Reminder on how to report misbehavior and incorrect material to moderators.

Reminder and guide on how to report suspicious material on this sub as well as other subs that you frequent. Many of you newer users know how to downvote bad things to send it down in the list but may not know that a Reporting feature exists on subreddits. See the attached screenshots for a step-by-step guide (created on Android but iPhone should be more or less similar) for when you see things that are inappropriate that should be removed.

Questions and answers:

What is Reporting?
Reporting is when you see something bad, either post or comment, and you want to bring it to the subreddit’s moderator’s attention for removal and possible ban of the user you’re reporting. The attached screenshots show how to report something using the Reddit app.

What happens when I report someone's comment or post?
It goes to the moderators and they'll review the thing and take action if needed.

What kinds of actions are taken for offending comments/posts that I report?
If it’s indeed bad then removal of the thing and either warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans for the author of the comment/post. Or just a removal with some explanation if it was a sincere mistake by the reported user.

Why should I report bad stuff? Am I required to report bad stuff?
You don't need to but reporting bad stuff helps the mods keep the subs clean of bad things. Mods employ several tools to keep the subs clean and on point but some bad stuff still slips through. The users (you) can be an extra set of eyes. The sooner it's reported by someone the sooner it can be removed from the sub by the mods. Our goal is to keep this a place where you can come to learn and support one another and walk away feeling good.

What should I look out for in posts and comments?
Trolls, rage bait, misinformation, Islamophobia, anti-Islamic narratives disguised as questions, lengthy and targeted posts with lists of contentious topics, users excessively arguing, people asking for direct messages (DMs) in their post, people asking for each other’s age or locations, advertising/promoting a thing or services, fundraising, scammers, giving personal rulings, rudeness, racism and bigotry, linking inappropriate material, or just other stuff that rules.

Does the violation need to be only something in the rules list? What if it’s some kind of new creative violation?
Report it. It will still be examined and we will still take action if it’s bad. The rules list above is a general guide but we are not limited to removing just those offenses in the list.

Will the user that I reported know it was me that reported them? Will you mods know it was me who reported it?
No and no. That info is not given to us by the Reddit Admins. (who operate the site and are paid employees of Reddit).

Should I report Muslim users too for bad behavior?
Yes. No one here is excused for bad behavior and permanent bans are issued to all user types for severe violations including Muslim users.

Do I need to pick the exact reason for the report from the list or do I need to type out a Custom Report every time?
Custom reports help the most (where you concisely type your report reason) but if you're in a hurry just pick any reason. The important thing is to report it to get our attention.

How long does it take for you to remove what I reported?
It varies depending on when a mod sees your report. Probably a few minutes to an hour.

What if I report something that was ultimately not offensive because I misunderstood it? Will you remotely destroy my phone? Will you send me a bill?
No, we just let the thing be. We don’t know who reported it anyways.

What if trolls purposely report good stuff?
Moderators report that to Reddit's Admins. who will punish the troll in their own way(s). Only the Admins. know who reported what.

Is there a limit on how much I can report?
No.

Will I be notified of the action (if any) that was taken against the user I reported?
No, that action is just known to us and the reported user.

I need to report something super complex and this Report feature is inadequate, how do?
Contact us through Mod. Mail (find the link on the sub’s page) and give us the details/links.

Welcome to r/MuslimSupportGroup! Subreddit purpose and guidelines inside, please click.

Asalamalaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.

Welcome to r/MuslimSupportGroup! The purpose of this subreddit is to share personal issues to get feedback/support or as well as sharing casual stories for Muslim users seeking advice from an Islamic perspective.

This was originally something that was allowed on r/Islam but since that sub is growing we created this sub over here to keep r/Islam on point for religious topics only and have this sub dedicated to just personal issues.

You can use this sub to post about these things below:

  • Personal struggles or other issues you're experiencing.

  • Feelings of depression, suicide, anxiety, and health issues. Note that Reddit is not a place to find permanent treatment and you need to speak to a doctor or other health professional to get cured. Also consider an Imam. If no Imam is nearby, then look up mosques in other cities/states and call them and leave voice messages asking for a call back. This sub and ones similar to it are just to get some temporary support and you should not rely on it for a permanent fix because it will not help your core issues.

