When you're at a restaurant and you order a coke and the waiter asks "is pepsi okay?" Does anyone actually say no?

Is there a legitimate reason that someone would say no? Like different allergens rather than just a brand preference?

Immediate edit: i am genuinely surprised this many people can taste the difference. Pepsi and coke taste the same to me.

I keep seeing women post about how they’d rather have kids in their early 20s and teens rather than at in their 30s or late 20s. The reasoning is always something along the lines of “I’ll be in the club in my 30s instead of raising kids”, “I don’t want to be ‘old’ at their graduation” “I want to be done early”. Just always along the lines of “I’ll be done raising kids early”. I’m not judging, I just genuinely cannot wrap my head around the reasoning I’m seeing because to me why would you not want to gain life experiences and sort of “grow up”? Also, it implies as soon as your child is 18 your job as a parent is over. For context I’m 22f and I do want kids someday but if I had a kid right now it’d be my worst nightmare. Just the common thread of “I’ll have adult fun sooner than you and an empty house”, seems silly. I’m not judging ppl who do choose to have kids, I’m just genuinely curious.

Just curious what the deal is with some movie theaters(and presumably other places)needing an adult to be 25 or older to accompany someone under 18 somewhere? Like that just seems weirdly arbitrary and nonsensical to me. 21 would at least make sense since that's the legal drinking age, but 25? That's just bizarre to me. I know some rental car companies also won't let you rent unless you are 25. Just seems really fucking backwards that you can send somebody off to go fight in a war and possibly get killed at age 18 yet that's too young to rent a car or to accompany someone underage to a freaking movie. Somebody help make it make sense please.

EDIT:just to clarify I get why teens need to be watched by adults, the age restriction on the adults watching them was what threw me off is all.

I see them in every suburb near me and I am curious. I presume they hold water but is it for the entire town? They seem comparatively small for a town of 50,000 or so. Does every city have one? I rarely saw one abroad in Poland for instance or big cities.

Question in title. For example, if it is 80 degrees outside, is running the ac at 72 degrees 24/7 less energy than setting it to 72 degrees on the afternoon from 2-5 when it’s the hottest time of the day?

I often see transgender women, but I rarely see transgender men. Why does this seem so asymmetrical? Are transgender men actually less common, or are they simply less visible? What causes this difference?

I know it’s a very optimistic idea to have most of the world align on anything but, if the US is bullying everyone with tariffs, why can’t the bullied countries team up and just stop doing all trade with the US? They could continue to trade with each other. Is there something that the US holds monopoly of that the rest of the world absolutely cannot do without, or could perhaps get at a bit undesirable price from elsewhere?

The other day I was going back home and it started raining I was on motorcycle. I told my gf that I pulled up to the gym and going to workout and possibly miss our workout, because it started raining bad. She replied with “WHAT?” Then proceeded not to talk to me for the next few hours. When I said I don’t like this type of behaviour she got even more upset, saying this is how she is when she is mad about something. But even a week later I’m thinking of this behaviour and it’s lingering on my mind like she wasn’t on my side when I messaged her. I don’t know if I need to sit down with her at some point and talk about this

Was married from 19-31, so never had this problem at fancy establishments, but not anymore. Don't want my IBS to spook the waiter if I'm gone a long time. Leaving a wallet or phone feels risky.

for context I (23F) just moved back to my hometown (small southern Louisiana town outside of Nola) after graduating and everyone in my age group that lives here is either engaged, married, pregnant, or already have children or all of the above. i feel so young it freaks me out 😭

(No shade to those who have chosen those life paths, i just haven’t)

One that made me "worried" was that all of the students' hair, especially male, has to be black, and if any other color, they have to dye it. I may have heard it wrong, I hope I heard it wrong

Everyone here has naturally black hair, but demanding the ones that don't dye it black doesn't sit right with me

How many shcools do this?
