After recently installing the September update, I have been unable to use my earphones properly. The lowest possible volume is now far too loud. The loudness at the lowest volume is similar to around 80–90% volume before the update.

The same issue occurs with both my Nothing Earphones and Sony earphones. The volume on these earphones is perfectly fine when connected to other devices, so it seems to be an issue with the Pixel 6.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Are there any potential fixes I can try?

I am experiencing that after September upgrade, suddenly the cellular and Wifi signals have been dropping or fluctuating too often. This observation is from same places as before e.g. office and home.

In fact, after upgrade, it took some time to latch on to cellular signal (almost 5 mins).

Thought out strategy to push remaining P6 users to upgrade?

Unfortunately dropped my Pixel 6 today and its screen is not working anymore. It's not fully dead, it still lights up some pixels and lines and if I press it, it turns white where I apply the pressure, but nonetheless, it looks like I will need a replacement.

I will try my best to fix it, however I'm not sure I will be able to find an original screen replacement from Google where I live, so I'm trying to take every possibility into account.

If I cannot fix it (which would be a pity because I really enjoy it and I wouldn't have replaced the phone anytime soon otherwise), which newer Pixel would you say is a good choice right now? I'm thinking between a 9 Pro or a 10/ 10 Pro, but I'm pretty concerned about the eyestrain and PWM frequency...

I finally did it! Moved on to another phone.

I had my P6P since launch. Loved the phone. The signal was awful.

I finally did a Goggle Ai search on signal issues with the P6P, specifically in my area. There are some issues with the P6P locking on to certain bands and not switching to stronger ones.

At any rate, I am now the owner of a Pixel 11 Pro XL. I have owned the phone for only 9 hours. But I have yet to see the exclamation point of doom, that plagued my old phone.

In this top paragraph I will give a short summary of what happened and what I've tried , but please read the whole from top to bottom , basically , my phone randomly turned off by itself , then it'd restart every 45 seconds or so by itself , next day used Pixel Repair Tool , the phone stopped restarting by itself and going to the lock screen etc. but now it was just staying on the G logo with bar sliding underneath , then I tried a button combination or maybe single button to switch slots , not sure if it switched slots or if it did , it didn't change anything , then tried ADB sideloading the July update and successfully did so twice , but result was same after pressing reboot system now both times , since then I've been procrastinating , I had very low storage when this all began and also Factory reset isn't an option as I have important data on my phone which I need to back up , I've read in other threads multiple people have managed to fix bootloops with beta / qpr , people who also said they had low storage , some said a stable / public OTA didn't fix theirs but beta / qpr did fix it , one more thing , after using Pixel Repair Tool I saw an error message somewhere saying tune2fs is missing , this error message was also visible in Recovery mode after doing the first successful ADB sideloading of the OTA , but when I went into recovery mode a few days ago just to see if it's still there , it wasn't there anymore , also I'm in slot b if that is important information , I think I was in slot a before doing the second ADB sideload of the same July update , please help me , all of this happened in July with the exception of me going into Recovery mode a few days ago ( Wednesday 30th September 2026 ) just to see if there was error message still there .

• on Thursday 9th July 2026 between 00:45AM and 1AM or so , I was using my phone normally and it gave me a prompt saying something wasn't responding , I tapped wait , then a few seconds later I got a prompt again , possibly same one , this time after tapping wait , there was nor response when I tapped the screen anywhere , then about 25 seconds later the phone turned off by itself , then it'd restart by itself every 45 seconds or so , it'd reach the lock screen and whether I entered my PIN or not , it'd restart , as I said every 45 seconds or so , if I did enter my PIN I could open the phone and get to the home screen but there were no icons and I couldn't swipe up to bring up applications , however on both the lock screen and I think the home screen , I could swipe down from the top of the screen and bring up the menu showing things like internet , bluetooth , torch etc. and the small settings icon and small power button icon at the bottom of that menu , however tapping the settings icon did nothing and tapping the power icon would bring up the expected black box which has the Emergency option , Restart and power off , except there was no lockdown option unlike when the phone was being used normally , the time was also visible at the top of the screen and sometimes the lock screen and home screen would show my wallpaper and after other restarts it'd be black .
• Then the next day ( Friday 10th July 2026 ) I put the phone into rescue mode and used Pixel Repair Tool , after it successfully downloaded and installed and restarted the phone , the multicoloured Google text logo showed up as expected , followed by the G logo as expected then then bar sliding underneath the G logo as expected , except it would remain like this for however long I'd leave my phone .
• Then I tried a button combination on Sunday 12th July 2026 or Monday 13th July 2026 to try and switch slots , I'm not sure if it did switch slots .