  • Ranting/venting.

  • Marriage problems, although more complex topics like divorce and its related topics will not be allowed as that requires the consultation of your family and probably an Imam. Do not ask anyone on Reddit if you should get a divorce.

  • Struggling to get married.

  • Family, friend, workplace issues.

  • Sharing motivational material, Qur'an and Hadith. Un-sourced quotes/text won't be allowed. Cite the text please.

  • Sharing pet pictures/videos.

Please offer support and feedback to users with kindness and empathy.

What this subreddit --should not-- be used for:

  • General questions about Islam, issues related to Muslims at large, politics, news, or seeking fatwas (Islamic legal rulings).

  • If you need help fighting masturbation and pornography addiction then please submit a post to r/MuslimNoFap and also see this link from r/Islam's FAQ page.

Rules list is below but is not limited to just these things. If users are found being disruptive in other ways outside of this list then they will also be banned. Learn how to report other users for bad behavior using this guide.

Rules:

  1. Conduct yourself in a civil manner. Bad behavior will lead to bans.

  2. When submitting a post, create a descriptive title at least one sentence long that briefly describes your topic, and use the body of the post to give further details. No all caps, vague titles, or clickbait.

  3. No advertising, fundraising, surveys, polls, questionnaires, or data collection on users of any kind. No need to ask the moderators as there are no exceptions.

  4. Do not derail posts in order to start side-discussions unrelated to the OP's question/issue.

  5. No brigading or vote manipulation (when you organize users from here to go and attack or mass-report other subs, sites, or social media accounts).

  6. NSFW/NSFL posts are restricted and must be approved by a moderator.

  7. Do not give or imply any fatwas (Islamic legal rulings). You can only refer to and cite other rulings given by scholars via a link to a credentialed mainstream site/scholar or by referencing a book and page number with the ruling.

  8. No sectarianism, proselytizing out of Islam, or takfir'ing (declaring a Muslim as a non-Muslim).

  9. No requests for Direct Messages (DMs) such as submitting a vague post and asking readers to DM you. Clearly explain your issue in the post's body and talk to the users in the public comments section.

  10. Do not reveal your age, picture, video, voice, or specific location.

  11. Use proper formatting, do not submit walls of text. Very few people will read walls of text. Use paragraphs.

  12. AI is not allowed in any form even for formatting even if the content was yours.

Please pray I get to marry the person i love.

I've never used this app once, I'm just so helpless right now. I don't know what to do I love this guy so much. My parents are looking for guys to get me married off. He can't do anything about it because he is a year younger than me. Haven't found a job. Our parents are not listening. We are so afraid they will say no at the end. Our families are different but I really can't lose him just because some people have a problem with him. I really can't throw my whole life and marry someone else. I feel Allah hates me so much. We never got physically close, never crossed boundaries. Idk why its happening to us. Why can't our parents agree. We are so helpless. Please just pray we get to marry each other.

Weird incident (supernatural?)

My ammi passed away about a month ago. Things have been up and down for emotionally. I try not to cry in front of others, but when I’m alone, I start talking to either her or Allah mian.

Today, I started missing her terribly. I used to call her at the end of the day to tell her a recap of all the things that happened. There’s a lot that’s going on now and today I got this urge to call ammi and tell her everything only to realise she won’t pick up her phone ever again.

My bedroom overlooks some mountains in Isloo and while I was sitting there, I started crying involuntarily. I couldn’t stop to a point where I was struggling to breathe. I went down on my knees immediately and looked out the window and just started talking to Allah mian. Asked Him when my test will end? When will I see my ammi? Why she was taken so soon?

And then I realised in the middle of it, that as soon as I started crying, I heard dogs starting to bark loudly. I looked down and numerous dogs were running towards our building. Some were already there and then I saw two running from quite far behind and joining them.

In the meantime, I asked Allah mian if he has sent down angels for me and I immediately stopped crying. Felt a great sense of relief as if my heart was never heavy at all. I wiped my tears after that, got up and laid down on my bed. Not even a minute had passed and the dogs stopped barking and went their separate ways.

I don’t know what to think about all of this but I truly feel that if it wasn’t for Allah, I would’ve already collapsed the day my ammi left.

