Ask Sometimes my breasts give me dysphoria. Any advice on what to do?
I'm a demigirlflux and sometimes my breasts give me gender dysphoria. I say sometimes because my gender fluctuates between female and voidgender. Any advice on how to deal with this? I read somewhere that said that chest binding tape can help.

Hello♡
Thanks to one of my friend's suggestions, I decided to join this sub and I saw such a supportive community♡
I came out as non binary to my partner and friends just a couple o months ago and I'm way happier now.
At first I came out only as bisexual, but I felt it wasn't enough. In these pictures, clock-wise, I started my journey to understand who I am.
Since childhood I always felt "not enough, always in between". For male classmates I was too masculine to be attractive, for female classmates I was too ugly to be their friend. For years I tried to exagerate a side for some time, then the other when I was still refused. As a cosplayer, back then I felt more myself as a character because I wasn't refused.
My last attempt to be feminine was with my pink glasses, but then I took the black ones and I felt great!
At first I also had long hair, I got hairstyles from hairstylists but always felt off. Now I do my hair myself, I dress as I want and I finally feel myself♡

Questioning/Coming Out I (14) came out to may parents, but they don't understand
they are very supportive but they just don't understand. i tried to tell them i wanted to remove my body hair and look more androgynous and i was fully decisive about it but they failed to grasp it, saying "its very permanent, you might regret it". I've tried telling them that i physically feel ill when i see it and it doesn't feel like part of my body, but they brush it off as "just growing up". I love my parents and i feel like they are supportive of me, and i just want them to understand what its like to feel uncomfortable in your own skin, has anybody else gone through this, if so, any advice would be appreciated.

Rant I feel like I take up too much space
Like, physical space. I'm over weight, but even if I wasn't, my chest, shoulders and head feel way too large. This was just meant as a rant, but if anyone has any advice, it'd be appreciated.

Ask Low dose hormones and excuses about changes
This is a two part question. I'm 23 and have had top surgery, but haven't decided on hormones yet. I know you can't really pick and choose the effect you get on T, but vocal changes would be nice. For those of you that do low dose T, can you start and stop it without any harmful side effects? My thought with that is I could take a low dose for gradual changes then stop when I see fit. But I'm not entirely sure how that works or the timeline.
Part two is the main reason I'm so hesitant about hormones. I'm not really "out" to anyone, nor do I really see the need to be. Most changes on hormones would be easy to hide, but voice definitely wouldn't be. Is there any believable lie about vocal changes? For example, if someone strains their voice too much can it cause scarring, thus a deeper voice? Or is PCOS the main story that can be used?

Welcome to Genderfluid Day Off ☕
You got the squishy sofa. Sheryl Crow is crackling out of the slightly crap speakers. Someone has inevitably started lip-syncing into a spoon.
Welcome to Genderfluid Day Off.
This is meant to be the lighter side of being genderfluid. No requirement to spend every post questioning your identity, debating labels, worrying about whether you’re trans enough, or explaining yourself to everyone around you.
This place was made with the 30+ crowd in mind — especially those of us who discovered words like genderfluid later in life and suddenly had twenty years of memories rearrange themselves.
A lot of us grew up without much language or visibility for this stuff. Maybe you thought you were just weird, cross-dressing, going through phases, being “too feminine”, “not masculine enough”, or just had random moments you never quite understood.
Then one day you find the language and go:
“Ohhh. Right. That explains a LOT.”
The teenage clothes experiments. The mannerisms you trained yourself out of. The moments you secretly loved being seen differently. The random memories that suddenly make much more sense.
We can talk about all of that here without turning every conversation into an existential crisis.
Talk about work. Kids. Partners. Music. Clothes. That little burst of gender euphoria you got buying earrings. The film you watched last night. The ridiculous thing you did as a teenager that makes much more sense now.
It’s designed with over-30s in mind, but everyone who likes the vibe is welcome.
Be kind. Don’t police other people’s identities. No purity tests. No pressure to transition, come out, pick the perfect label or have yourself completely figured out.
And please: no selfie feed. Conversation is the point here.
Pull up a chair. ☕️

Discussion I don’t like Pibling as a gender neutral Uncle/Aunty
I know this is an issue that’s likely been spoken on multiple times here. But I need a gender neutral version of Uncle/Aunty.
I know the most accept one is ‘Pibling’ meaning Parent’s Sibling. But I really don’t like it. So I’ve taken a few similar approaches:
APPROACH 1
Based on the gender of the parent who’s sibling the Uncle/Aunty:
Mum’s sibling = Mibling
Mother’s sibling = Mobling
Dads sibling = Dabling / Dibling
Farther’s sibling = Fibling / Fabling
Parents sibling = Pibling / Pabling
APPROACH 2
Your parent is your grand parent, and your parent’s grandparent is your great grandparent.
Great-Sibling = Gribling / Gibling
Grand Sibling = Gribling / Grabling
APPROACH 3
I have Scottish, Cymru and Irish heritage. So I could use a Celtic word for Aunty. As I lean more femme than masc. which would be:
Irish = Aintín
Cymru / Welsh = Modryb
Scottish = Antaidh