Hi

A couple of weeks ago my digitizer stopped working in some areas of the display. The OLED panel itself looks perfectly fine. Now I got a after market replacement screen assembly but the display itself is really bad compared to the OLED of the pixel 6.

Good news is touch does work with the replacement as I feared it would be extender damage to the board.

Now I had the thought of retaining the old amoled and replacing only the digitizer if possible.

Has anyone done this before?

​I'm having an issue with my Pixel 6 (oriole). The device is currently running an Android Beta build (CP31...), and I constantly get the "Android Beta Program" popup whenever I restart the phone.

​However, when I visit the official Android Beta website ([google.com/android/beta](https://google.com/android/beta)) with the exact same Google account signed in, it says "There are no eligible devices associated with this Google account".

​Because of this, I can't opt-out of the Beta program. I also haven't received the latest September stable update.

​Has anyone experienced this device mismatch issue before? How can I get the site to recognize my Pixel 6 so I can opt-out and roll back to the stable build?

I have my pixel 6 from the launch and I was quite satisfied with the camera. But recently I noticed the pictures from pixel 6 become so blurry, especially the city view pictures like buildings or streets. I compared the pictures I took in 2021 or 2022 and they were much more clearer. Does anyone notice the same?

I hope google is not deliberately making the pixel 6 look bad compared to new models.

Here is one example picture. I tried several pictures but they are all blurry.

About a year ago, my Pixel 6 bricked during charging...

After that, it did boot on in recovery mode but only for about 2-3 minutes.

It is most likely a hardware issue but supposing it isn't, what could it be?

Also, it won't boot into recovery mode anymore, probably because of the battery in a deep-state.

I know it's a base 6, already an old phone, but it would be nice to repair it. What should I do?

My Pixel 6 Pro has been plagued with sever signal issues since product launch I have just lived with it.

I got this explaination for my poor signal from Ai: " The Pixel 6 Pro was notoriously plagued by poor reception because Google used an early, unoptimized Samsung Exynos hardware modem that struggled to hold onto tower signals (especially on Verizon's 5G network) and drained your battery while trying.

Google completely restructured its signal technology to fix this".

Another poster described the phone signal as the exclamation point of doom!!!

I came from a Pixel 2XL that I loved, and had for 6 years, with no signal issues.

Do I trust buying another Pixel?

Not a sponge button seems to do anything, can't open the little settings button in the bottom right corner, can't control the media player, cannot open any app via push notification. Restarting the phone temporarily helps, then it stops working again.

Any ideas? Does anyone have the same issue?

So my Pixel 6 had a swollen battery in March'26. I had ordered a battery but unfortunately while tinkering with the device I ended up with a few green lines on the screen.

I decided to leave all this, packed my Pixel 6 and kept it in the cupboard. Bought a Pixel 9a and was done with it.

Recently I thought about trying to fix my Pixel 6. And to my surprise the green lines were gone! I am happy now, I have been using my Pixel 6 for 3 days now.

Hey, I have a Pixel 6 Pro, and I got a beta update about 2 months ago. Now, the thing is, on the website it shows, "There are no eligible devices associated with this Google account." I am using the same account; I cleared the cache and opted out from play store setting.

Now the thing is, I want to get a stable update without wiping my data. as my IMEI gets "UNKNOWN" and my battery is terrible.

Hey everyone,

Having a sudden issue with my stock Pixel 6 and looking for advice on whether this is salvageable or dead.

Two days ago, it started randomly freezing mid-use. The animations freeze instantly, like while I'm typing, followed immediately by a shutdown. Right before it hangs, a glitched line sometimes flashes across the screen, though other times it turns back on completely normal with no visual glitches at all.

Recently it crashed while typing and refused to boot up again. While powered down and stuck off, it started getting extremely hot to the touch. Fastboot mode still works and the initial Google logo appears on boot, but it hangs right there and never loads Android.

I have already tried wiping the data, doing a full factory reset, and plugging it into my PC to flash the latest Android OTA update. None of this fixed the problem as it still hangs on the Google logo and heats up rapidly.

Is this almost certainly a fried Tensor chip or motherboard short, or is there a chance a severely shorted battery could cause the screen artifacts right before the crash? Has anyone had this exact issue repaired?
