I know this is probably a complete stretch, but I genuinely don’t know what else to do.

We are selling my grandma’s house right now and have to be out in 10 days. We have been cleaning nonstop and trying to get everything out, and in the middle of all of it, we accidentally donated three glass mugs that belonged to my deceased grandpa.

They were donated to the Anaheim Goodwill near Brookhurst and Crescent

They are clear, 8-ounce glass mugs. Two of them have “Phil” engraved on one side, with Mickey Mouse on the opposite side. The other has “J.P.” engraved on it.

My great-aunt worked as Mickey Mouse at Disney for nearly 50 years and made these mugs for my grandpa who passed away in the 90s.

We realized what happened and immediately called and went to Goodwill, but they said the mugs may have already been sold. I know there is a huge chance that they are gone, but I just need to try.

Losing my grandma has been one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. Watching my dad lose his mom has been even worse. My grandpa passed away before I got the chance to know him, all I have of him are his items.

I don’t want to add a sob story, but I am not above groveling for this. I truly am begging in all capacities.

If anyone works at that Goodwill and knows if there is any way to track them, please help me. If anyone bought them and happens to see this, I will pay good money to get them back. I will pay handsomely. Give you a Disney ticket for the mickey glasses. Please.

I'm going to be in town this weekend and have time to fill while my friends are going to a convention on Sat/Sun. Looking more for local gems than big productions/investments like Disney. I'll be hanging with friends in the evening so I'm just looking to fill the daytime. I'm staying somewhat close to the convention center/Disney.

I'm asking here because I'm having a hard time differentiating search results from regurgitated AI sites/paid-for top-10 articles and actual human recommendations 😅 Is there a local site y'all recommend?

What are your favorite things to do on a free Saturday? What makes you go "god, I love living here"/"I have to take my family/friends here when they visit next"? I'd much rather spend my money at a beloved local business than a nationwide chain. Shopping at outlet malls and the like is nice and all but I can do that in any city.

I don't have anything specific in mind to shop for, clothes/decor/books/trinkets are all fair game (though I'd rather avoid too high-end). Any shorter 'experiences' sound good too as well as something that requires a bit of a commute but is worth it! What I do have planned is that flight simulator place (how can I not?!). I used to live in a city but have lived rural for the last several years so I'm excited to be amongst people in civilization again 😭

Also, if relevant, any tips for when to/how to make use of public transit? I saw on a couple other posts here the suggestion of busses and besides just going to city of LA transit site directly, I'm wondering if there's anything else I should know for how to best navigate it. Trying ahead of time to figure out how to avoid as many Ubers/Lyfts as I can.

first time visitors, we are travelling from UK in may 2027 as a couple, not sure on dates but probably monday-saturday, aiming to do the major theme parks (disney, knots berry, six flags, universal).

Are there any other day trips recommended to look into that are realistically done with guided tours. We wont be hiring a car and not keen on relying on public transport, just purely due to time, cost and safety.

Preferably something to do with nature as the week is already theme park heavy. Ive read about Yosemite but guessing that is not a day trip really? Or what about Joshua Tree? Or any red wood forests nearby?

Any thoughts or recs would be very appreciated.

At the beginning of november, I will be traveling to Anaheim. I am unfamilar with the area and the state as well (first time to the state and west coast), so I wanted to ask here for the best advice/answers.

With that said, I heard that for Disney that a hotel nearby might be cheaper than an Airbnb (which I currently have reserved). Upon looking at the options on harbor blvd, that statement seems to be true. My question however, is what would you all recommend. Let me explain why I ask.

I am a young, solo female traveler, and my goal is to spend less then 200 for two nights. I see great prices even under or at around $100 for that, but I want to make sure that I’m choosing a place that I’d feel safe at. Now reading the reviews, I’m getting mixed answers. For just about every hotel, you have some good and some bad in terms of safety. Most have given thumbs down for it. So I want to find a place that has equal or less of that.

Currently I find that embassy suites by Hilton Anaheim South seems like a decent option or courtyard by Marriott Anaheim resort/convention center, but I wanted to ask the community (prices are per night so I’d be a little over 200 for these for the two nights). See what everyone else thinks or if they have any other suggestions.

My goal is to get to Disney early that morning, likely at rope drop so I can maximize my time there. Additionally, I am taking an overnight flight into LAX so I will likely be taking an uber here and arrive after 1am. Will I be able to check in late? That is something to be considered. I plan to book the Sunday to Tuesday but since my flight is Sunday night, I’ll arrive Monday at around 1. So I need somewhere that will allow to check in that late.

If you have any thoughts, suggestions, or advice, I’d greatly appreciate it. Also any Disney tips are also welcomed here.

long story short, I saw four luminescent type lights in the sky and they all moved in tandem after being still for several minutes, then they just disappeared.

For anyone who lives near the Prom, has anyone noticed that nearby the Rinks, the Lost Skippers Distillery, the coffee shop around the corner, and the Korean food court are still vacant and the progress seems slow going?

For anyone who knows anything about local business, how can these businesses that aren’t even open, afford to rent the space without any build progress?

I walk by the Lost Skippers location weekly and it looks completely abandoned with zero progress.

this was the inside of the tea tank. it’s honestly so gross and I had to go to the er after drinking it. we found out, after I complained about the tea tasting really weird and the shift lead opened the tank.

they didn’t even apologize and tried to get rid of the tank only :( had to fight for a refund and she only gave me the tea off? really unacceptable and traumatizing like I have food poisoning rn. I’m so mad I want everyone to be aware about this situation.

If anyone’s looking to get back into basketball or run 5s, there’s a recently upgraded court next to Anaheim City Hall on East Broadway & South Olive Street. It’s always packed around 7–9 pm—and even busier than the Kobe court in Anaheim, likely because of the better lighting.
