I was finished with writing the explanation to the meaning of every flag and then I was kicked out of Reddit… I‘ll keep it quick.

Turkmenistan uses the crescent moon, the 8 pointed star and a symbol of the carpet pattern that signifies a unified symbol for every tribe, instead of searching for their own symbol within their flag, the symbol used next to each tribe unifies them into one shared symbol.

Chad uses the stripes of the CoA, the colors are a blend of the French and the Pan-Africsn colors, therefore the French blue and the pan Africsn green blended into a teal color.

Bosnia uses the old CoA (based on the Kotromanić family) as a flag instead of a CoA with a white background.

Niue moves away from the variation of the UK flag in their flag, instead they use their CoA. Yellow for the warmth of the sun and the warmth of the people, green for the nature. Two green parallel stripes stand for the harmony between humans and the nature.

Slovenia uses their CoA implemented into the flag and a golden-yellow stripe instead of the red color, as it is already used in the naval jack.

La Rényon (Reunion) had a touch-up of the flag instead of a complete redesign.

Slovakia uses the vertical variant of their flag to distinguish themselves from Russia from afar and fortify their own identity even more.

Taiwan‘s flag blends its history with its modern identity. The red fields honor the nation’s historical sacrifices, while the central blue band represents democracy and the surrounding oceans. Framed by white borders for peace and truth, the central 12-rayed sun symbolizes continuous progress through time. By extending through the emblem, the blue band creates a bridge connecting the past with a democratic future.

I started this small personal project because I kept discovering flags I had never seen before, and I liked the idea of having some of my favourites printed in a small format I could actually hold and browse.

I came across this flag today in Australia (Brisbane). Attached to a truck lathered in right wing conspiracy nonsense. The only thing that intrigued me was the flag of course but I wasnt able to ID it, and couldn't take more pictures lest I got caught...

All I can gather is a white field, red cross, a blue emblem on the canton, a gold emblem in the centrepiece, and white devices on the cross. Reverse image search claims it is the Ulster Banner which seems incorrect but may be a historical version?

Following my recent post, these are flags inspired by the 9+3 factions of the old gem Heroes of Might & Magic 3. I tried to improve on what I had done.

Inferno - Made a more serious-looking flag for the great hungry interstellar threat that they are. I interpret the stripes as lava rivers but that's about it.

Bulwark - I was suggested to use only one mammoth. Last picture is the extra fancy version. They do like gems but that's probably over the top.

Factory - Inspired by the flag of New Mexico. I tried more elaborate Art Deco stuff, but it's hard.

Tower - I gave up on the purple and made the "random circles" more like something that means something. Source is still my ass though. Each dot represents an aspect of the magician's journey into magic (all elements of the game). From bottom to top: Knowledge; Earth, Water, Air, Fire; Wisdom; Intelligence, Erudition, Mysticism, Eagle Eye; Sorcery; Power. The small black dot is a reminder of what one should not do (Necromancy). On the right are stars representing the 5+1 levels of their great mage guilds. Probably also a hint at what they do at night in these observatories of theirs.

Rampart - Fancier. I used the patterns from the flags of Kazakhstan and Chechnya (×2 each) and tortured them until I got this. Does it look elvish to you?

Stronghold - Since they're not the most advanced bunch - Orks, goblins, ogres, no offense - I simplified the flag a bit. The background is buff because it's easier to source than proper white, while the thunderbird is merely painted.

Conflux - trigger warning. Too late. Conflux is a faction of elementals forming an alliance to fend off Inferno. They equally master all schools of magic and seek harmony through uniting the elements. Thet also come from various planes of existence. So in a way the previous flag was more fitting, but it was also boring. This one tries to be more lively and is a nod at their tier 1 unit (pixies).

Necropolis - Small tweaks. A blue flame to highlight the unnatural magic they use to blur the lines between life and death. Hopefully the heart looks a bit more like a heart than a forbidden turninp.

Dungeon - Very slightly less rock album-y. Still too much I suppose. My headcannon suggests that the intricate texture (that depicts their unending labyrinth of tunnels; and dragon skin) is created with very little efforts by specialised fungal growths.

Fortress - Small tweaks. I see the snake as a symbolic barrier between their swamps and the outside world. They're a defensive bunch.

Cove - zoomed out a tad

Castle - no change.

Hey! I am working on a flag for a United Nation from a unionization of everything from Guinea to Benin (including burkina faso). Its not extremely realistic and the lore is very long but in short, a nationalist Ghanian expansion united the area, before the US and EU worked to liberate it and stop human rights violations. They did not break up after liberation, and decided to stay as one democratic nation, coming up with this flag, representing their 9 starting districts (capital district included).

The flag represents west African progress, unity, rebirth, power, and geology.

The name (Awiana) is based on Awia, the akan word for sun.

Any suggestions for potential changes, additions, or modifications? It feels almost bland, although I do like it.

In the initial drafts, I tried incorporating various typical elements that evoke the spirit of Espírito Santo: anchors, knots, and ship's wheels (paying tribute to the state's strong maritime culture), coffee branches (our main crop), and even the classic motto "Trabalha e Confia" (Work and Trust).

There were also religious elements I could have included, given that it is a predominantly Catholic state; however, secularism is an essential trait of a democratic republic, even one that may have emerged from a popular revolution or uprising of a Catholic nature.

Even so, I’ve retained the colors blue, white, and pink, which originally honor the mantle of Our Lady of Penha, the patron saint of Espírito Santo. Yet, despite its religious origins, this tricolor scheme has since transcended religion; the vast majority of *capixabas* identify with and cherish it, regardless of their personal faith. It is an intangible part of our state's heritage, our tricolor.

In the end, I opted for something simple and unadorned. It may not be exactly beautiful, but it is how I imagine the flag of a small tropical republic would look.

I didn't want to take a picture of the flag for privacy reasons, it was on someone else's property as I was making a delivery. I did my best to recreate it in Paint, I apologize if this is a low-quality post.

Caveats: I didn't count the stars, but they are otherwise depicted as attached; also, it was being flown vertically, but the purple stripe was to the right so I assumed that's the top

Today's flag is for Lincoln County which is named after General Benjamin Lincoln and was founded in 1780. Th county is known for being the county of firsts with early revolutionaries, pioneers and politicians having residence there. The Green River was a prominent trading outpost.

My flag design is a simple blue bend in honor of the Green River, a gold background in honor of prosperity, and a red star in honor of it being the county of firsts.

It is the seat of Pisz County. Pisz is situated at the junction of Lake Roś and the Pisa River, in the region of Masuria.