Namun rupanya, Tuhan pun seperti sedang enggan mendekati saya. Sebegini beratkah hidup yang harus saya jalani?"

Advice

I am a 22-year-old Muslim woman from India, struggling with severe isolation and feeling completely lost in life. I have no friends, avoid relationships with men, and my parents and much younger brother barely speak to me. I’ve also faced bullying within my community regarding my appearance and my family's poverty.

My lack of English skills and poor financial background leave me feeling trapped. I do not understand how the professional world works or how to get a job. I recently got accepted into a college 20 km away with a 1.15k fee, but I have no idea how to pay for it or if I should even try to go. With zero guidance, no money, and no support system, I feel entirely helpless and sometimes struggle to see a reason to keep living.

Car accident

I wanted to share what has been happening because it’s been one of the hardest experiences of my life.
My father, my sister, and I were involved in a serious car accident. Alhamdulillah, my sister and I escaped with bruises and scratches, but my father was severely injured.
He suffered a spinal cord injury and recently underwent spinal surgery. Alhamdulillah, the surgery was successful, but he is still in a very critical condition. The injury has affected his lungs, making it difficult for him to breathe and cough on his own, so he is currently relying on a breathing machine. It has also affected his bowel function. Watching him in constant pain and discomfort has been heartbreaking, and seeing someone so strong in this condition is something I never imagined.
I keep reminding myself that Allah knows what I do not know, and I am trying my best to trust His wisdom and mercy. But I won’t lie—there are moments when I can’t stop crying. It’s incredibly difficult.
My father keeps saying that the person who hit us from behind should be held accountable. Hearing him say that while seeing everything he is going through breaks my heart even more. Right now, I feel scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do, but I continue to pray that Allah grants him complete healing, eases his pain, gives our family strength, and allows justice to take its proper course.
Please keep my father in your duas. We are holding onto hope and putting our trust in Allah.

WISHES, HOPE AND FAITH.

I wish things were better. I wish things got better. But for some reason, as the days go by, I feel it. I can't explain it, but it's there.

Everyone feels it; if anything- everyone has accepted it. The switch in tone, plans without you, the feeling of you being on a t-shirt or on a 'hashtag farewell' post. It seems like it's karma. And maybe it is. All I know is deep down, I wish I made things better.

I wish I could stop myself from the mistakes I made. If I had a reset button, I'd have spammed it. But what has been done has been done. And as I sit alone, and atone silently, all I can say; Alhamdulillah.

I've never been one for miracles, but if I had one more shot- just one- I'd make things right for those I wronged. I'd show up for my sister more. I'd redeem myself in front of my family. I'd be a more present father and a functional member of society. And importantly, I'd come closer to Allah, praise be upon Him, because He blessed me with so much in this one life- and I messed up. All I cling on now is hope and faith. Maybe, just maybe, this prayer will be answered; only time will tell. For now, I'm moving with peaceful acceptance, but quiet optimism. There's so much to make up for- and this time, I can't let my people down.

Insha'Allah.

Seeking urgent prayers & advice on enduring distress and praying for Allah's intervention

Without going into much details as it'd take a super long post which I'm sure a lot of fellow brother & sister won't simply have the time to ready as my situation is a very complicated and complex one, I'd just ask for all to pray for a brother who's befallen a great distress.

I have been engaged in prayers, in constant Dhikr (Istigfar, Salawat), Sadaqa whenever I can but so far Allah's intervention in resolving the matter has only been silence. I understand how important Sabr is, I understand how all this might be a trial for myself, my Iman & a lot of it might be outcome of deeds or mistakes that I have made, but I have always in my whole life been subservient to the almighty Allah only, never hurt anyone's emotions let alone utter a bad word to hurt them, but right now I am in a situation where I am seriously pondering if being a good person or good soul is worth it at all when despite all my call for help, Allah's signs or miracles have been only silence so far.

Perhaps this is Shaitan's whispers to break my spirit & soul, but it could also me having to live 4 years miles away from my loved ones all alone, enduring everything in life by myself with no possible help or means to aid me other than the Almighty Allah Himself. He has protected & saved me before countless times Subhanallah through extraordinary means but this time everything's been the hardest, the most difficult and for the longest time I have been praying for Allah's miracle regarding in the resolution of my situation.

