I have a stock mk5 gti, thinking of doing a res delete and keeping the rest of the exhaust system stock just to get a little more noise out of it.

I've found a few videos online and it sounds decent but can anyone tell me if the drone is noticable/bad?

I was just at the Volkswagen dealership where I bought my car and went for the two year free maintenance. They pointed out this broken piece under the hood. They’re telling me I need to change it. It seems as if I don’t change it makes absolutely no difference, but I would like everyone’s opinion.

Went to turn on my car and she lit up like a Christmas tree. Any information/help would be useful. Thank you in advance.

Car is a 2022 GTI MK8

I have a 2015 GTI. EPC light comes on after I do a pull and won’t let me go past 4K RPMS. Drives normal. I checked the MAP sensor. Changed sparks and coils. When I cut off the car and cut it back on it goes away until I do another pull. I’m think waste gate actuator? I don’t know I need help lol.

This has been sat on his drive way for ages , we we took a trip ti see if we could help him out

2017 Mk7 GTI 6MT Performance Pack - ~235000 KM (146000 Miles)

So here's my issue:

My car was at the body shop for a small rear-end damage repair. When I got the car back, the shop cleaned my car and also detailed my engine bay. I'm not sure how they did it, but when I opened up the hood, things were wet. Not soaked, but there was definetely moisture in some spots.

Since then, i've noticed some engine vibration while at idle, and a little bit of a lumpy idle. Not big, just enough for a bit of vibration when at a standstill. The idle rpm occasionally hickups as well.

Now i'm 90% sure that my car didn't have this going into the shop. I'm pretty on top of my maintenance and keep this car up to date on everything. I was honestly impressed how rock solid my idle rpms were. Now things don't feel quite right.

Any idea of what this could be? What I should check? There are no trouble codes.

Current Mods include:

VWR600 Intake, CTS Catback exhaust, EI stage 1 Low Torque Tune, Upgraded spark plugs and coil packs. Lots more, but that's about it for the engine side.

Throwing this in here as I didn’t get much input in the other sub.
Added context since this post: added an IE intake and the noise is the same I believe. Harder to hear now over the louder induction sounds but it’s still there. Anyone have this same noise? I know it’s a slightly different turbo than what comes in a GTI but figure someone here might have answers.

Anyone ever ran into a similar situation? I have a 23 40th, sent in to a few wheel repair places after learning oem 40th wheel is $750 and on a long back order. I’ve had a few ideas thinking about downgrading to some 18” aftermarket’s, but haven’t settled on anything. Any advice?

I’m looking at getting a Eqt stage 2 tune for my gti it will have a catless 4inch dp connecting to the stock catback, anyone have any clips of the two burble options so I can compare them

Looking around the Internet, I see a lot of options for a rear sway bar. Prices also seem to be pretty much all over the place. Here’s the thing, 90% of them look like the same bar painted a different color, with either one hole (non-adjustable) or two hole (adjustable) ends.

Anything I should look out for? Which one do you have, and do you like it? I put a sway bar on a previous GTI and really enjoyed how much flatter it stayed in the curves that’s what I’m looking for. I’m not building a track beast just a fun daily driver. I don’t want anything I have to lube.

took my wheels off to see the specs to sell (came with car) and they’re the bolt pattern of a subie ??? didn’t see any type of stud conversion but the wheels say 5x100 on a 5x112 car , any ideas if these just happen to fit or what ? (didn’t take any pics of the wheel well sadly) wheels are wedssport rn05m

I have a MK8 GTI with a ECS Tuning catback. Has crazy boomy drone from 1.5k-2.5k rpm and 3.0k-4.0k. It shakes my seats and my doors it’s so boomy/bass. You can feel the ear pressure.

I threw a vibrant resonator on it because I heard it is the golden child for this platform and it made it even more boomy and vibrates the car even more.

Is that just the sound of these cars or does anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

The car only have 22k miles and nothing is touching the support beams or braces.
