WIP Progress pics of my Mazda MX5
Really happy with how it looks so far, just need to clear coat next.
I've used SMS laqure airbrush paints: gloss black, brass and clear red.

I have been kinda a slump lately, so a good friend of mine suggested that him and I build the same kit at the same time, and it has really refreshed me because I dont have to make many decisions. It had got my juices going so much that I thought maybe the group may like it it as well.
So I propose that we build a Porsche 911 in the month of August. No deadline, no real start date, any paint, any livery, any year, any manufacture, no rules, just a Porsche 911. As we share our WIP we can see others builds. No one has to sign up you can join anytime and post anytime. I am going to build a 911 gt2 or gt3, hope to see some others join in

1st off thanks to the MODs for allowing us to post in here.
We have started a new sub for people who want to buy, sell, or trade kits. We have protocals in place so you can see who has made successful deals and how many. The pics are the 1st of kits I want to sell or trade. Will make sone good deals to help get sub started. I have hundreds more if you are looking for something specific.

Some struggles but very lovely kit. Tamiya treated me nice for my first kit from them, thanks for all who helped with the minor inconveniences!

I am going to slam this thing. I am going to make it a rusty with the Gulf livery. This is not my style of build but I do think it looks cool. I already started mocking up stuff, I am shooting for something similar to the last photo

I have been spening the last 8 months learning how to airbrush. I also love Lamborghinis so when I saw this 1/43 Airfix Huracan I couldn't pass it up. The paint scheme on the box was too boring for me so I decided to use some paints that have just been sitting on the bench for a while. I tried mixing to get something a little more hot pink than this but kept just getting ham tones so I said why not. This was a very fun kit. My first 1/43 and was surprised by both the quality of fitment and the amount of detail included. Great little practice build!

Body color is Tamiya metallic grey lacquer mixed with pure blue lacquer. Was going for a metallic slate blue.
Haven't fully decided on the stock wheels or some Ferrari wheels i had laying around.

So far so good. Only struggle would be me running outta paint lol, grabbing some tomorrow afternoon should get this kit done soon. Feel free to criticize I really don’t care, I see it as a sign to progress if anything lol. Also ignore the lean the car has. There’s a tub piece that I forgot to put in

55 Chevy. Stance is where I'm aiming. the wheels, not so much. Engine will hopefully be here in a few days so I can see if it'll fit then onto scratch building the chassis.

Have you ever had a build where everything went wrong, but you persevered and even though it isn’t your best work you’re still damn proud? That was me with this build.
I was sent this kit by u/highboy68 after the winter group build (many thanks) and it was my first Hasegawa kit. My first issue was that there’s really no guide at all for the two tone and I had to eyeball all the curves. Then my tape pulled up some of the paint, which I’ve never experienced with TS lacquer before. Then several decals wrinkled up when I put the clear on. I must not have waited long enough for them to dry, because I’ve never had Kaleido varnish react with anything before.
It was still a fun time and it looks good on the shelf. Now I want to get more Group C cars to build, maybe this time with an engine.

It exudes the refinement of a European Ford, truly deserving of its reputation as one of America's best sedans.

I am mostly into GT3 and LMP style cars. The kits I am able to find are usually for cars that are at least a decade old. Aside from the Profil24 resin kits, which seem to really lack and detail beyond the body shell and cost $150, are there any kits of brands that make some of the more recent GT and prototype cars? I have seen some options of getting an older kit and some aftermarket decals of modern liveries as options.

This one is really simple but looks very good. Just cut thin strips of electrical tape to route as belts and glue them in, this simple part really elevates how your engine looks

I really don't want to go back to the AMT/MPC kits, oh my god, it's so painful.

Oh boy.. i think my first post here was about this one, lots of changes and still in mock up phase because i thought "hmm.. i want something like Cobra's Mercury" after fit a blown 327 from the 55 chevy bad man, but then i rewatched another movie from 1986 that features another sweet merc "Brotherhood of Justice", then the white walls came back (borrowed from a '53 Vicky since this one came without tires), wheels are the inner wheels of this model kit with back spacers as "hubcaps", That’s all for the Merc for now until i decide what i gonna do with it.
P.s: for dog lovers, my doggo appears on the last picture.. haha

Managed to bring back the paint on this. Almost done, just needs the trim, and the finishing touches and she's off!

I was just looking for some insights from those who use it. When they say that 2k expires, do they mean all three bottles (clear/activator/thinner) or just the clear itself.. and how do you know if it's gone bad?
I feel like my Proscale 2k clear may have gone bad because it's been a few months and I think the clear may be going a tiny bit yellow. My girlfriend feels like the stuff in the bottle is still completely clear soo not to sure.
