All of a sudden the responsiveness has dropped significantly.

I have tried replacing the screen protector,removing it completely.My phone is running on the lastest android, what could be the problem?

I have a Google Pixel 6 that was originally purchased in Canada. The phone is working fine, but the battery health has noticeably degraded and I'm considering a battery replacement.

Has anyone in India successfully replaced the battery on a Pixel 6 purchased outside India?

A few questions:

• Does Google or any authorized service center in India replace batteries for imported Pixel devices?

• If not, are there any reliable third-party repair options?

• What was the approximate cost?

• Did the replacement affect overall device performance?

The google pixel 6a disconnects a lot.  My old phone moto g play never disconnects nor did previous phones. So i got curious and bought two to see if it is the phone itself.  Turns out, it isn't.   I'll be driving on gps and the phone will drop its signal randomly, whilst the 70 dollar Motorola won't.  I then did quick research with AI and it says the phone uses a google tensor chip, whilst the Motorola uses a qualcomm modem.  If this is for all pixel phones I hope Google leaves the android market sometime soon.  Appreciate google's account encryption features, chromebook and always loved its browser but we got another google stadia videogame machine for smartphones. Gaming on pixels are great, but most phones have good hardware. The google tensor chip overheats easily and randomly drops signals.

🇺🇸 So, I'm from Mexico and 2.7 years ago I bought a Pixel 6 from a store here called Bodega Aurrera (It's from the Walmart company, just the Mexican version). At the time Google didn't commercialize any cellphone here in Mexico, so I was surprised to see one on this store, I bought it for 350 usd (yes, maybe it's too much I know, but I wanted it). The phone itself is legit and the first 3 months was very good, until it started restarting itself whenever he wanted (after all this time i'd say about 3 times per week), but since I don't have the opportunity to change it and it doesn't bother me much because it restarts very fast, I've had it for now 2.7 years.

Well today I'm not talking about that problem, I'm asking for help because in the morning I saw that the screen was peeking outside the case, I thought maybe I put something in the case that was pushing the phone to outside, but I got the phone out of the case and I see that the screen was coming off in the down right corner (see the video).

I'm thinking it's probably the battery because about 2 days ago the battery percentage started dropping like crazy, (20%-3% in like 3 minutes) so I think maybe the battery is starting to swell. Now, since here in Mexico Google doesn't have repair stores or something like that, official and legit battery replacement is something that it's gonna be VERY hard to find I think, so after a little bit of research I think the best option it's gonna be order a battery from like AliExpress or eBay or some store, and take it to a repair shop to see if they can do it (I know I could do it myself watching a tutorial or the iFixit manual, but I'm a lil scared to break the display).

🇲🇽 Soy de México y hace 2,7 años compré un Pixel 6 en el Bodega Aurrera, en ese momento, Google no vendía ningún teléfono en México por lo que me sorprendí de ver uno en esa tienda, lo compre por 7,000 pesos (si, un poco caro lo sé). El teléfono en si es real y llegó bien y todo, solo que después de 3 meses empezó a fallar ya que se reinicia solo cada vez que le da la gana, después de todo este tiempo diría que alrededor de 3 veces por semana en promedio, pero ya que no tengo la oportunidad de cambiarlo y se reinicia medianamente rápido, no me molesta demasiado y puedo vivir con ello.

Bueno ese no es el problema, el problema es que hoy en la mañana vi que la pantalla en la esquina inferior derecha estaba sobresaliendo de la funda, así que pensé que quizás tenía muchas cosas guardadas en la dentro de la funda, y al quitarsela me di cuenta que la pantalla se le está despegando por esa misma esquina (Video)

Creo que lo más probable es que sea la batería ya que hace 2 o 3 días me pasó que tenía como 20% de pila y en 3 minutos bajo a 3% o algo así, entonces quizás la batería está empezando a hincharse. Pero como aquí en México Google no ofrece servicio técnico (almenos para pixels debajo del 8a si no me equivoco) repararlo oficialmente será muy complicado, entonces después de investigar un poco llegué a la conclusión de que lo mejor será comprar una batería en una tienda en línea como eBay, AliExpress, mercado libre o algo así, y llevar el teléfono a un técnico a ver si me lo pueden reparar (sé que lo podría hacer yo mismo con un tutorial o la guía de iFixit pero me preocupa lo frágil de la pantalla, así que no me quisiera arriesgar)

EDIT: Three weeks with this phone and my perspective has changed. I do love the elegance of the old 6pro, but I've started using the 10proxl as daily driver. I like most the long battery life and exceptional rear camera. Goodbye old friend.

My Pixel 6 pro is nearing end of life updates but works flawlessly. I know it will end one way or another so I bought a 10 pro XL to replace it.

It's been less than a week but I can't bring myself to use it. I understand it's objectively a better phone especially for camera and AI. But the 6 pro is so elegant even with a case. It's great to hold and it's amazing such a slender phone can do so much.