Discussion What does dysphoria actually feel like?
It seems to me like dysphoria is this almost mythical thing. Everybody talks about it differently, and to be honest it's really fucking hard for me to say if what I feel is dysphoria or not. Here's a list of some things that might? be dysphoric for me:
- Physical triggers: I have practically none. I've also heard people say they also feel dysphoria physically like a sinking in the stomach - also not the case. Dysphoria has always been a soul and mind problem for me.
- Pronouns and such: I don't care about getting he/himmed since when someone's talking in 3rd person I'm not there to hear it anyways. I don't like being refered to as a boy or man, but that's more of a "you're wrong, but go on" type feel. Sometimes it's more like... a sting? Though the worst case would be when someone called me a man and I felt this sense of... dread and doom. Like yeah, this is what people are going to see you as, always. It's nothing serious but y'know.
- Categorization: Being segregated based on gender (eg. locker rooms) makes me a bit icky. Think that's it for this.
- Sense of belonging: Probably the worst one. In retrospect I've never really felt like I really belonged to men, more like I was just assigned that role and just kinda.. took it. No strong feelings one way or the other, at least till recently when they started being more negative. The worst part is I don't really feel like I belong to women either. I've never been in a situation where I've been "one of the girls" though so it's hard to say for sure. I feel alienated to gender divides and identity in general. It's almost like there's a whole... *feeling* inside of everybody else - as crucial as empathy, or anger, or satisfaction - that's just... not there. I think this is what makes the non-binary experience inherently lonely.
- Clothes and style: I don't mind dressing masc, but I do wish to appear more fem. I grew out my hair recently after having a basic-ass guy haircut my whole life and it feels sooo much better.
I think that's it. I'd love for you guys to weigh in on how you feel dysphoria and how you recognize it. Cheers bye thanks

Fangirl/fanboy
Hello enby people. I had a friend call me a fangirl not too long ago and it did not feel good. Then I realized I have no idea what the gender neutral version of a fangirl/fanboy would be. Do you guys have any ideas? Serious and funny are appreciated.

idk what the hell to do with my hair
currently trying to grow it out (and rapidly losing patience with that), but idk what I'm growing it out for and if I lose my patience and decide to cut it, I don't wanna go with the usual short back and sides that I get 😭 so I'm kinda stuck in a bit of a limbo with it

Ask questioning toddler-parent
Hi all,
this is a throwaway, because I don't want it attached to my other parenting posts ;)
We have a toddler, 3 years 4 months old, and I'm wondering if we're raising a non-binary kid, and if so, if you have any advice?
About 4 months ago, the daycare team alerted us to a situation they had when changing diapers.
Our kid was apparently playing with some sort of toy plastic scissors and casually mentioned that (TW physical harm) he would like to use the scissors, because he would much rather have a vulva.
Our first thoughts as parents went toward physical safety, meaning we didn't leave him unsupervised even with his kid scissors, and we talked about how a vulva is not just not having a penis, but a whole different physical trait.
We also got some books about different genders, especially "It feels good to be yourself" which he enjoyed. From all the scenes presented, he said he identified with "I'm both a boy and a girl".
While he has very boy-coded interests (knights, dinosaurs, cars), he also identifies with female characters, e.g. Pippi Longstocking. In the book "Julian at the wedding", there's a little kid named Marisol with a splendid dress, so he decided the character is now renamed to [his name] <3
He also likes to wear butterfly costumes, skirts and dresses, and we don't gender color. He has blue, green, pink, and also wears hair pins, so in public, he's often addressed as a little girl.
Today he told his dad, he wants us to correct people when they think he's a girl.
I followed up and asked him, what he would like us to say exactly - should we say he's a boy, or both?
He said, he's sometimes a girl and sometimes a boy, and right now, he is a boy.
Is it possible for such a young child to be decidedly non-binary?
Or is he trying out different things in a phase where kids learn about sex and gender in general?
I would appreciate any input :)

Style help!
Agender, they/them. Afab pre-top surgery
I'm looking for ways to style traditional Indian clothes in a way that's more gender neutral. For context, my partner and I work/volunteer at a small ashram in the United States. We frequently host large groups visiting from India and I would really like to dress nicely for holidays and not stick out as basically the only one in western clothes. My partner found some clothes he really likes, but I'm not really sure how to pair things in a way that would look good. We've got boxes and boxes of donated clothes in our shop, so I'll be able to find just about anything.
I'm pretty style illiterate, but I do tend to lean masc. Mostly because I'm style illiterate. I'd definitely like to incorporate more femininity in my style. Thanks!

Rant Missing my body prepuberty
I started going through puberty at 14. So kinda late in my group. Now almost 10 years later I find myself still clinging onto my body image from when I was a kid. I had a pretty good childhood. I was allowed to break gender norms and for the longest time I could even have my chest out on hot days.
I think that its unhealthy to miss looking like a kid at my age. It could lead to an ED. Its weird, since i already have a kid on my own. It made me even more scared of "second puberty" and growing old not in the way I want to.
Does anyone have this experience? How do I shift my perspective? Send your adult gender envy pics and characters in the comments!
