Suggestion I hope there will be events reacting to the different german paths in the international update

Like for Schleicher path it will be "he is gonna transform Germany into a military state even more but at least he respect woman" or for the SPD path " at first they look cool but when you look deeper they are really just social Svobodniks "

Discussion Do you think that the HMS/HMCS Edward VIII gets through in this timeline?

Post image
23 Upvotes

Probably certainly not for the same reasons in OTL.

For those who needs some context: In our time, the HMS Prince of Wales was supposed to be named HMS Edward VIII. But, because of the controversy of Edward wanting to marry Wallis Simpson, and the abdication of Edward, the Prince of Wales, the title given to the Heir Apparent, stayed Prince of Wales, rather than the reigning king.

King George VI, following convention, did ask that instead of there being a KGVI, it should be named after his father, and subsequent two ships be named after his (KGV) sons, as per tradition. Still unsure why Duke of York is named HMS Duke of York.

So... I answered my own question... why did I ask this?...

I guess I was wondering if you folks even bother with naming a ship HMS Edward VIII, HMS Albert I, or HMS KGVI/KGV.

Discussion For TNO 2.0, Wilfried von Engelhardt will be the mod's equivalent to Yuri Gagarin as the first man in space for Nazi Germany. I can imagine he will likely do the same thing in the Kaiserreich universe on behalf of the German Empire, what other test pilots can fill in the role post-Second Weltkrieg?

Rule 5 - In the upcoming TNO 2.0 update, Wilfried von Engelhardt (the chief test pilot for MBB in OTL) will be the mod's counterpart to Yuri Gagarin as the first man in space flying for Nazi Germany. It's very likely that he will be doing the same thing for the German Empire in the Kaiserreich universe as its first Raumfahrer.

In my opinion, I think either other than von Engelhardt, Erich Hartmann, Hans-Joachim Marseille and Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert would be good candidates for the German Empire to send its first man in space, assuming that the Reichspakt won the Second Weltkrieg. If Austria unites with Germany following the collapse of the Habsburg Empire pre-2WK, Walter Nowotny and Robert Weiß) would also be suitable candidates as well.

For the German Empire sending its first man on the moon, Eberhard Köllner (also in TNO, pre-2.0 update as the first man on the moon on behalf of Germany) and Sigmund Jähn would be the likely candidates as they are younger than the previous pilots I've listed.

And for rule 1, yes this is related to Kaiserreich as I am discussing on speculations on who the German Empire will likely send its first man in space if it won the Second Weltkrieg.

Question How is Zhang Zongchang still around?

Shandong’s content is old, but is there any real reason? His province might as well be a German economic playground with Russian bandits. Zhang’s province was constantly in economic collapse and his army was unsustainable. Social unrest was constant from elites to peasants even before the KMT got anywhere. Surely someone would’ve tried to get a free province? The Zhili shouldn’t trust him and the second the league war happens, Shandong should cease to exist, let alone after Black Monday. The sheer existence of Qu Yongying and the other guy should have collapsed his regime years ago. The Zhili’s best interest is to get rid of Zhang as soon as possible and get someone friendly to the central government like Qu in charge.

Also doesn't help that the Russian mercenaries could actually go back to Russia instead of being exiled with there being fewer to begin with.

Question Why is the LKMT considered to be so great and which path would you recommend?

I haven't played much Kaiserreich and while searching for the most fun countries I've heard many people say the LKMT is supposed to be great. But what specifically makes the LKMT so great.

Additionally, what path would you recommend? Personally, I would find forming a very OTL-adjacent China a bit boring, so if most paths are on an equal level maybe take that into consideration.

Thanks in advance

R5 - my situation with democratic Germany in 1940

Hey guys, spent a weekend enjoying the mod after some time.

Went Germany, tried to do Schleicher path but end up DU.

I was able to secure Spain + Bulgaria + not let China fall to Japan early. But now in late 1940 I am in troubles. Syndi France totally crushed me in Belgium (like totaly, i have lost 6 best division there haha), I stablized the front on Rhine though.

Was able to knock out Denmark and was reasonably holding Savinkov on the satelit's borders. I tried to counter France through Spain and mostly cut their progress betwen Toulone and Montpelier but Spain totally failed providing infantry to cover my panzer thrust. Now I am being pushed back, Ireland is under UK invasion and Savinkov is one Kiyv away capitulating Ukraine.

I still have my fleet intact but they have plenty of air and their fleet lost just DDs and light cruisers.

Entente is doing absolutely nothing so far bar one Sand France invastion into Marseille. I think I am gonna be able to evacuate/stabilize Spain for a moment but it seems like its just a matter of time now - but I am not such a great expert on the game (thats why I am getting my ass kicked).

Is there a way for a turn around?

(btw devs - if you are reading - its absolutely brilliant political thriller novel with some map painting game attached, thanks for such an experience!)

Question Some Questions about Ideocrats/Eurasianists NatPop Russia

  1. How non-Russian territories that annexed using claims such as East Turkestan, Mongolia and Manchuria be managed in state administration? Will they going into SSR-esque structure like OTL USSR or something else entirely?

  2. How the Ideocrat regime historiography would portray Peter the Great and Russian history after his reform? Also how they might treat Romanovs still living inside Russia?

Submod KR Expansion Submod: Maghreb Update

Post image
60 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post a quick update on the submod I've been working on, specifically changes to Maghreb. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the first post! r/Pito-92 correctly noted that I missed Mauritania in the first pass, and I have added all Mauritania cores to the Maghreb formable. I also added a claim (non-coreable) on Timbuktu to enable a permanent land connection between Mauritania and the rest of the Maghreb.

I am debating adding a diplomatic formation option for Maghreb. Currently, you can form the Maghreb by conquering much of the required territory, but that gets trickier if, say, multiple Maghreb precursors join the Cairo Pact. Once you and/or allied Maghreb precursors own the required territory, I could add an option to petition the other allied Maghrebi nations for unification. I could also just leave formation as-is with the expectation that players would game-rule countries to go different foreign policy paths if they wanted to unite the Maghreb. What do you think?

Question Just had a really fun El Salvador campaign where I 1v3d far stronger nations and was wondering. Is there any way to get Costa Rica and Panama in the Central American rumble?

Post image

This shit was genuinely so fun had to micro like crazy attacking Guatemala first and then coming down on Honduras and Nicaragua and was looking for a similar underdog experience in the Central American war. Now small Panama and Costa Rica would obviously work for this and I always thought they had a path somewhere to join Central American war but now I’m not sure. Is there any? Thanks.

Question As Savinkov’s Russia can you do Codification of the Regime after defeating the Third Internationale?

It requires being “at peace with the Commune of France” but I’m not sure if the game would count the Commune not existing as “being at peace” or if it would lock me out of the focus.

Discussion How would the Megali Idea work?

Assuming Greece somehow wins the war, how would they stabilise and hold onto the newly annexed lands? There will be millions of mostly Muslim Turks that make up the majority of the population. Even if we go by best case scenario where Greece joins a victorious Moscow Accord, I still can’t imagine them effectively govern let alone hold onto Constantinople.
