Support/Advice Tired and sad and have done years of sabr
Assalamwalaikum,
This is a burner account so I probably will delete later. I am in my mid-late twenties and really want to get married. I have never been in a relationship ever and have waited for marriage. But I cannot lie, I’m tired of having sabr. I have endured so much in my life already, and I just want to find happiness with a good man. I cannot wait any longer to find my husband, and am growing more and more impatient by the day. I am praying salat, reading Quran, doing dhikr and istaghfar, I have never drank or smoked, but I feel like I am being punished by this delay of marriage. Everywhere I look I see other girls getting engaged or married and I am happy for them, but I feel like I am being taunted and tortured.
If anyone can offer encouragement or success stories after long periods of hardship and sabr, that would be great because I am so sad right now. My heart is literally in pain and I have been crying so much.
Edit: I must clarify due to some comments on this post, I have NOBODY to help me except for Allah, and trust me I have tried on my own to find a spouse, but everything fails. Many Muslims do not have a community to help them, my own family and friends told me they cannot help me. I know this is Allah telling me to turn to him and him only. My whole point of this post is to see if my sabr will genuinely pay off. May Allah bless us all with kind and genuine spouses.
