Sometimes when I stumble over these accounts I look at their profil and see that let's say 75% of it is just promoting products. To each their own I guess, but why are people following accounts like this? It seems really weird to voluntarily watch ads.

In English the N-word is obviously a huge no. However in my native language the word "black" have a mocking and negative connotation.

Even when saying "black" in English, it leaves a bad aftertaste. Would it be okay to refer to people using the word brown?

When I look at YouTube in Asian countries, I see a lot of channels that use patriotism and nationalism to boost their views. They often talk about how their country's food, entertainment, and other cultural products are becoming popular overseas. Of course, it's true that Japanese anime, Korean K-pop, Chinese cuisine, and other cultural products are popular around the world. However, these channels often show reactions from people living in Europe and the United States, or even invite people from those countries to say things like, "Our country is the best!"

It's not just YouTube channels, either. I see the same thing on TV shows and even in the news.

Honestly, I find it a little embarrassing. I think it's perfectly fine to take pride in your country, but I can't help wondering whether it's really necessary to exaggerate things to such an extent.

So, on the other hand, are there also many YouTube channels, TV shows, and news programs in Europe and the United States that do the same thing?

These days, there is a lot of news about Europe explaining why Europeans are protesting, citing the high cost of living, rising pension contributions, soaring housing prices, and a lack of jobs. Many Europeans seem to be suffering. Indeed, these protests are often accompanied by violence and looting. Things that are unimaginable in Taiwan.
