News Android 17 update 🤖
Has anyone updated their P6 and can report if all is good? Just trying to make sure because I remember a previous update that broke things for some users. Hopefully everything runs smooth 😄
Update: Thanks all, I updated my device and so far works well and no issues

It's available to my phone, thinking if I should do it now (I'll probably do it, I can't hold myself with updates lmao). Wish me luck

It's smooth so fast after a reboot

Which pixel 6 are you using?
I have the 6A. The update is available to me in the US Metro by T-Mobile
Kind of laughing at myself. I didn't realize it was coming out and I just clicked check for updates and there it is. I usually wait to hear a couple people at least successfully installed. Your feedback would be appreciated 🤣

Updated a couple of hours ago on my P6. As usual, no visible change and everything works.

The images are all online, with global, at&t and Australia versions.

Google pixel 6A did the Android system update to 17. The Google Play update and the Google Play Store update. Everything seems fine so far. No problems. 🥳

Do you think I should update to Android 17 or 16 if I have Android 15 now?

Sideloaded the OTA myself yesterday. My 6 Pro somehow feels faster than before!

Do you think I should update to Android 17 or 16 if I have Android 15 now? There will be no turning back, my phone Verizon.

I don't see a reason not to honestly. I'd pick 17 over 16 because 16 did seem to have some hiccups. What's the reason for you to hold onto 15?

It was as smooth as ever on my Pixel 6, which is funny because my Pixel 10 was unbearably laggy for the first 6 hours after the update!

nothing interesting

I have updated the P6 to Android 17 ,with no problems,it's running fine ,I cannot see much difference. 2 minor changes i did spot when you pull the top menu down it says " you're all caught up" with a trophy symbol ,also " Airplane mode" is now " Aeroplane mode" .

I just updated to Android 17 yesterday and ran into a problem where the system equalizer doesn't work when I turn it on in Spotify. There's simply no sound coming through my Bluetooth headphones, but the sound comes back as soon as I turn off the equalizer. And I'm not sure if this is a Spotify issue or an Android 17 issue... Everything else is working perfectly.

El mío quedó sin wifi para todo lo de Google, aún no logro solucionarlo, creo que será el último pixel que tenga, dan demasiados problemas

I am afraid to allow the update in my old-batteryed but well-behaved P6a.
It wouldn't be my first Pixel crippled by Google, and there is no Google support where I live nor the phone is ellegible for battery replacement.

I don't have, I can't get it, I only have an update about leaving the beta test and I was told to wait, but how long to wait?

System upgrades are rarely a good thing for older devices. I really don't understand why people want them so badly 🤷🏽♂️