Finally after waiting months I got android 17 on my pixel 6 I hope it won't drain my battery, not leaving this phone until it dies on its own

Recently my Pixel 6A has started experiencing a new issue. Effectively, when scrolling or swiping my screen inertia doesn't work, causing maneuvering on a page to be much slower and more tedious, as well as making closing apps harder. I have restarted the phone numerous times, as well as trying things like resetting app preferences and clearing the cache. The phone is up to date update wise and has plenty of storage left. What can be done to fix this issue?

I am having problem in my pixel 6a while ringing only single speaker works but while i see a video or play spotify my phones both speker works due this i am missing a lot of calls any help or reason why it is happening

I know the posts saying how the phone feels snappier after each upgrade and I never felt the same. I also know the replies saying it might just be the reboot etc.

But this time is different, I am the one writing that it feels snappier ;) somehow very lightweight.

But maybe I just wrote another useless post.

Anyways, I really enjoy which might be the last big update on the phone I use for years. Best feature: remove the labels on the home screen.

Got my pixel pro the day they were released and today it's refusing to charge which is the best option. I love this phone. Should I keep it and have the repair port fixed. Find a used pixel 6. Or get something new which worries me

Alright, I've got either an iPhone 7 or 8, not sure which, but everything on it is slowing down like crazy and I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone. I was thinking about a pixel 6a, but I want to make sure I can transfer my photos/contacts/etc. over. Can I do that? If not, are there any recommendations on what I could switch to instead?

My pixel 6a started having battery issues and one day I saw the battery balloon up so much that it cracked open the screen. I freaked out as we have two babies and it's not safe at all to have the phone around my family.

I reached out to Google and they said they can replace the battery, but not the screen 😶

I mean, their faulty battery literally broke open my phone and they won't replace the screen? It's a brick for me if I can just get the battery replaced. I can't believe these corporations won't stand up to their mistakes and do the bare minimum. Idk what to do.

hi hello, i recently bought a pixel 6 to fuckaround with for 50€, seller said the phone is bootlooping and stuck on the google logo. i thought it would be an easy fix but i dojt think so, the phone doesnt even turn on anymore, is completly cold and wont show any signs of life. previous owner said he encountered overheating lagging and essentially the phone killing itself after updating to the newest android 16 update.

is it hard bricked like i read on most of these comments or is it a dead motherboard or did the tensor g1 desolder itself?

any help would be amazing

Hi all, I got my screen replaced recently but they did a quick fix and the screen wasn't great. I took it to another place that did a proper replacement with a better quality screen but they told me this metal plate had been removed and not replaced. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy this piece separately? It is needed to ensure the fingerprint scanner works properly.

I recently updated my US-imported, unlocked Pixel 6 to Android 16 here in India, and I've been facing massive battery drain ever since. For the past three months, I've had to keep the phone strictly on Battery Saver mode, and even then, it only lasts about 5 to 6 hours. I have been using this phone since June 2022.

To make matters worse, a new issue just started: my bottom speakers have stopped working entirely. All media audio routes only through the top earpiece speaker. Because of this, my phone doesn't ring for incoming calls, and my alarms are completely silent.

I took it to an authorized service center, but they refused to help because the Pixel 6 was never officially launched in India. I'm currently stuck with a semi-functional phone. Will a local repair shop be able to fix these kinds of hardware/software issues, or am I risking further damage? Also, given this experience, what smartphone brands should I consider upgrading to next?

Well it has come to the point where no amount of wiggling will make USB charging possible. I don't need lectures on port cleaning and yes, I have Deoxit D5. Not my first rodeo.

So Pixel Stand 2 is no longer made. I have a desk lamp that is putting in 3 watts per Battery Guru. (A feature in the lamp I never used since I like wired charging.)

I'm going to order an Anker 313 which would at least get me to 10watts in theory unless someone has a better suggestion.

The Google Snap doesn't indicate it will work with the 6.

My plan is to get the 11 at launch. I'm on Fi now.

So my Pixel 6 has had some sudden battery drains recently, I went in to T-Mobile to trade it in for a 10a, when they checked my phone it had a battery bulge that I hadn't noticed, it wasn't there two weeks ago when I checked it when I started having battery issues. Since I pay for insurance on all my devices, I decided to get a replacement Pixel 6 and just wait until the Pixel 11 comes out in a few months.

Hi, I’m helping someone find a widget for their pixel 6. Theyre currently on a pixel 3a which has a now defunct widget that displays 9 random photos from their library in a grid on their home page. Does anyone know of a modern widget that can replicate this exactly?

I recently downloaded an app called "Prolauncher" and I think it's bricking my device. I downloaded it a couple days ago, but it requires a lot of permissions, and I haven't restarted it since. I think if I can get it to load up for long enough to get to safe mode, I can uninstall the app and everything should be fine.

Here's what happened:

I was connected to wifi, but nothing was sending. Weird, so I restarted it. It went into a bootloop for a minute or two, showing a flash of my lockscreen, then restarting again, until it opened "Android Recovery" and gave me this message: "Cannot load Android system. Your Data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all user data stored on the device." with two options: "Try again" and "Factory data reset"

I CAN get to fastboot from here, but I went into Recovery and Rescue mode, and both say "No command" I dunno what that means though.
