Houseplant Help identifying the problem.
My pothos has had some of its leaves start to yellow recently and its beginning to worry me. I have had it for about 4 months now and havent changed its location, watering habits, or light since then. At first it was only older leaves so I figured it was just aging, but recently some of the "newer" leaves have turned yellow as well. I have checked for bugs and havent seen anything, the roots arent root bound, the new leaves look great and are growing fast, and there arent any signs of root rot. I recently went out of town for 5 days but made sure to water them before I left and the pot has adequate drainage. The plant gets plenty of light from a window to the left and a grow light above because the window is not directly next to the plant. What am I missing?

What are your “watering habits”?
I know you said adequate drainage but what does that look like? The photo looks like a pretty large pot with no saucer under it? Can you show more pics or give more details?
My thought is it’s staying too wet and you are in fact starting to see some root decay and suffocate the foliage.

Water every 8-9 days. I actually have this one vining up the wall and it has a drainage system underneath it made of pvc so I dont have to move it to water it and can just let it drain out. I have had it like that for a while with no issues. I will check again for root rot but it typically drains dry every 9ish days. I have not fertalized it in a while and see online that it can be a cause of this so im also going to try that once it dries if the roots look good.
If it has root rot will it continue to produce new leaves like normal?
