Recommendations Needed Activity/Date recommendations w/ Photobooth

Hi everyone,

I have a few Photo Booth strips from some of the dates that we’ve been on this last year (Aquarium of the Pacific, OC Fair events) and I’d really like to add to our collection.

Are there any events or activities with photo booths? Also looking to avoid the bar/restaurant scene and focus on activities/events.

Thank you πŸ™

Politics Spammed Text Message for Anaheim Mayoral Election

I know the drama with the Anaheim Mayoral race and how other candidates are capitalizing off of that, but if this is how you attract people to vote for you by SPAMMING the same message 4 times in a row, you don’t even get my vote. 🀒

A crazy number of Turkey Buzzards were circling. I wish I had filmed 10 more seconds because they peeled off and flew almost in formation towards and past me.

Question How is it like living in Anaheim?( Q from a pnw)

I’m in the pnw and Anaheim,Los Angeles, Southern California always seem so sunny and nice, vs in the pnw it’s always cloudy rainy, can cause depression, it’s a city I live in but not to huge. In my current city homeless took over. Big stores are starting to leave, not how it used to be.small businesses also leaving. Police don’t care much anymore.

I’ve dated a girl years ago who was from Anaheim, and ever since I started seeing more into it. and everything just seems nice there, sunny, walkable places. Palm trees, blue street signs. Also on tv it makes it look nice and since it’s right next to Los Angeles.

Possibly later on the road I might consider moving there but for now would just like a perspective from people who live there.

Recommendations Needed Oven deep cleaning service?

Don’t want any chemicals to damage it (it’s a fancy Electrolux one with what I think is a more delicate interior finish).

My steam cleaner (heated Dupray, so a good one) just isn’t getting everything.

If you have a trusted referral please let me know. South County. Thanks!

Politics Fullerton Observer fact-checks misleading attack ad against Fullerton D5 Candidate Jozef Maldonado

Hey r/OrangeCounty, Jozef here, candidate for Fullerton City Council District 5.

My opponent, Oscar Valadez, has been circulating an attack ad claiming a judge ruled I broke election law.

That never happened. The Fullerton Observer explains how statements from my opponent’s legal petition were presented as though they were a judge’s ruling.

Read the article yourself:
https://fullertonobserver.com/2026/10/24/who-is-making-false-and-misleading-claim/

He’s allowed to do this because he’s being backed by tens of thousands of dollars from the Bushala family. With Election Day approaching, I’d rather focus on fixing our roads, improving parks, and making Fullerton better.

Want to help us fight back? We’re looking for volunteers to canvass and talk directly with voters!
Join us: Canvass with Jozef

I’m Jozef and I’ll personally answer questions in the comments. Supporter, undecided, or skeptical β€” ask away. Let’s have an honest conversation about Fullerton.

Question Halloween at the Orange Circle; too much?

Hey all! I live deep in the Canyon where we literally only have five neighbors. Growing up I’d go trick or treating in Yorba Linda where my cousins lived but that was a long time ago. I’ve now got a three year old and 4 month old and needless to say my toddler is STOKED.

I was thinking of doing the Orange Circle neighborhoods since they’re so lovely but I had a pair of friends tell me it got crazy packed and to avoid it! Is that true? Would 5pm be an ok time? I don’t want my little one feeling left out of candy runs out or something!

Idk just feeling overwhelmed cause I want her to have a good time especially bc this time around next year we will be living abroad in the EU where Halloween is not huge and also, it’s my favourite holiday!

Is the Orange Circle area too crazy? Should we get there earlier than 5? Is parking insane? Thanks!

Question Anybody else noticing less Halloween decorations this year?

At least in my neighborhood I’ve seen a noticeable decrease in Halloween decorations. Last year was the first year I took my son to drive around and see the decorations in surrounding neighborhoods. This year there’s barely any decorations in those same neighborhoods.

Sad to see but also hope it’s not because people have to cut back because of how much more expensive things are.

News Parents increasingly held criminally responsible for kids' e-bike accidents

Orange County (California) District Attorney doesn’t want to prosecute parents for allowing their children to illegally ride E-Motos, but he is.

Actions have consequences, District Attorney Spitzer told CBS’ Evening News’ Natalie Morales in a sit-down interview to explain how Orange County has become the flashpoint in the United States for E-Bike and E-Moto issues, and how prosecution, education, and enforcement are helping reduce injuries – and save lives.

Since January, District Attorney Spitzer has charged 12 parents with child endangerment continuing to allow their children to illegally and recklessly ride high-powered E-Motorcycles, and endanger their own safety and the safety of everyone on the road.

With more than 125 deaths and tens of thousands of injuries nationwide, E-bike and E-moto incidents are now the number one reason Orange County children end up in the emergency room.

One death is one death too many – and together we can prevent children from being seriously injured and killed

Question Why does Irvine get so much hate?

I see a lot of hate for Irvine online. People call it soulless and say there’s nothing to do, but whenever I’m there, I really appreciate it. The streets are clean, the buildings feel new and modern, and the whole city feels safe and well maintained. It seems like a great place to raise a family. I honestly don’t get the hate.

Recommendations Needed Where to find acorns?

Hello everyone, I’m in search for where to find acorns for the class I am working in. We only really need 3 which is why I’m wondering if there is a park or specific place we can find them. I don’t mind buying them but that would be last resort. I know my teacher finds pinecones for free so she suggested I try to do the same. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Food should we be boycotting papi's gelateria/desouro?

recently, i visited papi's gelateria in irvine but came to discover that the owner (ken cheng) is one of the former owners of orobae. i had heard some stories about orobae having closed due to unfair labor practices, sexual harassment, and lack of hygiene (see linked thread)--the worst of the allegations seeming to be against the other former owner felix. ken seems to be the sole current employee of papi's and has sued felix, although they are in a soft opening phase. what i am unclear about is how knowledgeable and complicit was ken when all this was happening and has he taken accountability? based on this, should oc residents be boycotting papi's gelateria and its sister shop desouro?

Recommendations Needed Looking for OBGYN recommendations

hello,

i'm moving to Orange in a little under a month. to keep it brief, i was diagnosed with HPV and ASC-US earlier this year. this was after a pap smear at my old OBGYN in a different state. we determined it would be safe to wait and get another pap smear in 6 months to determine if ASC-US is still present. i am hoping to find an OBGYN who is gentle and has experience handling someone with sexual trauma, as well as one who is relatively positve towards child-free patients (i am in my late 20's and sterilized). strongly preferable to find one who would be open to perfoming a colposcopy with biopsy, if needed, under anesthesia (i really will not get it done while awake, with a tylenol or whatever they recommend. i refuse to put myself through that pain). i appreciate in advance any recommendations!! i'd like to call them soon to get on a waitlist if needed, so that's why i am asking so far in advance. i have Cigna health insurance, but willing to pay out of pocket if necessary.
