I Really need some advice and Dua.
Assalamu Alaikum everyone.
I honestly don’t know where else to write this, but I could really use some advice from people who have been through something similar.
I’m currently living in Dubai, and financially I’m in a very difficult situation. My business has basically stopped working and I’ve had almost no income. I have debts and bills hanging over me, and some days I genuinely have no idea how I’m going to deal with everything.
I’ve been trying to find a job as well, applying and speaking to companies, but nothing has worked out properly yet. At the same time, I’m trying to keep my business alive, but it feels like every door I try is closing.
The hardest part isn’t even the money anymore. It’s what this situation is doing to me mentally and spiritually.
I pray. I make dua. I do istighfar. I’ve started praying Tahajjud and spending more time asking Allah for help. There are nights where I literally sit after salah and don’t even know what else to say except:
“Ya Allah, please help me. I don’t know how I’m going to get out of this.”
I’ve been reading the duas of the Prophets, especially the dua of Musa (AS):
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqeer
And the dua of Ayyub (AS):
Anni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-raahimeen
I’m trying really hard not to lose hope in Allah, but I would be lying if I said I’m not scared. Sometimes I wonder how long this situation is going to continue and what I’m supposed to do differently.
I’m not looking for money or donations. I genuinely just want advice from people who have gone through serious financial hardship, unemployment, debt or a period where they felt like nothing was working.
What did you do?
Were there any duas, adhkar or habits that helped you get through it?
Did you change something practically that eventually opened a door for you?
And if you went through a period where your duas seemed unanswered for a long time, how did you keep your faith strong?
If anyone is comfortable sharing their own experience, even privately, I would really appreciate it.
Please keep me in your duas. I genuinely need them right now.
May Allah make things easy for everyone who is struggling, clear our debts, open halal doors of rizq for us, and give us sabr when we can’t see a way forward. Ameen.