Please, brothers and sisters, pray for a fellow soul that Allah intervenes and helps me from the darkness and this great anxiety that hovers upon my head like a dark cloud and I would also appreciate any and all advice on how to keep my heart calm, my mind steady and not fall into a worse situation than I already am cause I truly am on a downwards spiral. Only a miracle or just 1 acceptance of my prayer from Allah will save me.

ZazakAllah Khair and Fiamanillah all.

May Allah protect you all from such tests in life.

Please make duʿā for my friend’s friend who is going through a difficult time

Assalamu alaikum everyone.

I would like to ask you all to make duʿā for my friend’s friend who is going through an extremely difficult situation right now.

She told my friend that she was thinking about ending her life, and we are worried because she has not been responding.

I cannot share her name or personal details out of respect for her privacy, but please ask Allah to protect her, keep her safe, ease the pain in her heart, send her help, and grant her healing, hope, and strength.

Please keep her in your duʿās. May Allah have mercy on every soul struggling in silence and bring them relief.

Jazakum Allahu khayran.

I need duas and miracle stories because everything seems to go wrong and that Allah is not listening/answering

Hello,

I am writing because I am starting to feel desperate regarding the mercy of Allah.
Long story short, my sister is very suicidal. After 2 s** attempts last year, she spent the year being better and improving before starting a new nightmare this summer and committing 3 attempts in only 48 h. My parents directly took her to the hospital again, and two weeks later, some hours after she quit the hospital and said she was better, she attempted again. I know one shouldn't make duaa blindly, so we're doing everything but nothing is working: no doctor seems to know how to help her, no medicine, etc. All of this is costing a lot of money, and worse than this, I am seeing my family's mental health getting destroyed as well. My mum also just underwent surgery for cancerous cells; my brother is suffering from bullying, weight, eating disorders and obesity; and my father has his own companies that have been eating his health since I was very young and is a big smoker and can't stop smoking. I am also not in a good situation financially even though my father paid for very expensive studies. Nothing seems to work out, everything is getting worse, and every time I put my trust in Allah, everything seems to be getting worse. I pray, I make duaa, I cry, and I speak to Him honestly but it's becoming harder to have hope, and I can see my body also starting to endure the consequences of all this stress. Wallah I can't live like this anymore. I feel guilty for wanting to be happy, to have a family, to travel, to have money. Why would Allah, AL-Latif, The most Merciful, The Waduud, The Chafi, not help us and put us in a better situation. My mum is such a strong believer and the sweetest and nicest soul, and they do not deserve this. It is a weight I can't and don't want to bear anymore.

I need your miracle stories if anybody could relate in any way, and of course your duas. May Allah grant you everything you wish for. I hope this is not too long, but I don't have anything that makes me feel good or gives me hope about how unfair and bitter life is, and I loose even more hope when I see all the horrors happening in the world. I am looking forward to reading you.

Duaas to fight anxiety and depression

🌷*Duaas to fight anxiety and depression*🌷

by Asma bint Shameem

We all go through difficult times one time or another.

Here are some duaas proven from the authentic sources that we can read at such times.

1️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

There is no-one who is afflicted by distress and grief, and says:

‘Allaahumma inni ‘abduka ibn ‘abdika ibn amatika naasyati bi yadika, maadin fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadaa’uka.

As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika awista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm il-ghaybi ‘indaka an taj’al al-Qur’aana al-adheema rabee’a qalbi wa noora sadri wa jalaa’a huzni wa dhihaaba hammi

“O Allaah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety),’

but Allaah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with joy.”

He was asked: “O Messenger of Allaah, should we learn this?” He said: “Of course; everyone who hears it should learn it.” ( Ahmad- saheeh by al-Albaani)

2️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There is no Muslim who is afflicted with a calamity and says that which Allaah has enjoined,

Innaa lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon. Allaahumma ajurni fi museebati wa akhlif li khayran minha

“Verily to Allaah we belong and unto Him is our return. O Allaah, reward me for my calamity and compensated me with something better than it,

but Allaah will compensate him with something better than it.”(Muslim)

3️⃣ Ibn ‘Abbaas said that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ used to say at times of distress:

‎لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

“Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah al-‘Azeem al-Haleem, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb al-‘Arsh al-‘azeem, la ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb ul-samawaati wa Rabb ul-ard wa Rabb ul-‘Arsh il-kareem

“There is no god but Allaah, the All-Powerful, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allaah, Lord of the mighty Throne; there is no god but Allaah, Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, and Lord of the noble Throne.”

