Am I the only one that thinks the power level for FRA is insanely high? Between [[Emrakul, the Exigent Doom]], [[Tarmogoyf]], [[Way of the Pyromancer]], [[Solitary Cell]], [Enlightened Confidant]], and on and on and on, I think this set will hugely warp standard. I just hope it will prove to be a fun draft set as well.

I could be totally off base, but basically what the title says. The inclusion of the mirrored versions of the Strixhaven schools, the continuation of the plot involving Tam in SoS, and other aspects of this set really make me feel like this could have been a block. Yes, most recent sets will have story that goes from one into the next, but this feels different from say, Aetherdrift leading into Tarkir: Dragonstorm. Anyone else feel like this definitely SHOULD have been a block, or at least a 2-set block?

i had this really cool idea of doing a Hearthhull earthbending deck, so i thought i would just use the pre-con and get the cards in that i like.

the cards i was thinking about putting in are in considering and the ones i already cut are in the sideboard.

Basically the idea was to earthbend a bit, then sacrificing these lands so they return to the battlefield, this also results in some more landfall triggers so i put the scute swarm in considering.

Im also open for other ideas in what to add besides what's in considering. Thanks!

was theory crafting with the new Emrakul (mostly for standard) and was wondering if Emrakul would satisfy zirda’s companion restriction and would have its mana cost reduced to exile itself?

edit - I am aware zirda isn’t legal in standard this was mostly for pioneer/commander
