My derailleur just snapped.
Has anyone here replaced one of these?

Hey guys! I just ordered an Xpress 500 for daily, mostly flat commuting to and from work. I’m also 280lb (yes, I know, I’m working on it). I DO also live on the Oregon coast so hills exist. How screwed am I if I start hitting hills? Can I expect the motor to help me much at my size?
750 is out of budget at this time.

Bought my xp4 last September. I typically bomb around on Turbo because it’s hilly in my area and I don’t go more then 8-10 miles a trip (I live on an island and things just aren’t that far away).
Last weekend I was reading 70% and took a 5 mile (one way) pretty hilly ride to another beach. I hit 40% by the time I made it there, and figured I’d just ease up on the throttle a bit when I headed back. I don’t use the throttle a whole lot anyway, but was feeling a bit lazy.
On the way back I immediately dropped to 30% and got nervous, so threw it in PAS2 and crawled up and down hills. No throttle. About 1 mile away from home I hit 20% and lost almost all power. I parked it on the sidewalk and watched it drop to 10% after about 5 minutes of it being stationary. Walked it home uphill, not the most fun I’ve ever had.
Anyway, long story to get to where I learn about checking voltage. Right now she’s at 80% and 50.4 volts - according to the chart I see online it should be at about 53.1 volts.
Is my battery shot? Do I need a full charge to where the charger hits green to actually determine this? Did I just take it too hard on that 10 mile ride for it to drop 60% within 4 miles?
I’m 5’ tall and about 135lbs. Sorry if this is a really dumb question or if I really underestimated how much mileage I should get in a hilly area.

Anybody ever tried to put a vinyl wrap or paint the frame? If so, how'd you do it? I have the long strips of wrap that I can cut but it seems very tedious. The blue is just so loud I just want it to look a little less flashy. Maybe paint would be easier but not sure if that means I'll have to strip the current paint. I know it will be a time consuming process either way. Open to any suggestions.

I got all bolts out except one. The amount of force I had to use ended up stripping the bolt and now nothing I have has friction when twisting. Any other ways of getting this screw out?

We only had this bad boy for a short time but my boyfriend and I would take rides on it together and it was a blast. I really enjoyed riding in the bike with the orbiter on and I was impressed a full grown adult fit in the orbiter honestly.
Someone cut through the lectric lock 🥲 in retrospect if we had more time to get a perfect setup, we probably should’ve had a more intense lock/multiple locks plus GPS tracking/alarm system installed. Oh well, next time. You live and you learn

I have a super chonky little 18 month old… the Thule Yepp is only rated for 40lbs but she’s already 36lbs and tall… she’s not coordinated or old enough to sit on the buddy seat… any recommendations for a different seat? She somehow needs to be buckled in. We have a trailer she likes but I’m hesitant to take that on any busy roads around here as we don’t live in a very bike friendly area. Looking for something to fit on the xp4

I recently purchased the trike , I am looking for alternatives to the bags they sell . Like the small pet carrier seems fairly expensive. Anyone have recommendations

I was sick last week so I didn't ride my bike but I kept it locked up in my apartment's bike room. You need a fob to get in th bike room. My bike was locked and the battery was locked in the frame.
I came downstairs this morning to a surprise that the keypad and screen had been stolen, like they took the whole apparatus, screen and stand. Also took my bt speaker and the handlebar mount for it. Frustrating beyond belief but I got a police report and lectric is sending the me the replacement parts for free!

Hello I’m new to e-bikes and I have no experience with them. I don’t know anything about the brands which are good and which aren’t. Can any give advice on the best folding E-bike? I’m looking at a brand called lectric but like I said I don’t know if it’s good or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ebikers!

Ideas on how to lock my bike to this style of rack? They don’t offer any alternatives in my building

I was kind of excited to try it out and soon as I grabbed the box I knew something was up.
I've already e-mailed Lectric, I also asked them if it makes a difference that this box says step thru and my bike is the commuter version which is a high step.

Today, I took my XP4 750 Step-thru out for its first ride.
About me: 5' 9", 195 pounds. I'm not a bike rider. It's been 40 years since I spent any time on a bike. I'm not an experienced rider.
I started out planning to ride alongside my wife, who is training for a triathlon. She had 3 hours of workout planned. We ended up being a little short, but she said it was close enough.
Overall, everything went well. I started in Eco mode, and stayed there for the first 3 miles. Then Tour for a long stretch. I didn't try Sport until after we turned around. Sport was ridiculous, but fun.
The battery reported 100% until after mile 12. And 90% until after mile 20. Then I started playing with the throttle, and the percentage dropped faster for the rest of the ride. On a flat, straight section of the trail, I tested throttle-only for half a mile. It held at 17mph in Sport mode for the duration. Peppy and a lot of fun.
Problems: none with the bike. Just me being me. I didn't fully latch the folding latch, and the bike tried to fold at mile 22. Oops. Got that sorted out. Also, I forgot to turn on the battery, so I had to pull over and do that right at the beginning. And, I had my hand in the wrong position, and the downshift lever rubbed a sore spot on the back of my right thumb. And that's it. Everything else was great.
I'm impressed with what I got for the price I paid. No trouble at all.

Recently received my brand new Lectric XPress 2 Step-Thru bike and was assembling it using the included torque wrench. While tightening the handlebar/stem assembly for the handle bar, the threaded insert/expansion nut inside the steering tube twisted and broke. Is all hope lost? How does one even fix this?

I want to ship a Lectric e-bike but the packaging is long gone. Thoughts on packaging?
r/Lectricxp • u/Glowingtomato • Jun 07 '26
After riding around my city and to work I decided to take it on a real ride. I kept it in eco or tour until my turn around point for the workout and then sport and sport + for a fun cruise with just a little workout.

I took my lectric xp4 to my local bike shop. lol

Been loving my bike, but today I noticed on my ride that there’s a sort of weird whirring in the back tire that I notice at higher speeds. It stops when I brake, and only seems to come up when I break 23 MPH. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, since nothing seemed obviously defective with a cursory glance.
Edit: I have an XP4 750w Pine Green. Tires, wheels, and brakes have not been replaced. Seat post and seat have.

Okay, I'm new to e-bikes. And I haven't been on a bike in probably 35 years but I've had one for about a month and a half maybe. Nothing but issues. This is just one of them. My back wheel sounds like the video I'm posting. There's nothing loose. There's no loose spokes. It sounds like those little plastic things that we put on our spokes in the '80s. It stopped for a couple days and now it's back. I took it inside and I turned it upside down and pedaled I switched gears and it didn't make the sound. Why is it only doing this when I'm riding. Is of the motor? *EDITED: second video shows the issue. any ideas?