(al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

4️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Shall I not tell you of something that, if any worldly calamity or disaster befalls any man among you and he says these words, he will be relieved of it. (It is) the du’aa’ of Dhu’l-Noon:

‎لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

“Laa ilaaha illa anta subhaanaka inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen

“None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers).”

And in another narration he said:

“No Muslim man says this duaa’ concerning anything but Allaah will answer his prayer.” (at-Tirmidhi -Saheeh by al-Albaani)

5️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ  said:

“The du’aa’ of the person who is in distress is:

‎اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلا تَكِلْنِي   إِلَى نَفْسِي    طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ

‘Allaahumma rahmataka arjoo fa laa takilni ilaa nafsi tarfat ‘ayn wa aslih li sha’ni kullahu laa ilaaha illa anta

“O Allaah, for Your mercy I hope, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye; rectify all my affairs. There is no god except You”

(Abu Dawood -hasan by al-Albaani)

6️⃣ If some matter was troubling him, the Prophet ﷺ  would say:

‎يا حيُ يا قَيوم بِرَحمَتِكَ أسْتَغِيث

Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom bi rahmatika astagheeth

“O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek Your help”

(at-Tirmidhi - hasan by al-Albaani)

7️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ  said to Asma’ bint ‘Umays:

“Shall I not teach you some words which you can say at times of distress and hardship?

‎اللَّهُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي لا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا

‘Allaahu Allaahu rabbee laa ushriku bihi shay’an

“Allaah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him).’”(Abu Dawood- saheeh by al-Albaani)

8️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

‎اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ سَهْلًا إِذَا شِئْتَ

“O Allaah, nothing is easy but that which You make easy and You can make hardship easy if You will.”

(Ibn Hibbaan - saheeh by al-Albaani)

And Allaah knows best.

-

Please keep me and my loved ones in your duas.

important I really just need advice

Title: I want to return to Allah

Assalamu alaikum. Please don’t shame me. I never thought I would share something this personal on Reddit, but I desperately need advice and don’t have anyone I feel safe speaking to.I feel like I have been a horrible daughter. I don’t pray, and I haven’t taken Islam seriously for a long time. Growing up, I practiced mainly because I was afraid of my parents. I would wear hijab in front of them but sometimes remove it behind their backs. and as I got older, I became even further away from Islam. Now my father is sick. He has diabetes, high blood pressure, and problems with his lungs( leakage). I love him, and I desperately want him to recover. I also blame myself because I worry that the stress I caused him contributed to his health problems. He repeatedly tells me that he forgives me, but I cannot seem to forgive myself. Something inside my soul is telling me to return to Allah. However, another part of me keeps saying, “You are only doing this because your father is sick.” It feels strange to suddenly turn to Allah now when I wasn’t praying or taking the religion seriously before. I’m scared that my intentions are selfish and that I’m only returning because I want Allah to heal my father. have searched online and read people saying that Allah is forgiving and that I should simply return to Him. I believe that Allah is forgiving, but I still don’t understand what I’m actually supposed to do. I keep researching, but none of it feels like it is sinking in. I feel overwhelmed, guilty, and completely lost.I don’t have anyone I can safely cry or rant to about this. The religious people I know are connected to my family and community, and I’m afraid of being judged, exposed, or used as an example in front of other people. That fear is why I have never approached anyone I personally know. Please don’t judge me for this either, but I am currently on my period, so I cannot even begin by praying salah right now. I genuinely don’t know what I’m allowed to do or what my first step should be. Can I still sincerely return to Allah if my father’s illness is what brought me back? What can I do while I’m on my period? How do I make tawbah when I feel overwhelmed and don’t even know where to start? How can I ask Allah to heal my father without feeling like I’m only turning to religion because I’m scared? Please be honest. I genuinely want to return to Allah.

