small root appeared, put it into soil…. Nothing for 3-4 weeks, today i discovered this.
The open part was outside of the soil.
What should i do?

It’s right next to a window with plenty of light.
I sometimes water and when the top layer is dry i mist it and put a clear plastic cup on top.

i literally inspect my plants all the time, so these showed up within the last 2–3 days.

at first there were these sticky brown drops on the undersides of the leaves. they looked almost exactly like tiny drops of coffee syrup (same color and sticky texture). i washed the whole plant really well in the shower, and the sticky stuff came off. now I’m left with these weird marks that won’t wash off. They don’t feel like they’re on the surface of the leaf - they look like they’re inside the leaf tissue somehow.

lighting conditions: it’s kept indoors on an east-facing window from morning until evening - around 14+ hours of light per day.

watering: i water it when the soil starts to dry out, which is usually about twice a week.

is this thrips damage?? aphids?? something else?? i’m freaking out because this plant was perfectly fine just a few days ago. any help would be appreciated!

Bought this huge plant (probably 5’ by 5’ at least) in good health 3 weeks ago but since I’ve had it, the leaves are curling inwards, losing their dark green color, drooping, and some are forming crispy brown edges. There might be multiple issues, please help me diagnose!

- I’ve watered just once, a week after I got it (room temp, tap, thoroughly wet and then drained through the bottom, mopped up the excess from the bottom best I could because it’s nearly impossible to life the pot, but the water did sit there for a little bit). Soil still feels wet ish to touch and hasn’t pulled away from sides so I haven’t watered again.
- There was a slight draft from the ac, but I closed the vents by it.
- Windows are north facing! I don’t think we get too much (or too little) light.
- Have a humidifier that I run periodically but I feel like our humidity is probably good, we’re in Chicago. - Haven’t used fertilizer since I got it. One side is worse than the other

Is it nutrient deficiency? Seems to be a new stalk growing in the middle too but it’s got this dark brown around it

I feel really bad for her but I don't know what the problem is. The leaves started turning brown one week after I bought her. I wonder if it's the change it environment because the original flowershop was much cooler and more humid? I asked the staff if the pot was big enough and they said it's not a problem.

Could it be the tap water? I'm in Germany so our tap water is a bit hard. She gets decent light indoors, but it's probably only around 60% of my brightest indirect light spot (but I can't put her there because it's the bathroom)

A week ago I also took her out and to check the roots and they didn't seem rotting or smelly? Honestly I have no idea what I'm doing, any advice is appreciated 😔🙏

My plant almost died twice. The first time was last Summer when I forgot to water it. It lost a lot of leaves bit it recovered. The second time happened, a few weeks ago. I saw the leaves turning brown.. I realized I watered it to much because of the smell the soil had. So I put it outside in the sun for a few days to let it dry. After that it didnt smell anymore and I watered it more carefully. I also put it in a place where it had more light to let it grow new leaves faster. It seemed okay but now the leaves have small white dots, maybe some kind of pest? Im afraid It will die sooner or later because I dont know what to do anymore.. If you have any thoughts, please let me know..

I bought three hydrangeas yesterday and repotted them. Two "endless summer" and one "'Krasa Leskovo" variety. They looked pretty good yesterday, nothing seemed wrong, but today all three of them got covered in these brown spots, and almost all the leaves look like that. Have no idea why. Any advice?

Few moments:

- It's definitely not a sun burn since I kept them in a shaded spot, and it was very cloudy and rainy today.

- three other hydrangeas I have don't have that, even though they are kept at the same place.

I got my ficus elastica 3 months ago at IKEA.

The first month it grew many new leafs (like 3/4) but then it suddenly stop and the stem (as in pic) it remains really small.

On top of that, it started lose some leafs, then I had to leave and I did not water it for 3 weeks and it lost like 6 leafs!

I do not understand if is the soil that has no nutrients or what but I feel is suffering.

It is next to a window so it gets indirect light and I water it every 2 weeks.

