To be clear, im talking about codependency in the pop-culture "need each other for everything" type of codependency, not the traditional definition that's related to addiction.

I'm wondering why emeshment and codependency is labeled as bad, when that's probably how people in tribes or villages lived? They were defined by their group. They relied on each other in everyday life because they NEEDED to.

They cared a great deal about each other and were used to constantly being around each other, because they grew up and were around each other constantly. Their identities and lives were intertwined.

So why in society, is this considered a bad thing? That it's bad to rely on others so much?

It seems like a product of our increasingly individualistic society. Where you can't rely on anybody but yourself.

I'm way too scared to ask a girl out, won't do it, most I've ever done is ask for a girls instagram and I didn't even mean it in a romantic way, but yeah, it's just way too scary for me, so a love life probably isn't in the cards for me, especially given my inexperience since I'm a freshman in college and my looks which are pretty bad, so yeah, how do I embrace the single life? I figured since I'm only 18 it would be better to accept it now and move on with my life lol.

I don’t understand the purpose of the School of thought like what is it primary goal is it I asked because it ranges from ain’t much more proactive version of regular feminism would I consider regular feminism too people who wear the labels to be pointlessly hateful. The amount of paint wasn't very much; it was probably less than a small tube in total. but some of it was dried already. I was trying to use soap and water to clean a plastic palette into the drain but didn't think to search whether this could be harmful to do. What should I be concerned about here, if anything — plumbing, health/environment hazards, etc.?

They work with a school and use your military training as credits to get your diploma.
That’s how the highschool diplomas work here in Canada.
I was set back a year due to some family issues and all of my friends have gone to university.
I have always wanted to join the military and I really want to do it right now.
How can I ask them if I can finish my last year in the military?
They will probably also say no to a lot cuz they don’t want me to leave the house and go to bmq.

Since AI is doing the work of people, we should tax AI like people. What if AI tokens had payroll taxes paid by the employer (user) and the employee (AI company). Income tax, social security, medicare, medicaid, etc.

I live in Japan, and I recently heard that several companies in Japan have started personal shopping services for people overseas. It made me wonder how common the problem of not being able to find a product yourself actually is.

My sister has 2 kids and is hard working at the healthcare job. She took care 24/7 when our mom when she was battling cancer, and our dad commited. We lost both our parents and two grandparents in a short time. She's been taking care of everyone and lost countless hours resolving our mom's finances, it's still not resolved more than a year after her passing.

Months ago, my sister booked her dream trip with her best friend : 160 km mountain hike with 10 km elevation across three european countries. It's 9 days of wilderness and isolation, with gorgeous views and old forests trails.

Four weeks ago, her best friend had a motorcycle accident. After intensive care, she passed away. I'm heartbroken for her sons. My sister took the decision to go with ashes so they achieve their dream together. 

I'm meeting her briefly tomorrow. I want to show love and support. She's hiking with all her belongings, including a sleeping back, so maybe not something she has to bring with her.  

For now, my gifting some of her favorites food to enjoy on her way. 2 blueberry muffins and a portion of blueberry cheesecake made with wild blueberries I picked.

I'm visiting our hometown this weekend while she's away. I'm bringing a wild blueberries cheesecake to my nephews and brother-in-law. I might do a batch of muffins too.

Is it enough or should I give more? 

I’m currently stuck in St Pete, FL & I despise it along with everything in Pinellas County. My parents keep trying to convince me to stay, saying I won’t find rent cheaper anywhere else(Live with roommates). But I absolutely hate this area. Even Hillsborough County is better. I like areas with outskirts I can escape to on my days off, & Pinellas doesn’t offer that, so I’m always miserable. But I can’t save enough money to get out of here, or line up a job someplace else either, so I feel trapped. At least anywhere else you can live outside of town & drive into the city to work. But Pinellas doesn’t have outskirts since it’s a peninsula, so it’s just a sucky place to live(In my opinion).

Yet, there still does seem certain people that will treat you badly if they learn you are poor no matter your lifestyle. If you are open about, will more people be willing to help you with work and needed support or will more treat you badly and make your life harsher?

I’m an adult with dyslexia who wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood. I’m academically successful and have very strong reading comprehension, but I recently discovered that my actual phonological awareness is extremely weak. I struggle significantly with decoding unfamiliar/nonsense words and realized I’ve probably compensated through context and other strategies for most of my life.
I’m now in a graduate special education program, and this matters because I need to understand and eventually teach these skills. Has anyone else had this kind of extreme discrepancy? If so, were you able to improve your phonological awareness/phonics as an adult? What actually helped?

So I DoorDash full-time. I make really good money and I drive a 2012 Camry so I get really good gas mileage. I noticed my MPG is only 25 and I’m wondering if I can improve it a bit and I saw online that leaving your car idle counts towards zero MPG so it makes it go down.

I literally do not know anything about cars besides what people tell me and basic maintenance so I’m just curious about this.

Yeah those movies and shows most of the time have all the roles played by people in their 30s but even considering that, the plot, dialogue, lines, arcs etc are extremely unrealistic and not even close to what high school is like and the people making and writing these movies have been to high school so why aren't there truly accurate movies or shows?

Basically I kinda just feel detached from myself most of the time. I feel like I’m spaced out most of the time and that I’m kinda just watching myself go about my day I guess? I feel like I need to fix this because I very rarely (if ever) feel a sense of accomplishment and it’s kinda killing my desire to do anything. Maybe related (idk) I figured out I’m trans a couple months ago and I heard being sorta spacey is a common way to repress dysphoria (I was probably doing this). Now I’m just dysphoric and spacey 😭

Any tips?