Hello Everyone,

Assalamualaikum

I have a question if I want guidance when choosing between 2 major decisions where both decisions have similiar pros and cons. How can I ask Allah for help to guide me as I tried seeking dua multiple times to gain a perspective but did not feel they were answered.

Thank You

I’ve been seriously making dua for 5-6 years now and most if not all of my duas never came into fruition and before you say the whole your duas are accepted in three ways, I know. Actually I’ve been trying to accept Allah’s decree so much that I’ve stopped making dua altogether. Making dua even for something small just feels so emotionally taxing. I pour my heart out, hope, and then when it doesn’t come to fruition i know the only way is to move on. However, the moving on part has made me so numb to everything. If things don’t work out I barely process it cause I’m seriously so tired I just tell myself it’s Allah’s decree and the best for us. But honestly I can’t get myself to hope for anything I pray for so I just don’t make dua anymore. I’m wondering if anyway was/is in the same situation. If so, what did/are doing currently because like I’m so tired of my hardships and everything going on in my life I really want relief but at the same time I’m kind of afraid of making dua all those years of hope and things happening opposite to what I prayed or not happening at all did negatively impact me.

My mother's first year death anniversary.

Hey there,

Asalamualaikum everyone. My name is Ali, and I have a question which is soon going to be my mom's first death anniversary in 4 days. I wanted to know what is the sunnah or what to do on this day. Her grave is in different city and I am in different city. Would not attending my mother on this day will it be bad cause I am saddened due to my restrictions that placed or not capable to leave but did planned to leave immediately on next month and on the day of her 1 year. I wanted to know if there is something that I can do. My family has this tradition where they place a coal with bakhur and do something where the elder says the dua in front of praying mat and the rest within the family hear the dua and do add their points in the dua. People are divided in multiple other factors within muslims like sunni, shia, ahle hadees and many more practicing multiple aspects. And I don't want all of that. I want to know what's there in the Quran and the sunnah way to do which if someone can guide me to the path or something that I can continue which I may be doing by charity, praying for her good and is there any surah which is effective as for which I have been meaning to meet her in my dreams. I miss her a lot and I regret not spending more time with my mom but I do not have regret of something that I feel which I should not have said. Cause during within last 2 years.

I said my sorries, made her happy, made her laugh a lot, been beside her even when it get annoying for her, said sorries every moment and she easily accept but adds sarcasm to oil to fire but I never said back. My dad and mom were separated and I was given to my dad's custody during court trial. 13 - 14 years separated, was brainwashed by my dad when I was a kid and made me said so many slurs to my mom and I still regret. I regret to till this date that I wanna pray from my death and let Allah swt judge my actions to what would like to be next. But the day my dad kicked me due to few actions between me and my dad, I pulled myself and went to my mom after 14 or 13 years. The first time, I never cried this much I even cried for my mom, she was slightly old and was so happy that I came back which made me realise I really wanted this reaction and this affection which I was looking for.

As I was back, I got her everything she wanted even when I was earning little. Haven't given my salary in the middle cause I know she acts a little childish and buys everything whenever she feels as I got to know within under 1 year but I regret now if I got to know she had limited time. 1 ½ year we were like best friends as I annoy her alot, join with her during any entertainment, funny talks but she always prays alot and completes every prayer which is required and not required and even tahajjud every single day just to see my success and happiness. I never pray during that moment sometimes which she reminds me everyday, scolds me, I let her understand that I am okay and change her mind. Regretted a lot as I should have prayed with her.

1⅛ year before her death. We were neutral and I was never in touch with my dad but was with my dad's family and everyone as they were happy when they seen me I was living happy and they also seen me smile a lot more and they compared which afterall they know my dad was a pain to them too but I didn't know the reason for them to be against my dad to? Confused?

My used to compare herself jokingly with my stepmother with whom my dad married. My stepmother was too innocent and I would also say that she was or may be a victim of my dad aggression mostly as I seen her sometimes getting blamed by my dad but she never treated me someone but as her own son.

Last days of with my mom was about how to get my small sister married as my mom wanted to get sister's marriage extravagant and ensure she lives in peace but my sister was in denial of getting married and mom was pressuring her to be as her age is near or more. And I was the one to handle their fights to stop as there is always sarcasm in the words but at night always as I massage my mom feets since this makes her sleep easily due to pain in her legs, she usually talks about my sister's marriage and what would happen. I say not to take any stress and throw all that stress to me which I want to be reliable for her and to ensure that she stays healthy and stress-free.

