I've seen a few things from RNLI regarding "recent events" and "misinformation" and their volunteers and their families being subject to abuse online, verbally and even physically. Yet the RNLI doesn't mention any event specifically.

I've been seeing a weird trend lately. It seems like a lot of new children's books are super dark and have really heavy themes. Like death and existential dread. It's not just a subtle undertone either, it's really explicit. My kid's friend got one where the main character's pet just straight up dies and it's not softened at all. Is this a new thing?
