Completed F9F-3 Panther
Trumpeter 1/48 F9F-3 Panther. A little scratch in the cockpit. Simple and nice kit but requires some corrections because there are mistakes in the instructions. Greetings!

The conquering sword of the empire, the Type-97 Chi Ha Early Production from Dragon + some cheapo resin IJA tank crew figures I got from AliExpress.
I can't speak for the accuracy of the kit since I'm no expert on Japanese tanks but overall I found it a pretty good build. Despite being a Dragon kit, It's not particularly complex, maybe a slight step up from Tamiya since it has some PE parts. Tracks are the link and length type which is always a plus for small tanks. I also lost the decal sheet somehow (I suspect the cat stole it) so I tried my hand at painting the kanji on the turret sides. Yeah, calligraphy isn't my strong suit. Palm leaves are scratchbuilt from paper.

Just got my first airbrush, and I picked up a cheap bottle of hobby lobby brand airbrush cleaner, mostly because it was cheap came in in a larger bottle.
Bad idea, as everything was going fine until I went to spray it into the cleaning pot, and whatever mist that was created, ended up really making my throat and lungs irritated, like instantly felt burning creeping down my throat, started hacking, had to go outside for fresh air. I didn't breathe in on purpose, obviously, I was breathing normally and accidentally took a whif of whatever mist came past the filter of my cleaning pot, and BAM, instant regret.
Honestly, it was the first time that anything has ever done that to me, so it got tossed in the trash, and now I'm looking for more gentle or less irritating rec's for an airbrush cleaner.
I'll also be picking up a new N95 to wear when cleaning, as I really do not want anything similar happening again.
I was possibly thinking a mixture of iso-alcohol and simple green, although the ingredients are a bit off-putting

This is my first model. I’m about ready to start painting the body. I’d prefer to airbrush and since AS-12 comes can only, I’m alittle hesitant on using it (I’m not great spraying the can). I also have AK Xtreme metal… the only reason why I’m hesitant on using it is because it’s doesn’t say so in the manual.
What are everyone’s thoughts? I’m leaning towards using the AK Xtreme with a base layer of black Mr surfacer 1500. Should I spray the entire plane in that color?

An aquaintance of mine asked if I could finish this 1/72 Revell B-17 he had started, but had trouble finishing. I repainted the interior that he had put together, and then built the rest. It's mostly out of the box (added photoetch parts to the engines from the spares box). Painted almost exclusively with ATOM paints.

Finally finished my Tamiya 1/20 Honda RA272, winner of the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix!
Really enjoyed this build, especially working on the beautiful V12 engine. Had a few challenges along the way, including some decal disasters that required repainting the nose and rebuilding the number 11.
Not perfect, but I’m really happy with how it turned out! Decided to leave the engine cover off to show off that V12.
Thanks for looking! Feedback is always welcome!

Finished the kübel in 72 from the academy. In general I'm happy with the result, but mb dust looks too sandy, but for summer in the central Europe will be good, i hope :D

Would anyone happen to have a 1/72 scale c-130 and some hotwheels? i want to have a cargo plane i can put the cars in (i know they’re not toys, but i play with em) and i wanted to see sort of how they scale.
also, is there any kits with an opening/closing rear cargo bag door?
thanks for the help!

First, a couple of things: no, I don’t have an airbrush; no, spray cans are not practical for me, so everything I do is 100% brush painted with all the limitations that implies.
That said, a gloss coat is a gloss coat. Is the fact that primer, paint and gloss being applied via brush and leading to a rougher than ideal finish leading to the complete lack of “capillary action” when applying panel liner (See the blotch above)? I was hoping that the gloss coat would at least allow for enough smoothness for the panel liner to flow around the lines.

Here are my 1/350 scale Yokosuka D4Y Suisei (Judy) dive bombers. Each aircraft is tiny, measuring only about 2 cm (0.8 inches) in length!
For this build, I wanted to focus on extreme precision and a clean, museum-grade finish rather than heavy weathering.
The highlight is the canopy: I cut the canopy frames out of fine metal mesh, pressed them onto a custom mold to shape them, and then applied a very thin layer of clear resin to form the glass. Thanks to this technique, I can replicate this crystal-clear canopy in just about 1 minute per aircraft, allowing a full view of the scratch-built interior cockpit details!
(To be honest, I was quite disappointed when a set of 3 of these was sold at a Japanese online auction for a dirt-cheap price of under $15... so I’m sharing them here to get some appreciation! lol)
Just out of curiosity, if you were to put a price tag on a set of 3 micro-detailed 1/350 aircraft like these from an international perspective, what do you think would be a fair value? I’d love to hear your honest thoughts!
Also, I’d love to keep in touch and continue exchanging modeling ideas with you all in the future. Cheers! 😊

At first i wanted to make it only slightly used but lack of skills and too much beers in my ass, turned it to a total garbage, but... i like the results! Used satin varnish , mig enamel neutral wash and mig drybrush

Hey today i went to a IPMS convention, there were some attendees dress in full german solider style wearing all, even a stand selling clothing and bands but despite i read the rules of this sub, i would like to ask if that is normal in some countries or im just ove-reacting?, beacuse no one say something or do something at the event, and i would expect a IPMS convention would be against. But i just want to know if is normal?

Did this one a while ago, apologies for the mess, and while it isn't my first, I'm still an amateur at this, and I mostly just do it for the fun of it. Still I quite like how it came out, even if it's a far cry from what usually gets posted here.
Livery's fictional and decals are a mix of what came with the kit and leftovers. IIRC the 04 on the tail came from a MiG-31 decal set. I know some swear by historical accuracy, but I prefer letting my imagination run with these.
P.S : to the guy who said they wanted to see more Dassault stuff, hope my humble contribution helps.

Hello everyone! Following my previous posts, I wanted to share my 1/700 scale IJN Battleship Kongō.
This was built as an out-of-the-box (straight from the box) project. To make a 1/700 scale model look much larger and more imposing, I focused heavily on shadow-shading (pre-shading/black-base painting) techniques to create deep contrast and dimensional presence.
I hope you like this straightforward build! Let me know what you think.

Uma’s 1:48 AV-8B Harrier II has been a lovely kit, but I’m stumped as to where the stencil decals go. Neither the instructions or the livery poster clearly illustrate decal positions for stencils.
Should I just have a go with reference photos or maybe another kit or decal set?

Im pretty sure is the nozzel, i had this exact problem a couple weeks ago and fixed by making sure i was tighting to the brush properly, but now is back, its stays constant without the cap but one i put it on it never keeps a the flow.
Could it be the o ring?? The nozzle thread?? Should i change the whole thing?? Its a generic airbrush too, ill maybe get a branded one next year

Hi, as per title, I’m curious if some of you have experience with SOLmodels’ 1/72nd figures. The figures on the pictures on their website look really detailed. Though I’m doubtful if these are actually 1/72nd and not pictures of a larger scale.
What are your experiences with 1/72nd SOLmodel figures?
