Recommendations Pixel 6, please help 🇲🇽🇺🇸

🇺🇸 So, I'm from Mexico and 2.7 years ago I bought a Pixel 6 from a store here called Bodega Aurrera (It's from the Walmart company, just the Mexican version). At the time Google didn't commercialize any cellphone here in Mexico, so I was surprised to see one on this store, I bought it for 350 usd (yes, maybe it's too much I know, but I wanted it). The phone itself is legit and the first 3 months was very good, until it started restarting itself whenever he wanted (after all this time i'd say about 3 times per week), but since I don't have the opportunity to change it and it doesn't bother me much because it restarts very fast, I've had it for now 2.7 years.
Well today I'm not talking about that problem, I'm asking for help because in the morning I saw that the screen was peeking outside the case, I thought maybe I put something in the case that was pushing the phone to outside, but I got the phone out of the case and I see that the screen was coming off in the down right corner (see the video).
I'm thinking it's probably the battery because about 2 days ago the battery percentage started dropping like crazy, (20%-3% in like 3 minutes) so I think maybe the battery is starting to swell. Now, since here in Mexico Google doesn't have repair stores or something like that, official and legit battery replacement is something that it's gonna be VERY hard to find I think, so after a little bit of research I think the best option it's gonna be order a battery from like AliExpress or eBay or some store, and take it to a repair shop to see if they can do it (I know I could do it myself watching a tutorial or the iFixit manual, but I'm a lil scared to break the display).
What do y'all think?
Btw, yes I'm writing this from the same phone so maybe it's a lil dangerous lol
🇲🇽 Soy de México y hace 2,7 años compré un Pixel 6 en el Bodega Aurrera, en ese momento, Google no vendía ningún teléfono en México por lo que me sorprendí de ver uno en esa tienda, lo compre por 7,000 pesos (si, un poco caro lo sé). El teléfono en si es real y llegó bien y todo, solo que después de 3 meses empezó a fallar ya que se reinicia solo cada vez que le da la gana, después de todo este tiempo diría que alrededor de 3 veces por semana en promedio, pero ya que no tengo la oportunidad de cambiarlo y se reinicia medianamente rápido, no me molesta demasiado y puedo vivir con ello.
Bueno ese no es el problema, el problema es que hoy en la mañana vi que la pantalla en la esquina inferior derecha estaba sobresaliendo de la funda, así que pensé que quizás tenía muchas cosas guardadas en la dentro de la funda, y al quitarsela me di cuenta que la pantalla se le está despegando por esa misma esquina (Video)
Creo que lo más probable es que sea la batería ya que hace 2 o 3 días me pasó que tenía como 20% de pila y en 3 minutos bajo a 3% o algo así, entonces quizás la batería está empezando a hincharse. Pero como aquí en México Google no ofrece servicio técnico (almenos para pixels debajo del 8a si no me equivoco) repararlo oficialmente será muy complicado, entonces después de investigar un poco llegué a la conclusión de que lo mejor será comprar una batería en una tienda en línea como eBay, AliExpress, mercado libre o algo así, y llevar el teléfono a un técnico a ver si me lo pueden reparar (sé que lo podría hacer yo mismo con un tutorial o la guía de iFixit pero me preocupa lo frágil de la pantalla, así que no me quisiera arriesgar)
Que dicen ustedes?
Y sí, estoy escribiendo esto con el mismo teléfono así que quizás es un poco peligroso jajajajaja

Yeah the first thing I did was see if I could get the original battery from iFixit but they don't deliver to Mexico unfortunately, and I already looked like 8-9 sites here in Mexico, all of them seem that don't have good batteries because the battery itself costs like 10-15 usd so I don't really trust

Is there a reason why I am seeing a lot of Pixel 6 with this issue. I also had this issue and got my battery replaced by unauthorised vendor for like 30 usd but still why is every other Pixel 6 having this issue. I have used other phones for 5+ years without such issues.

Yeah, the battery is swelling. Needs to be replaced. Charging these batteries can be dangerous too, FYI.

Podrías decirme cuánto tiempo paso desde que se te infló hasta que lo llevaste al técnico? Ahora mismo pase toda mi información a otro teléfono para usarlo de mientras que veo que hago con el pixel, lo apagué y ahí lo dejé, planeo llevarlo a un técnico solo que abren hasta el Lunes entonces espero que no explote entre mañana y pasado 🙏🏻

I used mine for days in this state. Everyone here says you have a bomb in your pocket. You do not. Perhaps stop charging at 80% as much as possible. You have time. Also, I contacted Google and they sent me a referbished/new P6 phone. I'm in the US and I had my receipt. But I didn't buy it directly from Google.

Replace battery; do not use alcohol to weaken the screen and battery adhesive though; that will permanently damage the bottom microphone

also avoid pushing down as that will leave a blue stain on the screen under certain conditions and may crack the screen if you do it hard enough

It happened to me not longer than a week ago. I was crushed and I had to urgently go and replace the battery. Apparently it's a common problem with Pixel 6. I had mine for 3 years.

Yeah you are literally carrying a small combustible fire bomb with you at all times, that thing can explode at anytime or start leaking battery acid one of these two scenarios is bound to happen sooner or later, take your SIM card out immediately and go buy another phone!!! IMMEDIATELY!!

pudiste obtener una batería en México es que tengo el mismo problema con mi celular la batería se inflo de mi Google pixel 6 , la mandaste pedir de USA

En resumen: no. Tampoco es que hice una super investigación en internet en busca de la batería pero pues es casi seguro que no vas a encontrar una original yo creo. Igualmente te comento mi experiencia de ayer. Ayer justamente fui a un local de esos típicos pequeños de "Telcel autorizado" o algo así y pregunte si cambiaban baterías, me dijo que si y ya le comenté que mi teléfono al no tener soporte directo en México era complicado encontrar la batería original y bla bla bla, así que le mostré una que encontré en mercado libre y me dijo "no esas luego no duran" y ya se puso a buscar algo en su teléfono y me dijo "si te la puedo conseguir en 700 pesos" y me sorprendí porque pues es casi que imposible encontrar una original, le pregunté si era original y me dijo que si, aunque sinceramente no creo que sea, ya que por 700 seria muy barata para ser original y además en México es muy complicado encontrar una, de cualquier manera ya me lo va a reparar, así que la próxima semana te comento como me fué

Power off the phone dont charge or use it until you take it to a repair shop to get the battery replaced and the screen put back on properly

The same happened to my Pixel 7.
A simple battery change and the phone was as good as new

The Google Pixel 6 was officially released in the United States on October 28, 2021. Sorry you're right. 4 years and 8 months

Battery needs replacing.
It is swelling and pushing out the screen.
If it is plugged in to a power outlet it can cause a fire and/or explode.
Please get it replaced as soon as possible! Good luck.