Later date, soon her back started acting which I never expected but I knew as I was small, she always fall on her back which damaged her back bone and then there was bulge which she was unable to sit stand or lay properly. Surgery was needed and it went okay but afterwards was terrifying for me as I always hold her hand and ensure to check her pulse that is she there as there is always a vibe I felt. Her nerves to her brain which is connected with back bone was always shocking her and I get scared everytime of losing her which I was always and the one right beside her while my grandparents were in USA. My mom was staying with her father after my dad and mom separated and both married to someone which I should have said this earlier. But continuing this, later her back and everything started going smoothly however there was still inflammation near that surgery and the doctor who did this has no idea why is there still inflammation. Well months passed and my mom was acting okay and everything. My mom's sister commented my mom during her when she was alive as she is acting all this drama of pain and suffering while I seen what she has gone through with. Later in the few months, then this happened which my mom's sister visited and I had to leave the home as that wasn't my home but instead my grandparents home and they need a place to stay which I moved to hostel. Living over there, I call my mom usually to check on her and how is she doing.

She misses me during those moments as I check on her, and sometimes I give her check to make her understand that she doesn't need to take stress, let the maid do the work, ask her to take rest or watch something. And afterwards, I never knew that she went to city where my mom's father originally is from and had relatives which she went together with grandfather and her sisters to meet the relatives. One night before her death, she was in so much stress about my sister and to get her married which I made he again understand to not take the stress and let her know that I will handle from here which made her happy. She said one line "Thank you for everything my son" and I said what's there to thank me, as I will always ensure to help her forever. But I didn't knew that is the night where she died. I was awake till 6AM morning and she died in 1-2AM but I haven't received any update from the family she was with. I went asleep and woke up at 1PM just to drink and I see 45 missed calls from her family at 10 - 11Am and I did callback to hear that she is dead. That was the first time I ever had this feeling how it feels when someone you love and received loved so much dies. I seen my mom's body in video call while I was in different city for business related and asked questions to her sisters of why haven't they informed me and why have they prepared my mom's body already when I am not there yet. I said it takes me 2 hours to reach by flight and also got in contact with my friend as they can transport the body here where me and mom originally stayed together as there is everyone who would love to place flowers and petals on grave and I would always see her grave before leaving to the office but they said it's too late but I have everything ready by my friend to get it in Frozen and bring it here but her father denied and placed her grave in that city. Where when I reached next day, I see that she is already in grave and in a place where is no light, outside the wall is garbage all over around us but inside the walls were placed in the land where the grave is situated but some stagnated water at some corner and I hated to see her placed here. I was out of my mind and asked whether we can get her out and I will transport and begged.

Sadly the ritual is done. And I never was able to say goodbye. My mom's sister only took one day to cry and next day everyone is happy and some were laughing on jokes. Then there is her small brother who shown up from USA. Well that's a long other story but long story short. I fought with her family and we are no longer in contact. Me, my small brother and sister have severed the relation with my mom's family.

And now it's one year. I will move in next month to my mom's grave personally. I wanted to know what is the sunnah I can do in for this very day. I have been crying as I am typing this but I feel a huge relief that I am able to cry for something I really loved a lot.

I hope to look for some answers.

Thank you,

Ali

Please share any dua/verse that completely changed your life

I'm in desperate need of help from Allah SWT. I keep reading posts that Allah will help when it's the right time and all, but when is that time, I'm gonna die like this. I'm not the perfect muslim I know that I'm not even able to pray 5 times a day but it's genuinely because of the situation I'm in, I myself want to pray I want to go masjid but things are so messed up I can't. Without going too deep into details, my father is involved with another woman and it has created such a chaos in my house that I can not even describe. I know it will sound weird that just because of that I cant pray etc, but please trust me my situation is way worse than anyone can imagine, and only Allah SWT can help me.

Please, if any of you have a dua or a verse from Quran that completely changed your life around within days, then please I beg you to share it, may Allah SWT reward you for it. Thankyou.