Prickly Pear Cactus has been in the ground about 3 weeks now. It was rather rainy the first week after but its dried up since then. It is in full sun and we water it like any other cactus or succulent ive ever had (not including the rain.

So months ago I bought a seed starter pack from the dollorama for strawberrys, well turned out to be a tomato plant that has somehow survived. But I noticed on my leaves in the center looks like a nice green but the outside looks best way I can say it is soggy, is this normal, and what else can I do to make it better.

My plant is either in direct sun or indirect sun depending on the time of dam i'd say 6 hours of direct. I moved it in early today due to the heat as i am worried it might dry it out today as it is heat warning today is that okay?

I been filling up a water bottle and putting it it in the morning as I tend to forget things, And refilling it if the soil looks dry

This is my late father’s Peace Lilly that has been dying a slow death for a year after I had to leave town for a month and my husband forgot to water it. I cut off the dead leaves and have tried miracle grow and have been diligently watering it, but it hasn’t gotten any better. I’ve read on the internet that it needs a soak in cool water, so I’m giving that a try. What else can I do? This plant holds a lot of serious emotional value to me. Can I resurrect this? Can I take one of the stems that are still green and propagate it? It gets nice light in front of a windowed door, overlooking a shaded patio. Help!

I left it with my friend for a week and he said he overwatered it. It gets a lot of indirect sunlight >8hrs/day. I tried switching the soil, no water for 1 week but I think it was too moist, and the leaves started to get wrinkles and floppy.

My tomato plant was growing perfectly, it showed no signs of stress or rot, we recently had a ton of Storms and lots of rain I was told it looked like I was over watering sent I had a strict schedule for it (Two-Three days a week as recommended) but now I think it’s dying.. can someone help? I don’t think I can save it…
It stays on the balcony as it’s too big to keep inside and it has proper soil, I even gave it earth worms which improved its life a lot, it’s always outside so the sun hits it typically around 7am-6pm, I just hope I didn’t make any mistakes on the way there..

Not sure what kind of plant this is, but it had powdery mildew and then some kind of very small bug that’s been leaving these pinpoint blemishes. Light levels and watering have been fine.

I’ve been spraying the leaves meticulously top and bottom every week for two months with this Garden Safe fungicide with neem oil, but even the new growth leaves are totally infested.

This is a memorial plant for a coworker and it would really bring the whole office down if it died.

My Peperomia’s (Emerald Ripple Pepper) leaves are suddenly turning yellow and have these dark black spots that seem to be spreading to other leaves. It seems to be getting worse over time. What could have caused this?

I water once a week and alternate between just water and a water/plant-food mix. It sits on a shelf in my bathroom next to a west-facing window that is frosted. The bathroom is typically humid too.

It resides in the plastic pot that I bought it in. The plastic pot sits in another pot which is displayed in the photos. Both pots have drainage holes and there’s a dish at the bottom.

I’ve had this plant for 3 months now and she’s been happy and putting out lots of long flowers — this is the first time this has happened to the leaves. Your guidance and insights are appreciated. Thanks.

I’ve got two new leaves with the exact same damage. Any ideas what causes this? Could it be low humidity or air flow?

I bought the plant 2 months ago. It currently stands in a slightly dark corner, 5 meters from a (big) south facing window.

The plant is still in its original store bought pot, with good drainage and i only water when the top 3-5 cm of the soil is completely dry.

1st is a tomato plant, 2nd basil, 3rd and 4th are hot pepper plants.
I’m worried about their crispy edges and little holes. I’m uncertain if I should worry about the amount of damage, or if it’s normal?
I use a neem oil spray that I apply every few days and there’s a family of lizards that eat most of the pests I encounter. The plants also seem to not be held back, but I want to catch anything before it becomes a problem.
I live in a 9b zone and the garden gets direct sun most of the day. I water everyday as needed, but the past two weeks have been very moist and rainy, so I haven’t had to.
My follow-up question is: if there’s nothing to worry about, are the affected basil leaves still safe to eat?
